Inspire by you, I am changing out my 320 for a 325, will be doing a total cooling system / filter refresh, and be fitting a Stewart water pump. ..Engine and gearbox mounts, CCV and all vacuum lines will also be replaced, and quite a few other preventive maintence bits and pieces, my Bimmer will be on the stands for a little longer but will be dependable and well maintained when I finish. Thank you for your well produced and thoughtful video's. (TTFN)?

Thank you for content. I'm a big e46 fan, getting my driving licence back just to build a project. I didn't hear nothing new for me, but it's good to approve my knowledge. Seen you got lots of useful videos, so that's subscription from me! From russian, with love 😊

Great tips! Should have got more info before buying my 328. Just was so impatient for having no own car anymore. Indeed a great car when it drives, but repairs will be certain. If you can work on your car yourself, it will save you so much 💰 I usually bring the car to a bmw shop when something mechanical needs fixing. Only small things I 'll try doing myself
Owned the car for 6 years and 60k km now.
    Things that failed:
    - locking brake calipers 1x at the back, later 1x at the front
    - exploded expension tank from coolant system (common)
    - crack in intake hose (common)
    - leak oil housing filter gasket (common)
    - leak head cover gasket (common)
    - thermostat 2x
    - cracked/broken exhaustheader
    - leak power steering hose
    - abs pump
    - all window regulators (common)
    Replaced all the above and:
    - all brake calipers, brakediscs, brake pads and wheelbearings
    - whole ccv system (common) when changing oil filter housing gasket.
    - replaced battery for AGM battery
    Surely I forgot some things.
    Other common problems:
    - cracks at the back subframe mountings
    - rust at wheel arches
    - Hardy disc
As my previous cars were Asian and had more standard options, the bigger the engine. Didn't know BMW was such an option scammer. Thought folding rear seats were standard🤦‍♂️ Take a good look at all the options installed.

The first 2 thing I found bad on my use 330 both aft Springs were broken. And also had to replace my intake boots because it give a code for air leaks. Good times!!

I just bought a 2002 330xi with 160,000 miles. Bought it from a bmw tech who’s last customer sold it to him. He replaced the whole cooling system, spark plugs, coil packs, and some other maintenance work. Since I’ve drove it over the month usually only on weekends, it’s drove great. Smooth as butter and feels better than my old 2012 car.
