Wildlife at home
США
Добавлен 4 июл 2018
Wildlife and pet videos from a small 6 acre property in Oregon. Our main visitors are blacktail deer which over time came to trust the two legged creature with a camera. We also have many birds, squirrels, coyotes, bobcats and other animals. I have a fairly unique opportunity to see the fawns every year and wish to share that experience with anyone who wishes to watch and join the growing community of other wonderful people, many of whom have excellent channels of their own.
I also have an Instagram at dnoland987 with many photos of the wildlife and nature around my house.
Thank you to all who view my videos, and a big thank you to subscribers.

Stung by a Bee?
I've seen these lumps before and was quite concerned the first time or two. Usually they are closer to the mouth which led me to believe they were bee stings. As serious as this one looks, I'm glad to say I haven't noticed any trouble eating or breathing. Life in the wild isn't always pretty.

Eat, Play, Chase

It's never boring when the deer come for a visit. They chase and kick at each other between snacking and playing as they find their positions within the growing herd.
Our Small Herd

This is our small herd. Flo, Tricky, Goldie and her fawn are having a morning snack. This has been an almost daily routine since the fawn has been old enough to hang around with the herd, a beautiful way to start any day.

Crunchy Peanuts
Просмотров 6621 день назад
The deer enjoy a few peanuts for breakfast, but not entirely peaceful as each one tries to assert their dominance. The blacktail fawns playfully get some exercise while avoiding the occasional hoof or two from the other deer.

Goldie and Her Fawn

Goldie and her fawn visit our yard, sometimes for hours. It really is quite something to have these beautiful animals around, watching them grow and seeing how they interact with the others who are out and about.
Under the Bush

