That’s not going to fix the problem. The light will come back again
Truck is over 400k no light.
Lucky you, mine did the same thing. And now module needs to be changed
Same problem here! Did you fix it?
How did you fix it?
What I noticed is that the AC only freezes over when I have my window open and the AC is not set to maximum cold if it's two or three clicks up it will freeze over with the windows open but as long as I have it on the coldest setting to the left I can drive with the windows open and it doesn't freeze over probably has something to do with humidity and airflow in the position of the freeze over sensor in the coil
I just went through the exact same thing I had tripped a fuse started working within minutes after resetting the fuse started melting ice and the vents started blowing full blast... Hope this helps
Everything in my situation work no trip fuses all the actuators work I could feel them moving when I took the dashboard apart and you can hear the fan blowing the coil was frozen over because there was ice on the bottom of the HVAC box
Exact same thing that happened to me actually just happened all I know is when I tripped the fuse back within 5 minutes I had full blow.. you had me thinking bad connection on the coil defroster maybe that was the fuse I tripped
@@ne7s29I got the same problem, same scenario. Did u fix it?
Recheck Freon levels an check your interior cabin filter hidden under fuse panel.
Filter is clean. The freon I'm guessing is low and therefor freezes over. It's low 30psi at 90f and should be close to 45psi at 90f. Prob was charged as a day cab not sleeper at the factory.
Puras chigaderas asen no sirben incomodoste y defetuosos jamas compraria uno
What was the root cause? Air filter clogged?
I like your idea, but you did this the hard way. You did not need to butcher that hot water tank, All you needed to do was hook up a coaxial heat exchanger and a recirculating pump. the heat exchanger has two ports for the refrigerant lines and two for the hot water lines.
Having the same problem Bought mine last December
Nicee, I run mine at 750-800 with no sign of wear, how is yours doing ??
Man... I think you got a sub for this ❤ So you system deliver approximately 28kw heating
Nice . You just forget to ad hundred bucks to that 37 doll for tax and delivery fees😂
Could I just divorce the coils from the inside unit and drop them in the water instead of using copper tubing to replace it? Or do you need the temp snesors and other things to be hooked to the coils for some reason? I am thinking of heating up a storage tank with corrosion protected heat transfer fluid, presumably water with anti freeze.
Short answere is yes but not really. That would be like asking can I start off in 3rd gear and then go to 1st then second. To properly release heat inside your tank you need s properly designed coil.
Great proof of concept. Now if only the manufacturers would do it
They have caught on in the US this year. Mitsubishi came out with a mono block unit this year.
Crazy Mitsubishi doesn't adapt a hyper heat unit for this. Make bigger compressors an option for higher demand
Good try, people in Europe have been doing it for years.
Could you please tell me how to regulate the temperature of the freon flow or water flow from the heat exchanger? Is it possible to somehow influence this?
The short answer to that is no because you would have to reprogram the original computer from the Mini split. that is why I stated to use this exact brand of many split. Because when it turns on and runs at full speed, its efficiency is still very, very good. Most many splits at full speed have a horrible efficiency.
Thank you very much for quick response! What do you think about other brands, Japanese of course like Daikin, Mitsubishi, Panasonic and etc?
@@slusajgledajpazi7556 Honestly, they are good in the general range. As a car at 55 miles an hour, many cars have good fuel mileage, but if you floor them, some have decent fuel mileage, and some have poor fuel mileage. the same goes for heat pumps. The other Japanese brands have a good general rating for efficiency. But under full load, they suffer 30 to 40% loss and efficiency. this L. G brand at full capacity. 5°F outside temperature produces rated capacity at Ar COP of 300%. Most other brands run 200% at full capacity at 5 Fahrenheit. If not, less, some Chinese brands are at 180%.
Great build. I'm going to try a 12kW brazed plate heat exchanger with a 2 ton cold climate minisplit and see if I can replace my condensing boiler.
Are you worried it runs too hot? I have this same stove made in 1998, if I stick a thermometer on top when it's going good that's about what it'll tell me (700-800 degrees). But the stove also has a built in "fuel efficiency" gauge which I think is just a thermometer. And at 700 degrees on top it says it's burning at 65% efficiency, I know that may just be BS but it is within what's considered the normal temp range on the gauge, and it's about where my stove runs best.
