(Video 95) Tomato Harvest Tour | Colorful Tomatoes | End of Summer Harvest | Gardening Adventures
I love beautiful red tomatoes, but I realize that there are a lot of heirloom and hybrid varieties that have other beautiful colors and shapes. This year I wanted to try some new tomatoes and see how they turn out. I wanted to add some yellow, orange, purple and green to enhance salads and other snacks and meals. Firm tomatoes are great for slicing, while juicier ones are great for salad, stew, soup, etc.
Color in vegetables usually indicates compounds such as chlorophylls which have nutritional and health benefits. This would add to their visual appeal.

It does not need too much water or feeding, and it is tolerant to heat, given enough water. Kalanchoe in containers needs more water without rotting. Darkness of 14 hours is needed over the Winter for Kalanchoe to bloom next year. I like the Kalanchoe foliage colors and shapes. And, th...

Wouldn't it be easier to compost in your garden container, while your plants are growing? I decided to try and keep a composter at the bottom of the planters. It has been very easy to create this kind of container gardening. I was happy with the vibrant and healthy growth of leafy plants. But, I am also really happy with tomatoes growing this way. I like having lots of worms in container garden...

Summer is a great season to plant Salvia. I normally plant blue Salvia seeds from Spring to mid Summer. Salvia seeds are small seeds, so do not plant them deep. I just put them on soft soil and keep moist till they germinate. If you have seen my Coleus videos, you can see how I plant this type of seed. Salvia comes in some common colors, which is the white, reds, and blues. Some unique colors m...

(Video 66) A Wonderful Grape For The Containers | Prolific, Fast-Growing, Delicious Container Grape.
Looks like yellow sun burnt, hard skin aswell, good abbadance and quality. Nice Thanks.
Hi. I don't trim all the growth on the top so that they can shade over the tomatoes, but there will some sunburn always. Tigerella, Mr. Stripy, and some Zebra tomatoes have lots of yellow streaks. Thanks for watching.
how many gallons is that container you're using?
I believe it holds 10 gallons. I mostly looked for larger diameter for enough space. For a good crop, I would not use less than 7 gallons.
@@gardeningadventures83 perfect, thank you so much!
Do you recommend us planting the wooden stakes before they grow tall?
Hi. Generally, for most plants we worry about damaging roots when we stake late. So, it is better to stake as early as you can to avoid hitting any roots.
Super video, thank you! 🌺 🍾❤️
Hello! Amazing simple video! There are things that could be improved, but overall the content is very high-level. Thanks for doing this!
Thanks for watching.
Stay away from Ferry Morse seeds. Multiple times I’ve had different seeds that labeled.
I would think that there is not enough room for all the roots of each plant. But they got big.
Super helpful, thanks!!!😊
Great job 👍
Amazing❤️❤️❤️
So beautiful 😍 thank you for sharing ❤️
Can you tell me if your pots were 18” wide or other?
This one is 20 inches in diameter, holding about 10 gallons. I re-used it later for sunflowers! Thank you for watching.
Beautiful. How many seeds did you put in the pot?
Some seed packs have better germination. I generally would use at least 3 with the regular seed quality. You can also place more seeds in a larger planter and transplant some of the seedlings out to other containers. Thank you for watching.
First time this year! Do they attract a lot of bees? Trying to figure out where to put them to avoid wind, too much sun, too little sun, in containers that won’t be too close to walkways?
Hi. They do not attract too many bees, compared to more fragrant flowers. If your area gets too hot, place them in morning sunlight and provide half-shade in the afternoon. If you place rocks at the bottom of your planters and water well, they should do well in the wind. But, serious winds may force you to support the flower stalks. Hope this helps.
Thank you for the video. As I have a small garden and love hollyhocks I will definitely be getting to grow in pots. South Africa
Yes, they are quite possible to grow in containers. and you can make move them to different places based on your interest and based on climate conditions.

Just wanted to show my thanks on this vid, ill just say why tho'. Avin viewed umpteen similar vids b4 yours an there all focusing on themselves an there ego's! An plus yours us goid wen i watch it an dont skip. So thanks ill be bak wen i require more advice, this is my 2nd amateur season an ive learnt more this time an ive not even got out in the garden yet! Its definitely a 5P's (Prior Preparation Prevents Poor Performance) situation! So thanks 🎉
Excellent video!
Thank you. And thanks for watching.
Nicely done. Out of curiosity, what size container did you use?
It holds 10 gallons, with a 20-inch diameter, enough to space the sunflower plants.
Как зовут этот томат?
hi love the channel....what do you fertilize your container pomegranates with during season...or more importantly when they start to leaf out in spring...Thank you
Beautiful calanchos blooming 👍🏻 stay connected 💜
Beautiful!
Good information 👍💚🌱
Container blackberries are fun, but they do require more maintenance that in the ground or in raised beds. I use containers because it's easier that trying to make my poor hard clay soil grow anything, and it is also infected with a fungus that will stunt some plants and outright kill others. The containers can be treated with a fungicide I don't like to have to do, but it's better than losing your plants.
I grew these this year. Cant say im impressed. Ill give them another try next year tho
IIKE IT VERY much, a very good production, Thanks for the video, nice,
13 👍like 👍 very good 👍
Nice-sized sunflowers in that pot! I thought they’d be fighting for nutrients and that would stunt their growth! 🎉
Hold the flies😂
The video is great to learn about sunflowers 🌻
Would have given a thumbs up, but the music ruined the video. Music not necessary plus it was much too loud.
You do know you can control the volume, right? You can even mute it entirely. Since there is no voiceover, I don’t see your point in complaining.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 have you never controlled volume before? It’s not like there’s a voiceover. Don’t be a goof
the music was great
You could turn it off. There wasnt any voice over The subtitles take half of the screen. Are you okay
Sorry! Thanks for watching.
You do know don't you that you can apply a "FUNGICIDE" and stop the diseases?

Thanks for watching.

I planted 20 ponytail palm seeds and they all came up. They are adorable. Very informative video. However, I find it very annoying to have to "read" a video. Narration would of been much better.
Beautiful colour. Thank you ..😍♥️
I had my first one last year. So Beautiful. Have some started in the house now. Soon to go out. Still chilly in South Eastern Michigan.
In warm climates, they come back every year. And, each year, trimming will allow more blooing in the same year before winter!
I have blooming hollyhocks now. Sharing with family in pots would be fun!
It would be great as a growing gift!

I purchased one from the Amazon and one from Etsy. Thanks for watching.
Doesn't look like a very big harvest. I agree with the other commenter better off with a hybrid.
If dont et your tomato plants in by mid June you wont get much of a harvest before frost takes them out in Northeastern ohio.
I heard there are two abe Lincoln tomatoes out there but dont no which is which.
Baker Creek has the original line from the 1920’s. But I believe in the 70’s they developed a hybridized version with better yields but smaller in size supposedly.
