This is priceless info! Do you need to get good at all these things in order to start the business or can you focus on a few things at a time and then add more services as time goes by? For example, I’d like to offer stills, floor plans and 360 virtual tours upon opening and then add videography (drone, video tours). Also, you don’t really need to incorporate. You can list all your business related expanses on your schedule C as a proprietor. Is there a benefit to incorporating?
I’d recommend getting good at all of them, as you don’t want to turn away any interested parties, but you don’t necessarily have to. And that’s a very big question - yes, there are many benefits to incorporating, but you’ll have to start doing research on that on your own, or talk to a CPA to see if it’s right for your situation. There are perks and benefits, and cons and drawbacks to every different option. Thanks for watching!
The most complete video. question, I'm starting from scratch and I don't have a portfolio yet, so I haven't created the website yet. about Instagram, do you think it's better to create an account with my name and my photo or create one with the company name and logo? regarding the presentation to future clients Thank you
@@wayneious no kidding! I actually was going to get an 80d and a 10-18mm but I got a crazy deal on my Sony a6500 so I just bought it. Going forward I might buy an 80d to see how I like canon
@@TheDamonMartin the setup for HDR was a bit of a PITA as the menus are older and the overall tech is older too and I wanted to move up to a full frame asap. But I keep it still as my backup and it’s still a great camera but that 6500? Personally, I feel it’s leaps and bounds better
This was laid out really well... I definitely need to get away from dropbox delivery for a more professional appearance--also, it always looks bad when the non-tech clients can't open the files because they either need updates or simply lack the intuitive ability. Great video. Question for you. I've been asked to come back at night to do a couple night shots of this backyard patio and pergola which is decorated nicely with lights. Would you recommend I just shoot those during the day and use fotober dawn to dusk option? If not and I go back I'm assuming I would take these at dusk. Not nighttime correct? With all the interior lights on in the house and lights on outside. Then would you recommend me just sending them into fotober for regular image enhancement? Also would I be better off using my canon 11-22 for my m50 or the Rokinon 12mm f2.0. I'm a rookie at these nighttime pics. Any advice would be helpful
Hey! I’d take them at twilight. That comes into the service category of twilight photography and I usually end up using the pics that I take last. So if twilight is 7:45-8:45, I’ll end up using the pics closer to 8:45 so they’re nice and dark. Borderline night, but still some light
@reallyjordanhorn also, either lens is fine since it’s exteriors and you’re still just going to be shooting at f8. You’ll just have to make your shutter speed super low haha.
Oh man, totally depends on the property, but I usually just retake all the same exterior shots and deliver them all. I charge minimum $250 for twilight photos, another $205 for twilight aerials, and another $399 for twilight video and $275 for twilight aerial video
Nooooo!!!! Don’t buy it. Buy a better camera used on FB market place. Buy a used full frame, you will thank me later. Try a canon R50 is the cheapest you should get, try to find it used.
Anyone watching this that is starting and using a Canon the crop is right about 1.6x when doing the math. Personally after going into this with a Canon...I think the better option would have been Sony VS. Canon but Canon was my budget to start.
Thanks for taking the time break this down for us!!

nice stuff
Thank you sir!

i dont get the wordpress and stuff youre talking about. Why do i need 2 web builders?
I should have clarified. Wordpress is to house the website structure, elementor is to design and build the site with no code

Welcome! I recommend having an Instagram with the name as your area + real estate photography, and a picture of you as the profile pic!
Only 38 likes on this video? This is a great outline for anyone to get their heads wrapped around the whole business.
🫡 thank you sir. I fly under the radar
I’m shopping for delivery sites now. What do you like about photo hub and what is it about Spiro you don’t like?
I guess it mainly comes down to personal preference lol
Dont forget and tamron 11-20mm. Its a amazing lens
I suppose! I never had hands on with it. Is it f2.8?
@@reallyjordanhorn 2.8!
@@TheDamonMartin I used a Canon 80d with the Tamron 10-24…worked perfectly.

And you just take 3 bracketed shots and order them as image enhancement in fotober correct?
I want to buy a Canon rebel T5. I know this is an older camera, this is a 2014. I’m thinking what matters is the type of lens for interior shots.
Please understand this is a starter camera. Thinking bigger later.
You should be able to get by with that, albeit for a short time. I’d recommend something like a canon 80D over the T5 though
Thank you for the reply. Is there an ideal lens to go with this? I need just one for starting.
Something like the Sigma 10-20, Canon 10-18, something like that. Canon has a crop factor of about 1.6x so 10 becomes 16, 11 becomes 17.5, etc

Nailed it!
I have Canon R7 it’s amazing camera and I got the 11 - 16 Tokina f2.8 to do photos
I did like my r7!
