I have loved Enter Shikari since I first heard “Sorry You’re Not A Winner” in 2006, and I fell back in love hearing this song… there was something that felt so powerful & special when I first heard this song… it felt epic & grand… and I went from joking about how, as someone who’s final wishes include cremation, taking the song & its title literally, it would definitely align with my dark sense of humor having this song played for my final viewing/memorial, but the more I listened & resonated with its beauty, I went from joking to actually adding it to my final requests, hoping that while it may give my loved ones an initial chuckle, eventually, they’ll come to understand it as a song about a glorious moment of transformation & “moving on” that I hope will bring them comfort❤

Always been a big fan of lyrics and this song has no shortage of great writing. This song is self aware, offering a message of humility from the artists. We often put people on pedestals to admire their work, this song reminds me that some of those people are just humble artists.

Royston Langdon is brilliant. He's still making music and still singing. There's some more recent work of his just with acoustic guitar and piano. Lovely stuff. One of those bands that had everything going for them... but the music industry and trends are fickle and they never really got the credit they deserved. The Resident Alien album from 1995 still easily stands the test of time. Great to see someone still looking at the vocals all these years later! Oh liked and subbed also! :P

Your reaction was very similar to mine. When I discovered The Warning, I saw those videos in exactly the same order. I had that same sense of pride compressed into a few minutes and had to wipe away some tears. They are the REAL deal. Please check out the entire concert at The Pepsi Center CDMX in 2022, its jaw dropping good.

I absolutely adore the fact that they sing the higher harmony version of the last part “my redemption, eternal ascension” when they do it live, it feels so much more ascending, literally, I’m surprised she didn’t mention that harmony at all, it adds so much to it

this song is super cool because it shows journey of many of us, we try to get back what we lost, either its love, or being happy or innocent. We try to do this with reason, trying everything to reach this level of enjoy as we had once before, like sine wave sometimes we are on top and sometimes we are at the bottom, but at least I feel I cannot e.g reach same level of happiness. At one point there comes frustration and trying to force break in into these state, somehow, no matter how. Feel sorry for all that have been there, including me

I’ve seen Richie live a couple of times both with Adrian Smith and also The Winery Dogs. He’s a fantastic singer/songwriter and guitarist. One of my favourites

This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. It gives me chills every time I hear it. I heard the live version first. The studio version doesn't even compare. It's not even worth listening to compared to this. Music definitely has some type of healing quality

Your analysis suffers without the lyrics up as you go in my opinion. For what its worth as a musician and almost 20 year bedroom producer the best parts of these videos were you tying the lyrics and music together like the refraction/reflection but in TMBTE.
