Hapsids are one of the reasons I don't play HotA. Maybe on the pro scene you can somehow maintain balance, but in my amateur game Hapsids are far beyond any balance. If I don't hit armageddon in the mage glide, and I don't get to black dragons quickly, I always lose to Cove. Seriously, this is the only idea I came up with when fighting this castle, which is far beyond any balance, (a unit with "deadly sight" when shooting XD, another that casts curses when shooting XD, and that level VII).

My dear sir, First of all, thank you for this nostalgic video that aims to reflect on the certain advantages of the best secondary abilities. If you allow me, I would add a caveat to your list: the charisma ability ("Leadership") is absolutely necessary, in association with that of diplomacy. The reason being that creatures from different cities have a mutual negative impact on their respective morale, causing them to lose, as a result, the advantages of positive morale and, even worse, can lead to a decline causing your powerful units to lose turns, which can become fatal for your numerical and tactical advantage. You will tell me that this can be compensated by suitable artifacts which, if you still have to find them, will force you to occupy precious places for other objects that are just as important, or even more so. And the great advantage of being able to use your troops more than once per turn is such a gain, although random, that a situation can be greatly improved. A blessing for oneself, hell for others. Besides, I agree with you on the other points made in the video. I wonder, however, if the Sorcery ability, in large maps and at high levels, would not be interesting enough to become essential for the power of spellcasting heroes, especially for "Armageddon" type tactics. I think magma elemental should be at the tier 4 unit list,not tier 5,and even at the tier 4 they will still lose most of the battles.So basically,Magma elemental are a weak tier 4 unit

1 Vampires 2 Ogres 3 Basilik 4 Crusaders ( yes,basiliks beat crusaders if they use their petrifying every 5 attacks) 5 Medusas 6 Mages 7 Pegasus 8 Demons 9 Energy elemntals

Do you know how much speciality of a hero influences on the level of units, that they are leading? You say it's +3/+3 for psyhic elementals, I wonder if it works the same with lower lvl units..

Useless comparision, cerberus is No.1 cause it wins all straight fights against other units of 3 lvl. It has a disadvantage though; it's the only unit in game that has reduced dmg once upgraded ( from 2-7 to 2-5 ) You've said that griffins will always retaliate, which is an obvious lie, cause it will not retaliate to every unit that counters retaliations.

i honestly think gunnar isn't even top 3 dungeon, alamar, jeddite and especially deemer are far better in both early and late game

Idk I found naga to be pretty crap unit. Is slow and low defence. You can shoot it down in good numbers because of that and their support for other units is because of speed weak. Their impact is quite limited also because they have to hexes and sometimes they do not fit where are needed. For me they are weakest. I like that they hit hard but then is better to have master g stacks and buff your shooters rather then nagas in army. Later game nagas again do not make big difference when you can have level 7 units or other power stucks. For the price there is not enough value. I will not create my list here but I prefer other 6 lvl units because of their usefulness in towns they come from.

Milka is best but I like pit lords the most. Such a bully of the battlefield. Hehe.

Never know about magic elementals but then protection spells reduce its dmg too? Or immune magic spell from earth school?

Everybody forgot about Unicorns and Dendroids ;) For me the death blow of a dread knight should be higher on the list, in top 3

Archangel Resurect ability is number 1 ability in the game. Ofcourse it is context based, as behes ability can be the top or the Vampire Lords.

Seeing some of the comments, I can't wait for the factory to come out and there will be complaining that too OP ;)

People that never played HotA complaining about how op cove is, are just pure noobs if not worse. Go play HotA yourself, do some maps and make true point of view - tests like this vide proof nothing. It's great expansion(far better balanced and created than wog) and Cove is just "ok" town. lvl 1 and 2 is thrash(useful as skeletons) lvl 3 costs much and made of paper(deadly shot with third upgrade is not the same as death stare, not even close). lvl 4 is nice flying crusader but still made of paper and die quickly lvl 5 is weaker sisters of zealots(without "no melee penality" easy to block) lvl 6 is hard to kill but quite slow and not so useful besides defense, but it fits perfectly for this town as the only one true defenders lvl 7 is only true shiny strong creature of this town, but still quite easy to manage with spells or block(no fly and 2hex)

I dosagree with vampire lords being number 1 but overall a good list. Mighty gorgons are seriously op, i love them. Edit: also the Jousting ability of Champions and Cavaliers is great, you use haste on them for extra movement and they are stack killers early in a fight.

all Earth spells are tediously overpowered. Fire and Water spells are somewhat underwhelming. Needs balancing.

Just one more thing... Is Shadow of Death... If you are wearing Badge of Courage, it will protect you from Berserk spell. Try it... I belive no one knows this 😅🤟

Absurdly powerful creature in high number against high tier units.

1) Air tome 2) Earth tome 3) spellbinders Hat Angelwings as number one makes no sense. Air Tome enables fly AND dimensions doo,r and chain lightning.

For me titans are better than black dragons.Titan can get buffs and black dragon not.Titans have higher dmg than black dragons.
