David L. Lander and Harry Shearer as The Credibility Gap performing their rock band take on Abbott and Costello's classic Who's on First in the anthology series Likely Stories (1981). This visual of the sketch varies from the take in the film Cracking Up (1977) in that it restores the last few lines, which really land the joke. Variants of this sketch... Quintessential scene stealers ❤
Big part of my childhood love it watch it b4 I go to sleep.nanny and I on the couch her with her tea telling my grandfather and me to shut up ,Archie bonkers is on.yes she called it that.lmfao
A sweet end to a show.
Casually knocking down the fifth wall and the sixth wall, here. Michael McKean here playing an actor who plays Lenny on Laverne and Shirley. Then on another Fernwood tonight or American tonight we had Harry Shearer playing the president of the Tom Snyder appreciation society.. AS a brilliant Tom Snyder impression.. Little did we know what giants of the future of Comedy were walking among us here. I do know that as a 15-year-old watching these shows, Barth Gimble was my jam. 😊
Worth noting that the Tom Snyder shtick went back even further (and that Harry was on the writing staff for America 2-Night)! ruclips.net/video/r0kOcP0b5LI/видео.htmlsi=7mPMO3wZ_w2G_eYn
Lol 🕊 😆 🤣 😂 😹 💙 🕊 ThankYou N MuchLove!!!
it's Steuben...

Go Squiggmond! Dr. Demento turned me PuNk.
Best show ever.
Sorry I meant Lauri
I have a serious crush on Laurie ❤
RIP Martin Mull, Fred Willard, and David L. Lander. 😢 You'll always be funny. Thank you
The good old days
Hello!!
Nearly all gone now...😢
Squiggy
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I gave my granddaughter the nickname Angelface
I love this show, but I didn't understand the theme and subject matter of some of the episodes.
RIP L&S
Oh, what a great writer's show just perfection, and the 2 together ❤️ were just awesome and. I love Penny Marshall and, now the late Cindy Williams. Our heroes keep leaving us. On the same time as Mork and Mindy and all the great shows in the 1970s and 80s .Great memories of them all. ❤ Penny Marshall is buried beside her famous brother Gerry Marshall, who discovered Robin Williams & went into the stratosphere.
I agree about these two. A great show!
The California season was a disaster, and the reason for Cindy's departure was glossed over.
The adventure they had on the train was my favorite episode. It was a two-parter.
History Won't Repeat It's elf On This One😢😢
My 26 year old daughter loves this show too!
My all time favorite show!
Legends!
Lenny wrote this song for the show !
Why was she so excited about the beanie baby at the end?
She collected them!
I was working at budget tapes and records in Federal Way, Washington and bought this LP. I absolutely loved it. Haven't played it in years, but I still have the poster inside. Never hung it up. Think I have another copy of it to with the poster.
I love watching this show always and forever love me ❤️
Thanks for all the great memories. ✌🏽❤️💛🖤🎶🇦🇺 to everyone who made it happen, both in front of the camera and behind it.
2broke girls max and karoline and and and... penny and cindy did an episode of sam n kat on nickelodeon playing their older selves off screen
I can only understand how great this show was now as an adult not as a kid watching it at 8:30 after Happy Days.
Michael McKean is so talented. He was excellent as Chuck McGill in Better Call Saul.
1:37 Wages halfed when women entered the work force…..you go girl.
"Play it warm and mellow, Squiggs."
Can you imagine how much fun the cast had with this?
Michael McKean turned this into a movie and an entire career.
25:05 Squiggy "we are expecting two gorgeous chickaroonies" Too funny!
I was never a huge fan of Kirsty but I am glad Shelly left cheers because if she hadn't the series would have been all played out in a year or two. But as it turned out, that change kept the show growing and changing. I think the same thing happened to M.A.S.H.. Nobody wanted Trapper John or McClain Stevenson to leave but if they hadn't, would we have ever discovered Harry Morgan could act? Its not like you could tell from watching Dragnet. And can you imagine MASH without Charles Emerson Winchester, the third?!?!?
Love this show so much
Barbie Benton had a screechy voice and no acting talent. None. She was Hugh Hefner’s POA and that’s it.
I was 25, my 51 yr old daughter was 2. I heard one of the young women at work tell a co-worker she could do such and such that evening as long as she was home in time to see Laverne and Shirley. I didn't watch it regularly, but for some reason that one incident became a memory. Watching now it's so easy to see how this show is remembered so fondly by those who grew up with it. Love and blessings to you all. ❤
Michael McKean was also awesome as an SNL cast member
im here because of bob odenkirk
I live in Milwaukee. Laverne & Shirley once lived down the street from me. Those were some Happy Days 🤗
1:57 he can't help but slip into Bud Abbot's pattern of speech! :D
My friend works at Paramount. He took me on a golf cart to the outdoor set where they filmed the Laverne and Shirley intro. I was born in 1971, L&S and Happy Days was a huge part of my childhood.
