There are several great flowering plants that do best during late Winter and early Spring. Many of these plants have beautiful blooms that would wilt easily once the warmer air arrives. Violas, for example, are very beautiful for containers and landscapes, but their flowers will not last once the hotter sunshine arrives. That is why the end of Winter is a great time to plant these in a variety of gardens and enjoy their blooms and foliage. Many local nurseries and discount stores such as the 99-cents stores bring these wonderful flowers at a lower price. I was able to purchase violas, kalanchoe, cyclamen, and many other plants from the 99-cents stores.
Tropical houseplants are nice for inside of the house and cooler outside areas. Some of these are unique in their foliage and colors. Most will last a long time with proper care. I have included the most important practical tips for these amazing plants from all parts of the world.
Kalanchoe will grow foliage during the Summer and Fall after the blooms finish. It can also be propagated by cutting easily.
