    I own 24-120 f/4 S and 40 f/2 SE for my Zf. Haven’t removed the 24-120 since months during my travels! It’s so versatile and sharp and kind of defeats the purpose of why I bought the Zf in the first place though (retro looking camera and muffin lens for travel). Haven’t taken any low light/night images yet, but I guess I’d have to switch to the lower aperture lens when time comes.

      Oh the 24-120 sounds great - haven’t tried it, but a super versatile focal range. The 40mm is great, but more vintage character than perfect IQ. Happy shooting!

    I love the 85mm on FF or the 56mm on crop sensors. In a country like India where street photography alienates people, it helps to maintain the distance and still tell a story. I don't own a camera myself. I borrow my friend's Z6 for most of my street photography walks and I take only the 85mm 1.8 with me most of the time.

    Ps. I have the zf and I have the front button near the lens set for auto focus. And so if I scroll the back wheel it will do mf, af-s, a-fc. The front wheel does 3d tracking single point and any other point or zone focus I have. I think people don’t always remember to see what the front dial does when a button is held down.

Using a crop m6mk2 currently and loving it and a 32mm 1.4 which is about a 50mm 2.24, works quite well for my daily family life photos. cant wait to watch your fuji video as I'm always tempted by fuji except for their AF compared to canon's r6mk2

    Another great video, Jack. For my purposes I need to go a bit wider for my event shooting. For street the max for me is probably 50mm. I'll probably pick up the 24-120 when I pick up the Z6iii next year. As an aside, when I finished graduate school, I was offered a stipend to teach in Osaka. I had barely started planning when my father fell ill. I stayed instead but was left all these years with an unmet desire to visit Japan. I will go one day but love living vicariously through you with the Zf!

      Family always comes first, hopefully you get a chance to visit Japan sooner rather than later. It is the most drastically different travel and photography experience from my normal everyday life. I have heard lots of good things about the 24-120!

    I just missed the start of the premiere of this one, but came back afterward to watch it in full. I found your narrative in this video to be excellent. I'm in the planning stages of my first trip to Japan next year, and you left a few tidbits in this video I found useful - Shinjuku is now on my radar. I know based on your style that these videos must take a lot of effort to produce, despite only being about 10 minutes long. I hope you continue to refine your craft and make gradual improvements. You've got a lot of potential with your different style, and you'll eventually find your ikigai within the style.

    • @BokehTherapy
      @BokehTherapy 5 дней назад

      Thank you Rob - hoped I pulled off the writing this week, always a gamble trying to stick the landing. Shinjuku gets a bad rap because of how busy it can be, but the quieter areas are very beautiful. More refinement next week!

      Have to agree with ChrisThe1 - The 5k subs does not reflect the quality of Jack's content. I mean, just focus on on the personal reflection he is sharing around the 7 minute point in the vid!? Who hasn't found themselves out on another photography walk and feeling a growing sense of anxiety due to the sense we are not able to 'see' the images that must be, somehow, in front of us. I see that you were packing with multiple lenses while traveling. I do that too. Problem for me when doing street on spot is confuse with which lens that should I use. Back at my first years of photography, i lost many moments and time because of changing lenses many times. Could you share how you make decision how to choose lens for street hunting if you brought some lens Thanks.

    • @BokehTherapy
      @BokehTherapy 5 дней назад

      I try to go out with two lenses and 1 body - 1 lens on first leg of photo walk, and the other lens on the return leg. I don’t bother changing lenses on the spot, just when I stop for a break before heading back
