I do not! Short answer - money. I only shoot flash when someone wants to pay for it, usually for luxury properties. When I shoot flash, it’s for minimum $600 per property. Regular HDR? Like $250. Most realtors go for HDR

It's definitely simple, but not necessarily easy! There aren't a ton of complicated steps to follow, it just takes a lot of work to follow through. Why don't you start your own real estate photography business?

Haha, I will admit this got a good chuckle from me. I’m guessing you’re a regular photographer, who then either got into real estate or is wanting to. For real estate photography specifically, after a couple hundred houses, then to a couple thousand, the process becomes identical. After about 20 houses, I’d say, you’ll start to lock down the process and realize that it truly is as simple as setting the camera down and taking a photo. While photos are important, yes, where you’ll make the bulk of your money is in your add ons like video, drone, virtual tours, floor plans, etc. I know you were simply trying to be mean and post a witty comment, but I can tell you don’t have the experience that comes with years upon years of doing this; so I thought I’d outline something helpful. And on the flip side, if you want to take an hour doing just photos for $200, more power to you. But when I have 7 services to get through, it becomes overarchingly about the overall average quality of the sum of services, rather than every single service being incredible. You can totally compete. Oversaturation is kind of a lie - the fact that there are so many means there’s plenty of opportunity. You can absolutely rise to the top of the rankings, you just have to focus on providing better service. I.e. better customer experience, more flexible, more outgoing, more convenient bundles, better videos, you get the idea. Absolutely go for it

Sure thing! Welcome to the club! Eli’s fine - he charges a lot. Get ready for them to quote you between $10k-$16k for coaching. That’s not to say it’s that outrageous of a sum, considering how much money you can make doing this, but I think it’s probably a little more than 2x what it’s really worth doing, since you have to do all the work anyways. I charge a whole lot less for my coaching, and it achieves the same thing. The main thing I disagree with Eli about is that he typically goes high volume, low dollar, which sure, can lead to a profitable business, but it doesn’t leave time for anything else. I teach how to work less and make more. Did I mention I charge a whole lot less? Hahah. Long story short, you’ll be paying a premium because of how big Eli’s coaching business has gotten. You’re paying more for access to different people, paying for his admin costs, overhead, etc. You won’t ever talk to Eli. You’re really just going to be using his third party consultants that *he’s* trained to coach you, most of whom have never run a real estate photography business. I’m sure it’s fine, lots of people find success with the program, but idk, little too much for what goes into it. Let me know how the call goes!

Hey there - unfortunately, real estate photography, and starting a business in general, isn’t something that you can do on a really bootstrapped budget. Everything takes money to do. Getting your part 107 drone license is like $150 *per attempt* at taking the test, getting your LLC is gonna be another $250, getting a camera setup will be, at the very least, $1000, and that doesn’t include buying a drone, a sturdy tripod - etc. I know this isn’t what you probably want to hear, but if you want to take your REP business seriously, you might have to work another real job to save up cash in order to invest in your business. Closest you can get is the laowa 9mm zero d, which nets 13.5mm on a Sony camera. Honestly it’s been awhile since I’ve used anything at a 12. 16mm is fine

@@reallyjordanhorn it has beena game changer for me. I've been running Air 2s for about 5 years, or whenever it was released. Portability was my main reason for switching to it from the P4P. It worked great, although it really struggled in twilight and other low light scenarios. The Air 3s does a much better job and delivers a higher image quality (although I will add, I never had an agent complain about the 2s quality).

It’s always the one behind the camera! UNTIL you KNOW you’re at the limit of what you can achieve with your current setup. But here’s me always buying more stuff anyways!