awww poor baby
Oh no!!!!! 🥲🥲🥲🥲 Life outside can be such a suckfest!!!
Heureusement, tout va bien pour le petit faon ❤ ! 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
Ouch !!!
Poor little one. Reminds me of when i had to put my Doberman down. I waited a year before getting another Doberman and the first day she was in my house at 8 weeks old i let her out in the back yard and she was stung in the mouth by a huge bumble bee. What a horrible welcome. Not having a dog and opening the back door made it easy for a swarm of bumble bees to move in underneath the cement slab. I flooded the hole with soap water and killed more than 100 of them and then filled in the hole. I hope the fawn will be okay😢
Poor puppy! She was probably wondering what kind of place she was moved into! I think as long as the fawn can still eat and breath ok it will be fine. The stings usually last about two weeks and this one is about a week old and probably itches like mad more than anything.
@@wildlifeathome I'm glad to hear she will be okay. Thank God it didn't sting the insude of her wind pipe. Nature can be cruel sometimes.
Hope he gets better🦌
He should, the other stings I've seen have gone away in about 2 weeks and this one is about a week old now.
Poor baby, glad to hear things seem OK ❤🦌❤
I was very worried until I saw the fawn eating without any difficulty. It's been about a week since I first noticed and I believe it looks much worse than it is. I had a bee sting me in the forehead a couple years ago, my whole face swelled up and I couldn't even see! Normally I don't have much of a reaction at all, now I have an EpiPen just in case.
@@wildlifeathome that was an awful reaction you had, glad to hear you have the EpiPen...literally a lifesaver. Have a lovely day Derek 😁🦌🦌🦌🦌🌞❤️
YAY !!!
😀❤🎬🎥❤🦌
😁❤️🦌💐
😂 you would think they did know but I think they are looking for you Derek 🤭 ❤🦌🦌🦌🦌❤
They probably thought I must be around somewhere, usually I'm attached to the camera.🤣
💕💕💕🦌🦌 Love how the fawn hops away! So cute!❤❤♥♥🦌🦌💕💕
They sure are springy on those toothpick legs!😂
The fawn isn't to sure about Derek yet, time wll change that..! ❤🦌
What is interesting is that the mother of this fawn is most comfortable around me and the fawn who is most comfortable with me belongs to Betty, the doe who is least comfortable around me. I'm not sure how that happened.😂❤️
Belle lumière du soleil ☀️ à travers les arbres ! 🌳!La nature 🌿 est resplendissante ! Jolie réunion de famille! Je petit faon est trop mignon!❤ 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿
Thank you, Ambre! Have a great weekend!😊
Didn't take the little ones long to figure out the eatting game. Now a glass of milk 🥛 to wash it down😂😂😂😂
@@critterallywithjohnernest. It won't be long and the milk tap will run dry causing their spots to fall off!😂🤣
@@wildlifeathome That's what happened to me😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣
Do you see many Buck?
@@ryanthompsonthompson820 I haven't seen any for a few months, which isn't that unusual. Hopefully when mating season starts I'll see some. A few years ago we had a few that would come around once in awhile. @soarornor, who only lives about 40 miles away with the same species of deer has a couple nice bucks in velvet come visit him. He has a few great videos of them along with the doe and a couple fawns who come to visit him. I'm hoping to see one or two soon so that our doe will bring us more fawns next year.
Bon Appetit !!!!
@@adrianfrick795 Crunch, crunch, crunch!🤣
🤭 a little nose pushing going on ❤🦌🦌🦌🦌❤️
@@paulag4536 I think they do that to build their bonds and to swipe food from under the others.🤣
Such a beautiful deer 🦌 family
@@SerenadaWildlife Their mother was the first deer I managed to gain the trust of over about 14 years, unfortunately she passed away two years ago. She taught her fawns that I wasn't anything to be afraid of so now we are lucky enough to have her offspring bring out their fawns and continue in her footsteps.
Hello friend. My wife Goldie recommended this channel, and I subscribed🦌
@@ryanthompsonthompson820 I appreciate it Ryan, thank you. I hope you both have a wonderful week!😊
So awesome
So precious ❤❤🦌🦌😊
Thanks Goldie, I could sit and watch them all day. I hope you're having a good weekend! 😊💖
There is so much joy watching children in a playground, how they interact and have fun being kids. These amazing four-legged "kids" are an endless source of joy as well. Love the spirit they show, the funny interactions, and their obvious happiness in living their Deer Life. Your filming is so special, capturing these precious & priceless moments that bring us a beautiful insight into their amazing world. I kinda wish I was a deer too....😊🦌🦌🦌 I look forward to catching up on their adventures after returning from the Nevada desert. Be well my dear Brother. ❤
This has been quite a summer with the deer, I've seen more interaction between fawns and their mothers than I have in a long time. Just seeing fawns together from different mothers is fairly new, watching them playing is quite a treat! Too bad they grow so fast, soon their spots will be gone and they'll be even harder to identify, somehow I need to get them all different colored collars! See ya when you return from Nevada, I hope you have some fun in the desert.😊❤️🦌
❤❤❤❤
🦌🌞♥️😊
🌝🌾🌾 Golden morning indeed! Both are looking superb.
Not bad for a first time mother! Two of the other fawns have bee stings near their mouths, a bit swollen for now. Almost every year I see at least one fawn who learnt the hard way not to eat occupied flowers. The first time I saw a lump on ones mouth I was quite concerned, but it went away quickly and didn't seem to really bother the poor thing.
That is so sweet. Almost sitting in your lap!😂😂😂❤❤❤❤ I hope you are doing well and enjoying summer Derick. I'm loving it and hope winter just bypasses me this year😂😂😂😂😂. Take care buddy.
It almost wouldn't surprise me if one lay next to me, that would be something! Maybe someday.😁❤️ I'm doing ok, between trying to get yard work done and taking us all to doctor appointments. The deer help keep me from the yard work.🤣
@@wildlifeathome In happy to hear everyone is doing okay. I hear you on Dr. Appointments go. I'm definitely tired of surgeries gone wrong. 2 failed and are worse than before i seen him the first time. Then he did a scope of my wrists last week and that alone was $20,000 to look inside my wrist to tell me i have tendons broken and frayed and no longer connected. I don't think i will even try to fix it as each time it gets worse than before. I'm totally convinced he has no clue of what to do and he was referred to me as one of the best🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 what a joke. Well i hope to see that fawn sleeping next to you soon🥰🥰 take care Derek. 🙂
@@critterallywithjohnernest. Unfortunately I think my neck needs to be fused like my low back, it's starting to affect my hands more and more. I wish there was a way to know before a surgery whether or not it would actually help and just how good the doctor is. Unfortunately there are doctors who are only in it for the money, but even the best can't always get it right. In a way, I'm lucky not to be working as my state insurance has paid for almost everything in the last few years, my 8 hour surgery must have cost a fortune. I sure hope that something can be done to help your hands, living with the pain isn't anything close to fun.
@@wildlifeathome before i had the surgery my hand only hurt while pulling and pinching moments. Now it hurts 24/7 doing absolutely nothing at all. If only we could hit a reset button i would. Is your back better or worse after fusing the bones? He said that fusing bones in my hand wiuld be the 3rd operation but he said it isn't guaranteed to work and will definitely lose lots of mobility. I've already lost more than 50% so i can't imagine losing another 25%.😡 I hope your surgery goes well if you decide to do it. It sucks going under the knife to wake up worse than before.😵💫😵💫😵💫
@@critterallywithjohnernest. Before they fused my back it clunked painfully, now it just hurts without the clunking. I'm really not wanting my neck cut up, but it's sending more and more pain down both arms now. I see my neurologist today so we'll see what he has to say.
The little one isn't real comfortable with Derek I seems..! ❤🦌

@wildlifeathome That's so kind Derek! I've never been to Oregon. It must be so wonderful seeing them live in your yard. They are just beautiful deer. Thank you so much!! 🦌❤️😊
@@goldiethompson6569 Its certainly a wonderful experience to see them as often as we do. Before I befriended Nicky, the first one, we were excited when we saw one through our windows. I never would have thought I'd be able to visit with them like I can. When we first moved here we were actually scaring them away because we had a garden in the yard, now the enjoyment of having them around more than makes up for not being able to grow anything out where they can get to it. We grow a few things in the greenhouse and always need to be sure the door is closed as they will even go inside to eat what they can!
@@wildlifeathome That's so great Derek, thanks for sharing! How beautiful to see deer so close 🦌😊

🤣 I've actually been thinking of giving the stump a makeover, they've been eating off of it for well over a decade now. In the past it was usually just one doe we called Nicky and her fawns. Now her fawns are bringing theirs, and sometimes there just isn't quite enough room for them all!
