I'm trying to do something similar with a heat pump but having trouble with the indoor part. Can you explain what it needs plugged in so the outdoor unit runs?

Your water temp would need to be near freezing, otherwise by morning you wouldn’t be dehumidifying the air. Target water temp: 40F.

Seems easy. But perhaps you have another indoor unit? Remove one cable at the time and see if it works
