Fair point. The does do get harassed relentlessly during the rut but I never find them unable to recover. The bucks on the other hand do die from losing so much weight. No question rut is tough on them all.

To the guy who sat with the deer,yes you are one f maybe a few caring people,the animal activist are not stupid however,there Is absolutety to much torture among all animals ,I've watched videos where they shoot the animal doesn't matter what kind of anima it is and they let it run till it falls ,now that can mean days ,hunting is one shot kill,not five times at times ,laughing and waiting round,no suffering ,no abuse ,no cruelty,I hope she got up from her ordeal ,she didn't seem like to wanted to
