Sonic 3 & Knuckles: The best classic Sonic game
In this video, I look at the Genesis classic Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Not only is this visually impressive, but the gameplay is amazing. This is Sonic Team and Sega's best entry from the 8 and 16-bit era.

Christmas Themed Games 5 - Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Christmas Chronicles

Review - Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
Просмотров 3 тыс.Год назад
I've finally taken the time to play through Lament of Innocence on the Playstation 2. It wasn't as bad as I remember it back when I played it new, but still has some issues. Probably the biggest is how dark the game is with no brightness controls. I pumped up the contract and brightness by about 200% for the capture, so if you see me constantly walking into walls in the video, it's because I co...

Review: Beyond Oasis (Genesis) - Overhyped or Underrated?
Просмотров 3,3 тыс.Год назад
In this review, I'm looking at Beyond Oasis for the Sega Genesis. This is an overhead action adventure game most similar to the 2D Legend of Zelda games. It gets a lot of praise, but is it deserved? Tune in and find out. Thanks a lot for watching.
Review: 1943 - The Battle of Midway (NES)
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.Год назад
Capcom would port the popular arcade game 1943 to the NES with mixed results. The game feels average, mostly due to the bland backgrounds and lack of enemy variety, but adds extra levels, a leveling up system among other enhancements. Definitely worth trying at least once. I recently played Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure on the PC. It's a fun action RPG from Nihon Falcom, the makers of the Ys and Trails series. It plays much like the modern Ys games and it features a light hearted story of a young girl, Parin, who saves her monster friends from the evil Phantoms. Retro Review: Ys Book I & II (TurboGrafx-16 CD) - A great intro to the series

Doom and Doom II as I experienced them

There's nothing I can say in a review that hasn't already been said, so instead, I discuss my experience with the game in the 1990. The game is revolutionary for it's time and very rarely has an RPG come along that has captured the innovative nature of this game. Thanks a lot for watching.

    Great review of those nintendo games on the 2600, BUT your forgot 1 game, that’s sky skippier wich ironically only came out on the 2600 and not on the nes. Am glad am owning those gamesbut donkeykong jr looks and plays bismal. Especially that stupid electrical stage were you cannot tell whether an aligator will pass or hit you once climbing a rope and there are also no power ups in that version either.

    I’ve been playing this and it’s definitely way too heavily criticized for not much good reason at all imo. For a Gameboy game it’s solid. I think people need to actually take a look at the platforms games library and re examine how hard they are on them. There are many, many, many worse Gameboy games than this by a very large margin.

    I mean, this is one of my all time favourite games. I was super salty when they took it off of the Steam store. I don't agree about the controls. A 6 button is nice to have, but I played it back in the day with a 3 button and it was fine. Some of the platforming is pretty nasty though, at least the ones with the moving platforms. I didn't think the ones with static platforms were that hard

    10:01 The part where you talk about 'it looking like your hitting the enemy'. You are showing video of you fighting a bunch of Slimes.... enemies that you should be CROUCHING in order to hit reliable. If you aren't crouching, then you can only hit them when they jump, as they are so low to the ground! Same with snakes and half-zombies. Regular guy enemies are NOT very hard to hit at all

    My biggest complaints were always that enemies respawn too quick. It was annoying to defeat an enemy, scroll back a micrometer, and then find the enemy there again. Made vertical scrolling areas especially tough. Other complaint was that you never got to use the sub-weapons you collected. I would have loved it if you gained the ability to play a mode with all the traditional subweapons if you unlocked them all - even better if you could play as her son with these weapons. It "should" have been easy to do if they just recycled Belmont's Revenge sub-weapons across all regions. Would have added a good amount of replayability to the game. Other than those two complaints, I mostly enjoyed it.

    Still bothers me that Sega completely bypassed the thought of making a Master System classic mini console and sent straight for 2 Genesis Classics. There were so many gems on that console that would've made a banger of a classic mini.

    Great video, but you are missing especially Phantasy Star (awesome JRPG, far greater than anything on the nes) but also Castle of Illusion and Land of Illusion, both starring Mickey Mouse. these 3 games are must-plays for anyone into Sega Master System imo.

    Solar Jetman is one of the easiest games on the console. The only way it’s hard is if you don’t buy anything. The first time you go to level 12 don’t spend anything and copy the password, they screwed up the coding and if you load the stage after a failure you’re items won’t load but when you use it you retain your money and are in the store. Once you master the controls and get that you’re supposed to farm the levels and know about the 12 glitch it’s cake.

  • @jaredt2590
    @jaredt2590 22 дня назад

    This is Dracula II, the short ending is the best one in that game, in Simon’s Quest it’s the middle mediocre one Dracula lives and nothing changes aside from some flowers growing in the future.

  • @jaredt2590
    @jaredt2590 22 дня назад

    Castlevania legends is fun but you won’t like it unless you’re really good at these kinds of games. If you’re not you won’t have a good time. Making Trevor a 1/4 vampire and Dracula’s grandson was stupid though, I don’t know how that actually made it to the game.

This was high quality difficulty. A real challenge. Enjoyable. I never felt the need to complete it, i just enjoyed the game play.

    I really wish this game would’ve gotten a remake like phantasy star 1 and 2 did. It definitely would’ve benefited from the quality of life improvements but without that it’s stuck as the awkward middle child that nobody wants to look at. Heck phantasy star 4 yada yada’d its plot and it doesn’t even get acknowledged in phantasy star online 2 outside of technically introducing Rappies to the series

My only complaint was that the timer caused artificial difficulty.

    I agree Dread is too locked down. It's like it's linear, but trying to pretend it isn't with backtracking that really only gives you one way to actually progress. Metriod now has the problem that any secret item off the main path does not matter because there nothing important off the main path and you barely get to leave it. Ironically now Zelda has that problem too by being so open that random exploring can't get you a new item or ability because nothing can be required to progress in the open world because it's too open. Both have made finding secret items irrelevant.

    arguably the best music I've ever heard in a game! but Curse of Darkness and Symphony of the Night are awesome soundtracks too! Bck like 20 years ago, all the backtracking almost made me give up on this game- but my neighbor buddy lent me his game-guide/book that had all the maps of Lament, so I finished it using that :). Though it is confusing how prettyboy Leon got his hair all emo'd out like that in the middle ages LOL. And why does Rinaldo seem kinda gay for Leon, with his open shirt and "friendly advice"? Even Matthias seems like he's leading Leon into "joining him for eternity" now that both their girlfriends' are both dead? Something gay going on there too! An interesting aspect of Castlevania... :)

    I'm not sure what the hate for the game is. It's a pretty solid Castlevania. I mean, it's as tough as nails (I thought it was at least as tough as Castlevania Adventure 1... which I never finished until I was able to use savestates on the Gameboy DS), But, I don't think that's a bad thing. Lots of Castlevanias are punishing (I still haven't finished Castlevania XX,,,, and not for lack of trying.)

    this was the first console i had access to as a kid. my dad had bought it when it first came out. i would’ve been about 6/7 years old in the 90s and we had the box tv in the wood cabinet. i would play Hang On constantly and eventually screwed up the tv because of it. i would continue to play this console into teenage years while having access to other consoles thanks to friends. i would eventually come to play zillion and obsess on that game on the weekends when i would go to my dads house after my parents divorce. not mention playing golf, football, baseball and sometimes wrestling with dad. it’s somehow became lost somewhere in the family. i would love to own this console again.
