One thing that bothers me is the story itself in the end. In the end the whole atmosphere turned basically (I say) quite depressing and can't be fixed by beating the final boss. And there's gonna be always that one same depressing music no matter where you at or what you doing in the entire game. Even selecting another island in the menu would be depressing by the music. Same thing in Mario Sunshine. You beat Bowser at the end but Peach is still gone and the Toad's are sad. But at least besides that everything else is peaceful. Fantasy Life on 3DS doesn't have that problem. But who continues playing a game that is already beaten, right?

Honestly, while I don’t think the edgy style would work for M&L, I would love to see them recycle it for a future Mario game, possibly 3d. I’ve always seen Mario and Luigi as sort of a handyman character. Their willingness to do anything no matter how dangerous, and the more worn out overalls and ruffed up hat and shirt support that idea well. And I REALLY like the yellow cape, not just cuz it’s a reference to Mario world, but also cuz I could see them wearing the capes when on assignments from the princess. Like they just wear their normal outfits when doing general hero stuff, but when meeting with peach or important people, they wear the capes to show a sense of professionalism. I’m probably going too deep into this cuz it’s Mario, but I’ve always had a habit of doing that so

I'm glad to find someone who is speaks highly of the game instead of comparing it to heavily to the older titles. Acquire put their whole heart and soul into the game and I can't wait to see what they do with the next entry.

So brothership is what if pookemon showdown had an agreement with nintedno to be The Switcg 2 pack in title like Wii sports was for the Wii? But was the mainline pokemon game for gen10? Like I know for a fact a scary amount of pokemon fans would regocne as their favoite pokemon game is now the 1st oarty Pokemon torment standard... But would it be as successful as any mainline split edtion mainline pokemon realse? Which that is pokemon not Mario and Lugigi... Which let's bve honest should have a custom battle mode and a pit of 100 trails long ago isntetad of a normal RPG story mode. Espacly after the series nnmade the jump to the DS which was known for games being loaded to the brim with content and alternate modes beyond story... Also if they to give mario and luiogi the Super paper mario treamnt ... why didn't they? Maybe in a 3D world style? The Game Freak leak already confirmed that Pokémon Legends Z-A *ISN'T* cross-gen, so......yeah. Plus Game Freak & TPC aren't exactly known for jumping onto new systems right away while the install base is small, so it wasn't realistic to expect anyway.

The predictions I like the most were Mario Kart Dimensions not being a numbered game and shifting formula in some way, a New Mystery Dungeon and POKEPARK RETURNING WITH 3 SOMEDAY WOULD MAKE ME SOOOOO HAPPPY. I'LL TAKE ANYTHING EVEN A 1 AND 2 REMASTER.

I rarely drop games but this is one of those times,the pace killes the game cause i cant do nothing whitout "ehi go back and check that one thing" and the entire gwme is just making the play time longer for no reasons This game could have been 30h if it was well paced