I just read your description and think I understand the point of this video better.
our AI MDVR with ADAS and DSM camera is in good perference, would you like to test?😊
Yes. If you send I can install on truck and do review.
Superb! Thank you for sharing this video.
how do u like your store I got the same stove as u how do u like it
A COP of 5 or more 😮😮🤯
you could use the indoor unit as a subcooler for the refrigerant, so you would be able to heat downstairs for free
Running a larger tank. Like 200-300 litres could help with keeping temps for when the shower will be running alot. Either that or supplementing with electrical heaters for a faster heat up when needed could do the trick.
Unit has been running for 2 years. 6ppl and no issue with doing dishes and showers one after another.
This is the exact reason i was moved from my last (brand new) truck into my new one (even more new). Now my new truck is doing the same thing. Ive notified my company numerous times about the old one, and now this new one. No fix so far.
I'm trying to do something similar with a heat pump but having trouble with the indoor part. Can you explain what it needs plugged in so the outdoor unit runs?
ruclips.net/video/QzhQpp_NBKo/видео.htmlsi=8X7aFFeVd4E5vLCr Seems easy. But perhaps you have another indoor unit? Remove one cable at the time and see if it works
Hello. I like your setup a lot, just few questions pop up. First, why didn't you used tank that already has coils inside - like bivalent tank that's used for solar systems? Coil tube diameter size? Second, if coil is located on bottom, it will heat bottom and gradually transfer heat to the top. That means you have to wait for tank to heat up. But if you make coil on top, it will quickly heat up enough water for immediate consumption which if not spent, can be moved to the bottom with additional small pump that can be connected instead of motor (yes, I know you'd need additional electronics with it). Somehow, running that fan motor for nothing seems like a waste. I'm from Europe, on meridian similar to Virginia.
I needed exact size of pipe and leather in tank so I had to make my own. Th bigger portion of the heating coil is on the bottom of the water tank and that is after I did a few test trails prior to permanently placing the coil in tank. I tried it more to the top and then middle. The way it is now heated the water evenly and as the top reaches 125f the bottom is not cold. Maybe 115f. The heat from coilmon bottom goes to the top all by its self when heating so no point of placing it on top and as the top of the tank gets up to 125f its easier for lower part of the tank to receive the heat since the coil is there. Works best this way. Most of the coil on bottom and some middle and less on top. I looked through many pictures of other tanks and they looked similar. The fan motor need to run for heat pump to not have codes. With no fan attached it uses very little power.
The in house heat pump water heater are half as good but they cool your home!! So during summer those heater pull the heat from your home and turn it cold so that you save on heating and on cooling as well!! One persin with a Rheem heater saved 1/3 in his power bill from 240 to 180 just by installing a premade system. They are $2000 but easy to install!! If you wer to vent that cool air into your home you would save more!!!
I’m experiencing the exact problem with the same outside temperature of 72 degrees… pos
my Pacifica has been stuck in FORM mode for a week. drove 200 miles, refuled, changed oil. HELP?
Yes, so the vehicle is not getting as hot as it wants to. And it will stay in that mode until it Heats up properly. So what I suggest is you can stop and leave the car on. Which is what I did and it will stay on for UP to an hour or more And run very hot to clean up the oil. Ultimately what it's trying to do is drive any moisture out from the oil by getting it hot. The annoyance is that the vehicle will not run in the electric mode properly when the clean oil mode turns on... So if that mode is on, just parked the car and leave it on, it will get pretty hot.
@@ne7s29 Idled the car yesterday in 85ºF weather and the car would not go above 210º for Oil and motor kept cycling. I had already tried adding 5+ gallons of fuel. Also tried resetting the oil life indicator, car is only 6 months from build and less than 800 miles when it first entered FORM. I drove over 100 miles yesterday and didn't shut it off for over 2.5 hrs and it never got hot enough despite sitting and idling several times. This morning after a 15 mile drive I let it idle and it finally did heat up and exceeded 230ºF Oil - BUT how do you know when it exits the mode? Does the message go away without interaction? Of course that is moot since to watch the oil temp I had to press a key resulting in the FORM message disappearing. Is it possible to monitor via OBD port if FORM is active, or I suppose next time I will monitor oil temp via OBD and leave the FORM message on the dashboard.
