Gonna try this out tonight with a friend because of this review! I've known about the game for a long time, but this review got me motivated to give it a try. Great video!
Nice review! I always enjoy your insightful commentary, even for games I've never heard about, like this one. I remember the relative drought of games during those early days of the TG-16, and I agree it might have helped if they had marketed this game and its multiplayer capabilities a bit more. Your comments on the US box art illustration are savage, but accurate 😁
When I got my Turbografx back in '92 I got Bonk's Revenge and Dungeon Explorer. I didn't really care for the game. But after I got my Turbo Duo Christmas of '92 I eventually got Dungeon Explorer II and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now, I enjoy both. They are actually unique games as there is nothing like them on other systems. Though I guess Crystal Bean being a bizarre port of Dungeon Explorer II means there is on but, I prefer the original version by far.
Currently you'll have to emulate or play on original hardware or the TG16 mini. It was on the Wii U eshop, and the Playstation store for the PS3, but nowhere on the currently supported shops.

I'm thinking about picking up a copy. How did you like it?
Nice work. I had this as a kid back in the day, and it was awesome.

Great video dude. I had the SEGA CD game, and assumed it was a port of the TurboGrafx-16 game for a long time. :D
I assumed that as well since other TurboGrafx games like Lords of Thunder were the same.
Hasta hoy vi que gauntlet fui la primera versión
Anywhere you can play this or only emulator and original?

@@retrogamingknight cool, I'll take a look. Thanks as always for great content!
What are some good PC Engine/TG16 emulators ? It's a system I don't have any experience with