The thing that I feel that feels most off about this is that this doesn't leave a whole for the next few years. The way Nintendo does its release schedule is that it will space out it's biggest selling titles to fill out the lifespan of the system. Internal Nintendo especially can't all come out in the same year and get good support. In terms of infrastructure analysis, I classify Nintendo's releases in the following tier system S-tier - Major system selling titles that carry the platform. Titles like these mostly sell north of 10 million and will drive platform sales. Series include Mario (both 2D and 3D), 3D Zelda, Mario Party, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Switch Sports/Ring Fit, Smash, mainline Pokemon, Monster Hunter, mainline Dragon Quest. The last 3 are messy (with 2 of them being 3rd party) but, they are critical in Asia markets. Since they can't count on them, the relative space they will launch are going to be cover a couple lower tier titles. With the exception of launch years, they are generally only going to have two of these in a given year plus Pokemon. 2024 has been the only year with 1 with Mario 3D All-Stars fitting in the 2nd slot for 2020. A-tier - Strong selling title that will engage the main platform audience. Titles like these will generally be above 4 million and can carry a quarter. Sometimes they will move hardware well too. Series include Mario Sports, Donkey Kong and other Mario-related series, Kirby, 2D Zeldas/spinoffs, remasters of S-tier titles, major Pokemon spinoffs, Clubhouse Games/Wii Party, Metroid, Pikmin. These will generally be once a quarter though sometimes we see them hedging their bets with 2 like this year with Paper Mario TTYD and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD B-tier - Solid selling titles that are more for targeted demographics, generally hitting in the 1-2 million area. This has Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, Brain Age, WarioWare, Bayonetta/Astral Chain, several third party publishing deals like Octopath and the Skyrim Switch port, C-tier - Passion projects that reach out to niche markets. They typically don't sell over 1 million but, they benefit Nintendo image, relations with third parties, or are experimental stuff that can help with development. So, assuming we consider the current lineup of 2025 Switch to be DKC Returns HD - A tier, Metroid Prime 4 - A tier, Pokemon Legends - S tier and Xenoblade X - B tier. We should expect something akin the 3DS's support in 2018 for the rest of the Switch's lifespan with a couple third party ports in place of the Wii U ports. I'm thinking Kirby: Planet Robobot Deluxe in mid April (a week or two before Golden Week), Metroid Prime 4 in July, Fire Emblem: New Genealogy in September and that beta-test title as a cross-gen game alongside Pokemon Legends in October. Side Order also gets added to the NSO Expansion Pack in September. Unsure of how the third-party ports will fill out the rest of the year but in the quieter months, stuff from Bandai Namco, EA, and other publishers. For the Switch 2 proper, I'm thinking 3D Mario and a BOTW Remaster at the May launch alongside a small scale New IP, a new IP akin to Splatoon & ARMS in June, a new Warriors game collaboration in August, Mario Kart in November, and a new RPG in December, either in partnership with Square Enix or an under-recognized developer like Lancarse. The BOTW Remaster would include the DLC but also a new questline adding in another dungeon. In addition, I think they will do next-gen patches for certain Switch games with the first happening at launch but, these will only be the bigger titles plus a couple marquee titles like Bayonetta 3. For NSO, I think this year will only be revised NSO apps that will update the UI to be a more engaging experience and add Shareplay options. In terms of the reveal trailer, I am thinking beyond those launch titles, we will see stuff mirror the Switch reveal trailer like Baldur's Gate 3 instead of Skyrim, , still have sports, plus Call of Duty and Monster Hunter. Hard to put a finger on what the big third party games will be that aren't late ports but, I would suspect that all the multiplatform Microsoft games except maybe Indiana Jones get ports in 2025.

Well 2024 was alright I guess since we got a new Mario Party and we have the comebacks of both Mario and Luigi and Epic Mickey. But I know I was hoping that this year we would get both remakes of Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby Planet Robobot in a two-pack Collection and also having a remake of Tomodachi Life to come to Switch this year but it never happened and it's sad that we didn't get DLC for Super Mario Bros Wonder. So my predictions for 2025 are seeing what Switch 2 is finally gonna look like, Getting some new Mario Stuff and Games for Mar10 Day and Mario's 40th Anniversary like the next 3D Mario, Mario Kart 9 or X, Luigi's Mansion 4, A new Wario Land Game, a new Donkey Kong, a new Yoshi game, a sequel or a new Mario Super Sluggers, and a new Paper Mario game. They can show us what the next 3D Kirby game the sequel for Kirby and the Forgotten Land of what it's going to be like and maybe we could see King Dedede, Meta Knight, and (for the first time ever for being Kirby's new Allies) Clawroline and Elfilin being playable characters to go along with Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee and giving us new copy abilities and upgrades, new mouthful modes, and new lands to explore. They can show us that fake leaked 2D Kirby Game Kirby and the Celestial Star and telling us who this Susie-related Kirby female character Polly about how she got here and meet Kirby and if she is Susie's sister or something. We can get new games like Donkey Kong, Wario, Yoshi, Star Fox, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, and Punch-Out but I don't know. And I know a HD remake of Kirby Planet Robobot is coming to Switch next year but I'm not gonna buy it unless they can add Kirby Triple Deluxe with Kirby Planet Robobot and make it a two-pack Collection so then we would have all the Modern Kirby Games in one console so that would make me happy if they do that next year. And I do hope we get to see a remake or a sequel for Tomodachi Life come to Nintendo Switch and adding the Miitopia Mii Maker in it so then we would have both Miitopia and Tomodachi Life on Switch now that would be cool for next year. But yeah I hope next year will be good for Nintendo since they will show the next console the Switch 2 and do something special for Mario's 40th Anniversary so I can't wait to see what they're gonna do for 2025 I can't wait.

To be fair "Star Fox Vengeance" actually works here. If nintendo decided to reimagin the entire series to smooth out the rough edges, the next game would be Star Fox 2 and in that game Andross shows that he's still alive and takes vengeance on Star Fox and Cornerian by actually planning to destroy it. Now I would only be fine with a reimagining of Star Fox 2 as long as we get a game that takes place after Star Fox Command and deal with that games 9 different ending bs. Announce a new game followed up a remake of 2. Just that alone would make me satisfied.