@@ne7s29 I think it's trying to get the oil to temp to vaporize gasoline that's in the engine. At least that's what I've read elsewhere.
I have installed a few of these units and wire directly to truck batteries. Then installed honda.generator 2200 and connect a 40 amp battery charger to the generator and wire into the batteries....... Good for few hrs ... any thoughts. Not the best route if u want more hr run time
I built lifepo4 batteries 12v 280ah each from 18650batterystore.com. 2x of them gives me 15-25hrs depending on outside temp.
The US REQUIREMENTS for double wall separation may lower transfer rate but would not increasing contact area of condenser compensate for the less efficient heat transfer. Question when cold water is being introduced and creates thermo layers how will that affect the return refrigerant temperature . Will the repurposed controls be able to compensate ? Yes i worked in HVAC for many years i am not an engineer.
I have many other videos showing this unit running in house. Been 2 years. No issues. No weird compressor noise. No loss of heating output.
This looks like a disaster
In one mns eyes a disaster and in another's a work of art. To each his own. Law of relativity
@ne7s29 I guess it really depends, did this end up working safely and reliably or did you destroy two expensive appliances? What was the plan to make the high pressure water storage vessel safe after you cut into it snd destroyed the glass lining?
@@cheekybastard99 the other videos explain they rest. Working well for few years.
Curious about the compressor speed control. If I can get one separate
Those flares leak or is the pressure low enough they don't?
The flair that you are mentioning is not but it into it, it's actually passing completely through.
Pretty amazing that it's still going trouble free. I really want to do something similar, but with cold water. That way I could take advantage of absurdly cheap power in the middle of the day to create coolness for the evening during the expensive peak time.
Your water temp would need to be near freezing, otherwise by morning you wouldn’t be dehumidifying the air. Target water temp: 40F.
looking forward to updates in time. Going to try this in my place one day, I hope. 👍👍
Hi mate, magnificent work. Two years after the build, how it behaves? Any problems so far?
I'll put up another video. Maybe today. All is well

Thank you for the update.
Thank you for making this. I was looking around for a split hot water heater. But the Sanden was just too expensive to even consider.
How did you do the sensor so that it would turn on until 120f
I've never seen a mini split water heater in Europe, they are usually all air-water monoblock heat pumps. I'm about to start building a 2.5kW unit from a r290 mini-split and my existing DHW tank.
Same problem here. I believe one or more of the battery of the four batteries the batteries for one is junk. SMH. I will never buy electric again! Gas only!
Excellent build. Are you still using r410a or did you switch to a different refrigerant. I noticed that it’s not in its final config like in your other videos. Do you recover and reuse?; evacuate and refill? Or there’s another procedure. Thanks.
If you had this problem it’s because you got a copy of the cart the cart original Creator is big toys green Country other go kart companies like to copy other Karts to the best one is big toys

I got mine from big toys green county and I’m having the same issues. Terrible company and product. Please don’t waste your money
I've seen plenty hybrid heat pump water heaters for sale in the US for years. What am I missing?
They pull the energy from ur home. This uses outside temp
Have you been able to figure out what's wrong? I bought 2. I've been having charging issues since day one. The day before I charged all day until the next day mid morning. They keep showing green as well. We go to use them and the yellow light shows up and goes slow.
You either have a bad charger that is not charging to the proper voltage for the batteries are bad. Bad batteries will charge up but they do not hold energy. You can individually check the 4 batteries
@@ne7s29 but why does the battery charger light indicate green? when it is clearly not charged? I replaced the 30amp fuse in the battery case and it still will not charge
@hughhill you need to take a volt meter and test the 2 probes that come out of the battery box. Should read between 44v and 55v. If no voltage in the battery box what's the chargers supposed to charge. Needs to be a complete circuit
My voltmeter reads more than 48v but the kart would not move… The battery indicator is dead as well…
I am curious if dropping original heat echanger into the tank would work as well instead of putting a new coil of copper tubing. I suppose corrosion would become an issue because of aluminum fins... I wodner how long it would survive
To get good cop u need to have the coil spread out from top to bottom. Just putting in a hot coil will heat the water but not efficiently.
International LTs are good truck. Transmission and ABS issues are the main problems though.
