It's very strange but I assume it's a historical landmark and it's for upkeep and maintenance more than anything else... at least I'd like to hope so.

Hi thanks so much for watching, so we definitely had Niki's on our radar, another Detroit area subscriber told us to go there so we definitely have to try that next time. We also tried bobcat Bonnie's which was pretty good brunch but I get you, the 1st time we went to Detroit we were started getting warned by people to be very careful so it was surprising to see how great the city looked. I think alot of ppl who haven't been there in a while think it's the same Detroit from 30 years ago maybe? I'm not sure tbh

@@jerrivlogs after the emergence of the city post-bankruptcy the downtown and midtown areas changed quite a bit. Mostly for the better, particularly with crime and so on. Not that it was ever terrible in the casino areas, but safer than it was (although Greektown at night saw a handful of gun incidents not too far back). The police have a lot of mobile units that allow them to watch the streets and between that and cameras make it much harder to get away with stupidity down there. As for other spots to eat, this place is a foodie HQ! From crazy good sliders at Green Dot, ridiculous sammies at Roccos, the history of places like Cass Cafe, insanely good gyros at Athens, and of course all the Detroit Coney spots you could ever wish for. lol If you need more suggestions get at me!

We actually got the pass for the Ford museum in Dearborn so we will be heading back to check that out again along with their Greenfield village and we'll try some of those food spots you suggested. Hi I appreciate the clarification there. I would've continued saying it wrong if u didn't mention that. We will be returning and we will consider your suggestions. We were also considering Mt Rainier national park to visit as well. The water bodies always confuse us and we call em all puget sound but this clears it up thank you. 😊

Hey Rich 👋🏼 yeah the property basically uses the family friendly aspect to rope in potential customers. If it wasn't for the waterpark and kid friendly amenities I honestly don't believe they would get as much customers. I also don't think they get much repeat customers as most ppl will prob choose somewhere else next time especially with the way they nickel and dime you. Definitely 2 stars.

Sorry, wrote this comment while watching and saw that it was 3.5 hours all said and done. Sucks the sales agent was very rude by the end.

Hey, yeah it was abt 3 to 4 hours total. Could be longer too. They give you 150 cash and pay for your taxi to and from your hotel if you sit through it.

Yeah no worries, she became standoffish at the end because we didn't purchase.

Hey 👋🏼 thanks for watching, no seat reservation necessary on the GO train you can sit anywhere. Only thing is that if you sit upstairs it's usually a quiet zone but that's the only restriction.