While these $70 prices you gave out makes sense from a business “fans will buy them anyways” mentality (Skyward sword HD on switch sold more than the Wii counterpart) but man that twilight princess/windwaker bundle being $70 will be way too jarring. Especially since Pikmin 1+2 released at $50.

Just a minute into the video, having had a feeling this is what it was gonna be, _here_ are my EXACT thoughts; i DID have this very problem too, believe me, it’s what had me worried early into the game, and it’s why once I was finished, I still look back and say ‘it had a slow start’…. …however that’s just that. It WAS my one problem. But then, somewhere down the line it, kinda just _stopped_ being so, like entirely. I can’t remember for certain exactly where, but I feel it definitely; _improved_ a bit in the second season, when IDLE started to get a bit more involved. However, I’d say (if I recall my best) it was about the point where ya meet Burnie and Chilly that this problem just felt all but alleviated. _That_ was where, for me, it fully started to feel like everything I was doing was all part of the one story. Having to go around back through a buncha different islands a lot more often, and _thats_ about when the fact everything’s separated stopped feeling like a design decision to make the levels easier to design, and more like an actual immersion choice, cus yeah, the whole point of the game is that everyone’s been separated and you’re connecting it back together. THAT was when this design choice clicked for me as well. This was when, as I said already, it felt like everything I was doing was all actually part of one story, especially as that’s where the world-shifting events began popping up everywhere, and every island started feeling important all at once. And yeah, I absolutely do think the games are different from the ones like it, up til now, but since this is just the first time being like this, well, _and_ the fact it’s just done well imo, means it doesn’t feel like a break to the formula (or at least _didn’t_ after this point I been on about), rather just an interesting new direction to it, even if I feel the actual narrative and world justify it and shouldn’t be dug too deep into for next games. So yeah, I’d instead just say, the game itself simply started slow, but this was no longer even an issue for me after a while. Just felt more immersively beneficial, what with the themes of the game as a i mentioned. 5:12 I guess i just simply disagree, can’t really put it any other way, I think it’s best off this way, and everything i said is my explanation ig (and since it’s _supposed_ to not feel connected, feel like i shouldn’t need to say that, so idk what to say for that) Having watched the whole thing, I realise that this element in itself is something you see as an immersion _issue_ , so I suppose I hope just through explaining my thoughts, that might at least give a different perspective on this stuff and how I saw it differently, and might make ya see it a little better, be it in retrospect or just the next time ya play it. (tho tbh Im personally kinda tempted to just _not_ ever play it again after that ending… I probably will, but it’s tempting) I woulda wrote something about ‘if ya haven’t finished yet then…’, but i realise since its been days ya probably have finished, but- -Edit; ya said ya haven’t even made it past the third sea, so maybe there’s a chance ya still haven’t finished yet, in which case I still say all this, but still hope everything I’ve said -_-up to-_- this point might offer an alternate perspective in retrospect to how you’ve thought up to this point- -I woulda just said about the side quests- _do_ ‘em all (dw about the glohm bosses tho) before the ending, each make the last scene just a touch more impactful each. And ofc, woulda said, hey, the final act of this thing? VERY possibly, THE BEST mario and luigi section ever, not only feels like it actually needed >3ds hardware to happen, _or_ only strings as much of everything before together to make it feel special, but also does something amongst the most interesting things the series ever did narrative wise. So be prepared yourself. I know we throw the word around kinda loosely for this game as a whole just to say we like it, just outta gratefulness it’s back, but it truly is how I feel in this instance- it _is_ *peak* M&L. You wanted raw opinions, well, glad I gottem out, and hoped it helped. The video is great btw, and definitely forwards your explanations for why ya feel this way very well, even if I disagree (or rather, thought you were right up to a point in the game, but I insist now it fixed itself). Lots of games have slow starts, not just RPG's, and I was surprised Mario & Luigi avoided this. So this initially felt like second nature to me. While this would defeat the purpose of connecting the islands of Concordia back together, it would cut down on run time if we could in theory visit islands only once and only revisit them if it makes sense to. That way we end up with more memorable moments in a series dedicated to those.

I can see what you're talking about even though it didn't bother me. My biggest issue with this game was that there wasnt enough boss fights for how long this game was. This could have been fixed by figting both of the other 2 members of the extension corps individually in between lighthouse 2 and 3, and they could have added a Bowser jr. Bossfight and a Kamek bossfight between lighthouse 3 and 4. That would have been 4 additional bossfights.
