- Today we stroll along the Alki beach trail here in Seattle. The city of Seattle is located in Washington state and is one of the states two biggest cities along with Spokane. The population of Seattle is over 700K and is home to Starbucks, Amazon and Google.

Alki Beach Park
Alki Beach Park is a 135.9-acre park located in the West Seattle neighborhood of Seattle, Washington that consists of the Elliott Bay beach between Alki Point and Duwamish Head. It has a 0.5 miles of beachfront, and was the first public salt-water bathing beach on the west coast of the United States.

Nice video, FYI Spokane is can at the end not cane. Don't worry we locals are pretty nice about it. I had a coworker from Texas mispronounce Puyallup (she made it sound like a kid diaper), none of her friends corrected her so I did. (It's Pew-all-up). Most of the names are Native Americans. We like to test people on them. I have watched quite a few of your vids and try not smile when you mention all the gloom. Yeah um that's what the PNW is known for. The waterfront next to Seattle is Elliot Bay that goes out to the Puget Sound (which goes south all the way down to Olympia) then goes out to the Strait of Juan de Fuca (Salish Sea) then the Pacific Ocean. FYI Try the Hall of Mosses in the rainforest as WA state has the only rainforest in the lower 48. It's in the Olympic National Park where you can go from mountains to rainforest to the beach all in one park. We even have The Big Cedar Tree at 178 feet tall and 19.4 diameter - World's Largest and nearly 1000 years old. Also another famous tree is the Tree of Life, a Sitka spruce, the largest spruce made famous as it clings to the sides of the cliffs like arms as it has no bottom it's about 100 to 150 years old but can live to be 800. Hi I appreciate the clarification there. I would've continued saying it wrong if u didn't mention that. We will be returning and we will consider your suggestions. We were also considering Mt Rainier national park to visit as well. The water bodies always confuse us and we call em all puget sound but this clears it up thank you. 😊
