Dont forget a 5 dollar can of black spray paint for a go fast stripe on the bonnet on the boot and down both sides........10 km speed improvement from bonnet 5km from boot and 15 km from side stripes

I’ve got unsprung clutch and single mass flywheel and it feels better. I feel it is better when I’m starting. But that’s just my preference. I don’t give my car extra gas and ride the clutch longer like most say is required. I feel it is smoother engagement… no bad noise at idle but is noise when under load at lower rpm’s so I just avoid doing that. But it’s on my 370z so maybe different cars may make more noise. I learned to drive manual without riding the clutch at all, like I know some people blip the throttle a bunch and are on the engagement point for a while.

so I know Turner Motorsports makes a lightweight weight flywheel, but they also get the option of pairing it with a 550i clutch. Would that be a bad set up since those clutch plates don’t have springs in them like the aftermarket ones?

And coil overs with spring size?

On my 330ci, I've completed all these upgrades except for the Supercharger. In addition to these great suggestions...I would also recommend replacing the 2-piece intake boot with a 1-piece silicone one. The OEM boot always cracks and breaks causing vacuum leaks. It is also ribbed and restricts air flow slightly. The silicone ones are completely smooth and offer longer life. Also replace the factory water pump with one that has an aluminum impeller instead of the factory plastic type.

Excellent video! N51 (2 disa valves). 11mpg (city) & misfire on #5. I don't feel like it's down on power at all, it's quick and idles fine. I've checked plugs, cleaned & moved injectors, ect. I'm thinking it's an issue with a valve or disa.

Can i put procharger on a stock engine of e46?

My experience is if you don't get an engine tune to take advantage of the new intake you lose quite a bit of low end.

informative video but your rotors were on backwards, the slots are supposed to cut into the wind. apparently not a huge deal.

Torque for the top nut is 30Nm according to Autodoc.

Listen to this guy! I have an '01 E46 M3 (6 speed) that is purely stock and v well maintained. It's worth far more than all those clapped out modded M3's that are so commonly seen. Drives far better as well. Start with a unmolested example. Spend your time and money bringing it up to as new original mechanical condition. Unless you're going to track it, you'll thereby end up in the sweet spot. If you want a track car, buy one that's already been tracked (these make terrible daily drivers). Also, use OE or OEM parts (not that Uro, etc Chinese crap). Trust me - cheap coilovers, loud exhaust, "cold air intake" (sic), crap stereos, etc will ruin one of the best M cars ever made. And, will greatly decrease your resale value going forward.

heavier flywheel does nto consume power. It only slows RPM change of the crankshaft.

Do those type of mounts forfeit the option to install rear strut bars/ brace ?

BMW's sixes have very little to no vibration from the crank. As I see it, they don't need dual mass flywheels.

Great video and explanation, i was getting poor economy so i decided to upgrade it with a kit from ebay. It was tricky getting it done but did it. The only sound i can hear from it is what i can describe as a slight sucking noise..is that normal? I accidentally installed it without the small cover on and decided to leave it off to see if it was working, all good i think.
