- Have you heard of plarn?? Well, we're making it today! I saved a bunch of plastic shopping bags and I'm gonna make them into yarn that I can crochet to my heart's content.

omg this is brilliant! this idea makes me happy as an environmentalist/fellow crocheter
My mom used to make plarn when I was growing up and would turn it into dish scrubbies. I'm glad to see it in a different cappacity, I think making plarn into reusable grocery bags is amazing, I'd love to do this too! Thank you for sharing!
DISH SCRUBBERS! genius!
So cool! Thank you :)
Cute cats and yes its hard from plarn
Very cool experiment!
WHAT THATS SO COOL I DIDNT KNOW THIS WAS POSSIBLE
It's so fun!!
I live in California and before the bag prop passed a few years ago, I made a couple sleeping mats for the homeless out of plarn. I’ve also made beach bags (because the sand falls through and the plastic dries better than yarn) and I made baskets.
Now our bags are super thick plastic and though you can still make plarn, the plastic is stiffer and not as easy to work with. Plus, the bags cost 10¢ each soooo it’s not free like the thinner plastic bags used to be.
I'm excited to see that pass in more states! Sleeping mats is a great idea, I'll have to make a few of those
all of your videos are soo entertaining!!! you are so cool
Aw thank you
My aunt used to make stuff out of plarn all the time! I really want to do that too but sadly where i live they don't have plastic bags anymore only reusable bags. Edit: Ohh wait i just realised trash bags!! (They're the same as plastic bags)
At least there's no plastic bags! I wish we did that over here. You could probably also use old clothes or bedsheets!
