I would have gotten you that origami trash wrapper book with the thought that you don't like waste and you believe you can make anything useful and pretty... There were shows I've done where I didn't even make the vendor fees back. Most shows I do are like that. I tell myself "these fees are going to charity". Otherwise I would quit.

Great job on the moth wings for the costume! Using a sewing machine is hard. I really enjoy the chill vibes of your videos. 🐈

My advice would be to try to hold the tails of the thread when you start, or make sure they are long enough that the machine is not going to pull them out or make a knot of them. You'll get the hang of it.

As someone who used to teach sewing classes tat my local library, I'd say you did a great job with your first time with a sewing machine! You also might be surprised to know that everyone breaks their first needle almost instantly. 😅 Your costume came out great too! It gave 1920's flapper vibes! 💛
