Props to you for reading your physical tbr! My favorite book of Sept was Dark Mountain. Jk. Laymie did us dirty with that one. Your lil ghostie lights are cute! 🎠 🎡 🎪
I loved the little side comment about not having to wait too long for the book to leave your head for you to watch the movie 😂😂 The Woman in Black is on my classic books to read list! So glad you enjoyed it!
Another great video. Thank you for bringing attention to my work🥰And I love the screen-peel edit. I need to figure out how to do that. Cool! (I dig the sweater, BTW)🎠
I'm going to be (finally) reading Something Wicked This Way Comes the last week of the month. I have a physical copy but I'll be listening via audio since I can squeeze in more books that way while walking/driving/during slower hours at work... I can't wait!!
The Woman in Black has been on my TBR forever! My library only has a ebook so I can submit a purchase request for a physical copy BUT I absolutely love gothic fiction and want to build up that part of my collection so I may just buy it myself.
I am going to have to check out Maul Rats. I loved Something Wicked This Way Comes. I really enjoyed Wild Spaces as well. I heard not so great things about it, but I am glad I gave it a try.
Great Wrap-Up Kritz! Carni sounds great, also love her channel. Interesting to hear your thoughts on Something Wicked This Way Comes, I adore the writing but can understand why it is not for everyone. So happy you enjoyed it. This kind of reminds me of a Tarantino "zombie|" movie..."I'm gonna eat your brains and gain your knowledge." 😂 Jokes aside sounds like a deep story. Totally agree on Dark Mountain, not a great book. I really need to get to The Woman in Black. 🎃🎪
I'm sure upon re-read I will get even more from something wicked. Dark mountain was borrrrrring. I just finished resurrection dreams though, and it was much better than most
I am ashamed to admit that I've never read Something Wicked This Way Comes. However, in my defense, it is on my TBR this month. Abigail sounds like an interesting premise. Too bad the writing isn't good. Edifice Complex is such a wild and fun ride. It's a hard book to describe. The title conveys a lot, but it goes some places I wasn't expecting at all🤣 Heads Will Roll was a fun read. The Woman in Black is one of my favorites. I'm rereading it this month. Great wrap-up!
Never shameful to have not read a book yet. There are so many out there! I think you will enjoy it. Everyone deserves a Karim in their life that will be treated with the loving care that he did that apartment
Hahaha, I totally forgot I read Dark Mountain this year 😂 it was very boring and dumb..oh, Laymon. I love the woman in black book and movie is so fun!! 🎡🎪
The movie Something Wicked this Way Comes scared me so much as a kid. I’ve always meant to read the novel. I bought the UK edition a while back. If you get a chance look it up, from Blackwells, it’s pretty cool and has a carousal on the cover. It sits forward on my shelves cause I love the cover so much. Hope October is a great month for you! 😊
oooh, that is a good cover! I only saw the movie for the first time this year, but I can see how it could scare the crap out of you. When I saw the spider scene, I knew I would have freaked out seeing that as a kid
I watched it with my husband and he found it a bit confusing having not read the book. I enjoyed it, but not as much as the book. I'll still be rewatching it every Fall though, I think!

Awesome list of books you got through for Sept!

hahaa, yes, my memory for the details is never great, so you can tell me the same joke over and over 🤷♀️
My favorite book in September was Eynhallow by Tim McGregor. Thanks for the wrap up! 📚🎃
I haven't read that one, but I did enjoy his novel, wasps in the icecream. I'll have to check it out!

thanks! hey! your emoji game is getting stronger! Karim is still living in my head. That was a great read!
Carni sounds fun! I need to read Something Wicked This Way Comes, I enjoyed The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury.
I read Halloween tree last year, but I liked this one even more. Carni was def. worth a read!

I hope you enjoy it! I def. had to take this one a little slower, but so worth it IMO

I’ve seen some pretty editions of this book!
I am going to have to check out Maul Rats. I loved Something Wicked This Way Comes. I really enjoyed Wild Spaces as well. I heard not so great things about it, but I am glad I gave it a try.
I had fun will Maul rats! I felt more connected to the characters in that one. Not sure why people didn't like wild spaces. I loved it!

And to think, Laymon could have had the witch causing people to do naked handstands all over the place and had fun with it but nooooo.

🎪 So, what did you think of the movie version of Something Wicked This Way Comes?
