  • Running the stove at 350f stove top with nice flames for approximately one hr. Tiny stove that can give good head and also burn one log at a time if you just want a fire show and low heat. Very well built cast iron double wall construction with all replaceable/removable inside cast pieces. Get coals after 8hr night to restart in morning if you have a good ash bed to insulate the coals.

Good to hear that you can do OK burning lower heat. Thanks for sharing! I have an F100 waiting to be installed in a cabin I haven't built yet :-D

The trick is I cut my regular firewood into half. Approximately 6-9 inches and not to thick. Small bed of coals of bottom and one piece laying lengthwise and second one sideways on top. You get good enough air flow to move fire through the logs and they burn with low output. Approximately 300f stove top. Load her up and you get 500f stove top. Also my wood is comparable to kiln dried. Drying for three years and in a shed now out of the weather. They say wood is good to burn if you can take a match to a corner of your log and it will start to burn.

@@ne7s29 I like the match test. Interesting on the firewood lengths.... I've been stacking wood up for mine, but been cutting it at about 14" so it fits. Maybe I'll cut some shorter splits to have on hand.

@@natereik 14 fits side to side but you don't get good enough air flow if you lay them side to side. It works if you do first row on bottom front to back then two logs on top side to side for overnight burn. The air flows under and to the back of wood stove for a good burn. Unless your running it real hot with lots of hot coals it doesn't burn side to side to well.

2 units/... One 24,000 BTU in living area room with piano and probably one 12,000 BTU in first area of house you walked into with table. This will cost approximately $2,600 for the two units. if you choose to buy the 36000 BTU multizone unit it will cost you 3200-3500 and will produce the same heat output at 5f. If this is Minnesota with very low outdoor temperatures in the winter I would place a 18000 BTU instead of the 12,000 to make sure it's warm. Best unit would be to install 2 Fujitsu 15rls3 models but they $1800 each plus all supplies.

@@anjeikasteklov5688 you get more heat for less money spent. And when it's not very cold outside you can only run one unit at low heat which is more efficient than running a big outside unit and trying to make it to give low heat. Senville Aura units seemed to be okay a lot of people in Canada install them where it's cold climate. Only time will tell how long it will last. If you plan on living in house for a long time I would suggest Japanese unit.
