Hi everybody, here are some more sounds for the Reface DX. Let me know in the comments what's other synths you own that could need more patches. I will try to answer the comments more. I wasn't very connected lately, I am not a professional RUclipsr or instrument seller, I actually make a living by playing these instruments.

Elepian EP61C, the japanese Rhodes/Wurlitzer Piano?
Просмотров 4,7 тыс.3 года назад
This is a demo of a very rare electric piano made by Denon/Columbia Nippon Japan. They started making electric pianos in 1962. I am not sure how old this one is exactly. It´s like a mix between Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Hohner Pianet and Hohner Electra. The keyboard touch is light like a Wurlitzer, but feels different, maybe most similar to the Hohner Electra.

Mini vent II vs EHX Lester K vs Nord Electro 5D.

Comparison between 2 leslie simulator pedals and the internal leslie sim from the Nord. Recorded in mono all on the same channel. Volume differences come from the pedals. No other effects used.
Crumar Mojo 61 vs Nord Electro 5d vs Wurlitzer 200A

Comparison between the Wurlitzer sounds from the Crumar Mojo 61 and Nord Electro 5d (61) and an original Wurlitzer 200A. Just recorded with an Iphone to give you a rough idea. Everything is connected to a JBL EON615 and a litlle mixer. All EQ is set flat. The Mojo got options to change the sound. On the Nord you cannot edit piano sounds. Nord offers 2 wurlitzer samples this is the 1 ,the other ...

Comparison between the Rhodes sounds from the Crumar Mojo 61 and Nord Electro 5d (61) and an original Rhodes mk1 from 1975. Just recorded with an Iphone SE to give you a rough idea. Everything is connected to a JBL EON615 and a litlle mixer. All EQ is set flat. The mojo and the nord got several rhodes samples. On the nord it is the Suitcase MK1 close ideal on the mojo it is the "sweet" since I ...
Nice but i don't know how to split the Nord Electro 3 😊
Expressclav lekker man
hello, I have an electro 5 d and a yamaha reface dx, could you tell me where I could download the sounds to them, thank you 🎹
Outstanding presets ❤❤ I need this in my DX.
truly the best FM sounds i've ever heard in my life, you are a master
Haha thanks!
i've played piano for most my life yet i feel like i'm several lifetimes away from playing as good as you. do you have any advice for a classically trained person who's barely done any improvising? i admire your playing so, so much, i wish i could get to a similar level, with enough practice. also cheers man, you made me buy the DX, i was really yearning something portable for live jamming ;)
dude that Jarre patch was spot on, indistinguishable from the original. my jaw dropped.
3:11 sounds like something from 80s Japanese city pop
Nord much brighter here, but Crumar gets some of the mid low overtones better. 200a has both
Do you have a Rev 2, Tom? Cheers, Paul
No, in the past I had the 08 prophet6 and OB6 later they came out with the rev. It seems to me the best buying option out of those, but I didnt own it, only tried it in a music shop..
@@TomAnsinkVideos okay thanks a lot for explaining. Cheers Paul
DAMN, sounding great man! Thanks for this
Impressive
Tom your patches are soooo good.. have inspired me in many wayz. Any chance of a video where you show us the process of creating sounds (organ.ep.bass.synth) would be amaaazeballs !!
Hello, thanks for your comments. Some asked me for a video how to before, the problem is that i go a lot by ear, one thing are the fundamentals how a synth or an FM synth works. This you find on YT better than I can explain, but from there I go lot by ear, I only think how does the form or shape overtime has to be (attack decay release ect.) and 2 the tone (Saw sine square modulated operator´s ect.) and also the effect on dynamics on that and where on the keybed (tracking). It a bit like how to make a song, it's easier to explain chords than how to make a song because it comes down to your taste.
@@TomAnsinkVideos whatever you are doing, keep doing it.. all my patches are ansink now!
@@fhamm7546 Oh wow, nice to hear! Good luck with it, cheers!
Nice
Love it !
Really great !
These sounds are GREAT !! Did you upload them to the Yamaha website?
Part of that Oberhammer song almost sounds kind of Ashes 2 Ashes era Bowie - what song is that?
All these sounds are so much grander than what you'd expect from a small FM synth like it. Gosh I need to see if I can do this stuff on my Electone HS-6...
This shows right here…. Yeah, the presets on a synth are fine in a lot of cases but, if you know what you’re doing or at least noodle around…. You could make a great sound a $1000 synth would have for a preset with a synth at a fraction of the cost. It also helps that he can play his ass off on the keys. 👍
Great patches
can we get some more Rhodes and wuli sounds I want like a Rhodes sound like Led Zeppelin used
True talent right here!
Wow just discovered these. Interested in drifting slightly breezy organic sounding pads - I've seen some people do this surprisingly well with FM... but usually not done on FM! but when it can be done, it really shines, it seems!
Que maravilla de diseño de sonidos, muy buen trabajo, felicitaciones y gracias por compartirlos! / What a wonderful sound design, very good work, congratulations and thank you for sharing them!
Gracias a ti!
Excellent. I’m getting a Reface DX next week and hope the Soundmondo thingy is straightforward so I can instal your Rhodes and Wurli patches.

Tips to able to solo like that? (on the keys)
I feel like I end up just playing the blues scale a lot, it's too recognizable as just the blues scale.
Beautiful style
everytime ya go to lester the volume drops by design ..... 30 percent !!!
Amazing demo
How do I learn how to play like this?
Patience and determination.
there's some annoying frequencies in the middle range, with internal sim. With mini vent they are gone
Yamaha should pay you!!!
Beautiful performance bro!
Great job but how about wooly bully watch it now 😮
soft lead riff is nutty
🔥
That Crumar patch is instant Bryan Ferry. Pure gold. Thank you so much for making it available!
Sorry guys , party pooper here.... After having a Hammond and a mighty 147 in my back for 50 yrs. I picked up a Hammond XK-1, and the internal Leslie is deadly accurate plus the tweaks are limitless ...!!! Right off the bat you get to pick which Leslie model you want , 122, 147, 910, + more ! Next, totally customizable ramp up and ramp down times .... Mic settings .... Crossover points ...??? Even a sort of parametric EQ to dial in exactly what you want the horn / woofer to sound like . And use the right stuff to play it through. If Im grinding with a band, 2 old refurb BFI'S with 18' and horns.... pushed with 400 watt QSC .... AND 2 refurb Peavey 300 keyboard mixer amps .... Christ on a Stereo hookup its Devastatingly good ...! But through headphones just as well ... The DSP Chip on the XK-1, came out after the XK-3 was launched..... it has the better Leslie / Chorus / Vibrato.... Check out Tony Monaco plays the Hammond XK-1.... makes the vent seem like its got training wheels on ...Lol....😊
Awesome. In a mix with the average non musician music fan listening (99.9% of the public) no one could tell or would care.👍
What is that song starting at 1:22? I can‘t get it out of my head and I‘d love to get my hands on some sheet music. :)
Hey, just some impro, its not a existing song, or maybe now it is..
I'm going to buy one of these. Can you actually download these sounds into your DX??
yes
@@Dear_Belovedhow?
you have a great sense of time man
You should maybe raise the volume of keyboard with Lester since volume is so low i barely hear anything. Other then that nice comparation, and good playing.
Man those sounds are crafted perfectly, well done some of the best ive heard, didnt realise FM was that flexible, and here am i making searing Hoodesque bleepcore 😔
