Dude dead inside made me take a looooong break from reading and reevaluate my taste in books. I still very much like splatterpunk and often find myself bored reading most other genres outside of horror, I found my limit with that book.

Triangle is such a mindbending, twisty, wild ride. I'm so glad you enjoyed Edifice Complex, too. I also felt some kinship with Karim -- well, to a certain point🤣

Great video! Ok, I need to read the Edifice Complex in November based on your review. It will be interesting to read the book from a Bi-Polar, mildly psychotic point of view. Michael loves Clive Barker (as do I) and I am sure this has an influence on his writing style. I think I will have a good time! Wild Spaces was on my tbr for August or July, did not get around to reading it. Sounds like a weird, interesting book.

Not usually one for witch books but "They are cursed like you" has me very much intrigued with that cover and that it's not a cozy witch story (they all seem to be cozy ☹) but darker story. Maybe I'll get that one. Movies: definitely "Trick'r'Treat" for a fantastic Halloween watch. And if you like Slashers and found footage, give "Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon" a try, it's a very underrated imho and has great fall vibes (the showdown is on on apple orchard).

I love Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, so I'm really picky about Frankenstein retellings/reimaginings. So Thirsty is on my Halloween-a-thon TBR, too. I can't wait!
