My first sighting of a new fawn in our yard and some photos my father took. Not the best video as I just woke up and wasn't quite prepared. Better videos will be coming soon!!!
They are my favorite things to see when they finally come out. Once the little fawns nerves calm down it's mother will hopefully bring it to the stump for a closer look!

Thank you Goldie! I'm not completely sure since I couldn't get too close, but I think it is Goldie with the fawn! It is definitely one of our little herd.😁 I wonder how confused people get when they read "Goldie is pregnant!" or "Goldie has had her baby!" and then they see you replying. I didn't really think that thru when we decided on her name!🤣😂
Thank you, I'm still amazed everytime they show trust in me. Many years of patience with the mother of this new mother has paid off more than I ever could have imagined.
I was very surprised to see it was one of our small herd with a fawn, I was expecting to see one of the older doe who would have left as soon as she saw me but this one stayed and even moved closer before the little ones nerves got the better of it and they both left. Hopefully I'll be more prepared next time I see them and get better video. My guess is that you will see some by the end of the month!
@@wildlifeathome I hope so. That’s how Little One was when she first came around. She was very shy and didn’t even like apples. She really changed over time. She and Mother are the only deer that will eat apples right from my hand. I sure miss those two. I’m sure you’ll be getting some really nice video this summer. It’s going to be great.
