I love it when the fawns hop and jump around. They’re so funny. My four are starting to have more contact with each other but I’ve been surprised to see bullying as the first thing. Chasing more to intimidate than play. I’m hoping to see this change and to see everyone relaxing and getting on together. Everyday there’s something new and a broadening of understanding deer social life. Your herd is looking quite beautiful. 🌿🌝🦌
This has been a bit different and new for me. Nicky never let other doe and their fawns hang around. I always thought the fawns would play more than chase each other, but I guess that is their way. Sometimes they seem to tolerate each other more if their mothers aren't going at each other, but they still don't play. Funny thing is, the smallest fawn seems to be the aggressor, possibly a little boy!
@@wildlifeathome It is an oddity how deer socialize. They seem to want to hang out in a group and even the most rejected doe comes back for more and follows the group. I just got some curious video a couple of days ago when everyone was visiting including the fawns. Little One’s fawn was very curious about Mother’s twins and came closer to them at the table. They even ate together. Then Little One came in to check things out and then Mother and it got broken up. The oddest part was Mother striking her own fawn as if to say: “Don’t have anything to do with them.” I was kind of shocked. We’ll see how this unfolds. I would think all these deer would want to have a larger herd for protection but I’m really not sure how much of this herd will remain intact. I hope that eventually they will become nicer to each other. The fawns are a real work of wonder. I’m really curious on how all this will go. 🌛🐇🦋
Hi Derek, what a beautiful sight you have in your yard. Tricky is a little cranky but the fawns make up for her unhappiness by running around like little energizer bunnies 😅😅😅😅. Non-stop playing😂😂. You have a goldmine waking up to see such a beautiful sight everyday. It didn't come free or cheap as you have been earning their trust for years now but it sure did pay off. Kind of special to see the mom's trust you enough to bring their babies right up to you on day one. Thanks for sharing it with us and i hope that all is well with you and the family. Take care my friend 😊
This has been quite a fun, and in many ways a new experience having two mothers with their fawns around. Nicky would never have allowed another doe to hang around for very long. I had some doubts as to whether or not I would be seeing much of the deer when Nicky passed, I never expected anything like this. The fawns are even here laying around for most of the day instead of hiding in the brush nearby. I had one pop out from behind the chairs startling me twice within an hour only for it to return to that spot. Now I try to make sure if it's there before I spook it again or it spooks me!🤣 We are doing fairly well, I appreciate it and knowing I've made a good friend through these deer is something I'll never forget.😊❤🦌
@@wildlifeathome what a wonderful story and a unique experience to have in your yard. You are right, Nicky ruled the land and she never would have allowed two families around. I'm glad to hear you are doing well. Probably could always be better but holding your own. I just had a scoping of my left wrist on Tuesday to see what is going on. He did surgery twice and may as well have done a third as it feels just the same as if if did. I see him in 2 days to see if they will be doing a third surgery. Tired of things now working out like it should. Take care my good friend and say hi to your family for me.🙏🙏👍👍🤗
What a beautiful scene. Thank you for sharing.
Heaven on Earth. ❤😊
Thank you, Susan. I love hearing that they are enjoyed by others.😊❤
😊❤❤
Thank you. 😊
Çà croustille, çà croustille chez les biches 🥜😀 ! Elles adorent les peanuts !
Les petits faons m'amusent beaucoup! Ils sont trop mignons ❤ ! 🥜🦌🥜🦌🥜🦌
It's never boring when the fawns are around! I hope you're having a great weekend Ambre.😊
G'day Derek & All ! He's got his Hurd now.. & a Pecking order to deal with.. Sweet !!! Cheer's !!!
I'm glad they don't involve me in their pecking order! Although one kicked my foot once on the way past while chasing off another doe!🤣
@@wildlifeathome Ouch ! But I Bet.. Worth it !
@@adrianfrick795 The memory of it makes me laugh every time I think about it, it's not everyday a deer accidentally contacts people!😂🤣
Aww baby fawn chasing the other little one away.....I imagined they would play together 🤭
❤🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌❤️
I would think the same thing, they'll have plenty of time for chasing each other once they've grown up a little.😂

Seems as though the mom don't want the little one around her baby..! ❤🦌
The other fawn seems to get along with everyone for some reason, maybe the fawns are different sexes.🤔♥️😂
Aww, can't we just get along..? ❤
They're never happy with much sharing even when there are piles of food scattered around. It adds some action though.😂♥️
