I’m sorry it didn’t go well. I’ve been there, and it’s nice that you’re showing a realistic view of good and bad. For my mental health I had to stop calling markets that I didn’t meet my minimum (3x the booth fee) a “failure”. Now I call them “no returns” because most of the time it wasn’t because of something I did, and calling it a failure made me feel like it was my fault. Really it just wasn’t a market for my business. Wishing you the best at your next market 🙂

Aww, sad that this show didn't work out for you! Hopefully the next show will be better! Thank you for making these types of market vlog videos, it's nice to see that not every market is always perfect like in other videos.

First of all - there's no such thing as a failure in these things, you never know how things are going to turn out, it's part of the risk of selling at shows. Making your booth fee is great because essentially no money has been lost bar your time and you're getting your business out there to more people. Super proud of you for attending the second day, sometimes its all about pushing through.
One thing I did notice about your stall was that it looked a little sparse. Maybe try to increase your inventory as much as possible or add some more display items/decorations to bulk things out to draw people into your stall. You could also try having a special craft show promotion such as a free scrunchie on purchases over X or something similar, as this should also encourage engagement. Your products are amazing, just remember that customers can be incredibly fickle and what works one day doesn't work the next.

Someone else mentioned this as well, I definitely do need to change my language. My booth was pretty sparse because I had almost sold out a couple weeks ago and didn't have a lot of time to restock. I know that was definitely a contributing factor. Good idea to do a show special! Thanks for your feedback 💗

There were shows I've done where I didn't even make the vendor fees back. Most shows I do are like that.
I tell myself "these fees are going to charity". Otherwise I would quit.

I did my first local craft market and made $82 in 7 hrs! I spend most of it on buying from the other vendors there. Let’s just say I’ll stick with bigger well known markets lol.
I’m sorry you didn’t do so well at this market.

I'm sorry about the outcome, but I admire you sticking with it the second day. I loved this video because of the moments where you are crocheting and there is a show going on in the background or you are drinking from a mug and your cute cat is there with you. I loved the aesthetics of this video. Thank you for posting and please keep going!

It is always so disappointing when the markets don't go as planned. My last market, I KNEW it wasn't going to be great and yet I was still so disappointed. All the preparation, work, and time that goes into getting ready, setting up and being at an event takes up so much mental space and energy. For it to do poorly is so disheartening. In the same town I can make over $1k at a market or like my last market I can make $60. Big hugs! Not all markets will be like that.

Thank you for being so honest. I'm so sorry you had one unsuccessful show. Hope the others go well. Your items are so amazing . Thank you for your wonderful video's. Also we have gone back many times to go through your video for scrunchies. We have made many now and we are hoping to sell them soon. I have been to nervous to sell at a show as I have hard time if I'm around too many people and alot of noise. Anyway we will send a picture of our scrunchies on instagram . Hope your doing well. So sorry about the market :( thanks so much for being so open about it though! As a fellow crochet small biz owner- i feel you!🌸 Totally unrelated, but do you think you could make a vid on tarot reading, how to get into tarot etc? Only if you want to ofc! I'm thinking of getting my first tarot deck soon💫

Aww I’m sorry shit didn’t go as you planned. No way in hell would or could I ever agree to a market longer than like 5hrs lol no way I could physically or mentally for 17 plus drive holy shit. ❤ thanks for explaining the booth fee/juried. I have my first show ever (a witchy show I make badass figure candles and resin and beaded crap and now crochet lol) in October and the booth fee is only $25! lol (small town) so I’m happy i won’t lose much even if I bomb completely lol
