🦖 Thanks so much for taking part in GarbAugust! Hope you enjoy Garbology. Flowers in the Attic is great
Everytime I see/hear Garbology, I get this 80's song from Paula Abdul in my head (Vibeology)...which is weird since I haven't heard it in over 30 years. Excited for Flowers in the attic!
That cover for Nightscape, wow.
I could imagine a book called Cuts going to some really dark/disturbing places.
Flowers in the Attic, a classic.
It's always cool when you discover that a book you have is signed.
Hopefully we don't have too much longer until more comfortable weather arrives. 🦖
Laymon is definitely fitting for grab august 😂 so excited to hear what you think of Nest of Nightmares!! 🐿️
I read my first Laymon last year for Garbaugust and loved it. Still chasing that high
I am looking forward to reading Nightscape. I loved Into the Drowning Deep.I need to read The Day of the Door. Laurel Hightower is one of my fave writer, and I am slackin'
Same! Love Laurel Hightower. Sometimes I just like to waaaaaait on a book I think I will love because I'm weird like that
Love your Pile Of Possibilities! Nightscape has such a wicked cover. I am excited to buddy read The Forgotten Island with you, 😀 Garbology sounds like a great collection. I need to re-watch Poltergeist, I remember having a fun, scary time with it as a child. I had mixed feelings on A Nest Of Nightmares, interested to hear your thoughts. I also had a lot of fun with The Drive In and have the sequel on my kindle, would love to get to it this year. I need to read Day of The Door, if only for the awesome cover. Off Season is nasty and frikken terrifying, I think you will love it... probably, possibly, maybe. 🤣🐀🐀 Mouse or rat is the best I can do.
I feel so behind on my reading! I NEED to get to Off Season, but also so many others. I did start Summer of Night though....and it is building up quite nicely!
that cover for Playing Possom 🤩 hope you have a great august!!
hahaa, right? It was a total cover buy. It isn't disappointing me so far
!
A mermaid horror book sounds so good! 🧜🏻♀️👻 Poltergeist is amazing. I need to read the novelisation, the cover is awesome
Yes! I love the idea of mermaids being these dark, scary predators. I def. need to re-watch the Poltergeist sequels this spooky season!
🦖
Flowers in the Attic is dark, trashy, and cringy- I had a good time with it! I hope you enjoy your August reads
Lol there really should be a possum emoji 🐭 🐭 🐭
Justice for the possums! I'm excited for Flowers in the Attic. I have no idea why I was drawn to it as a kid, but I was!
Sounds like a fun month!
Hope so! I feel like I've been slacking lately with getting through books
I'm excited to hear your full thoughts on Into the Drowning Deep!
I'm enjoying it so far, but ready for some action!
The cover of Nightscape is fantastic! I'm reading Edifice Complex this month. Into the Drowning Deep is so good. I hope your August reads bring you lots of joy!
Thanks, Jen! I'm in the 2nd half of the Wertenberg short stories, and they started getting more dark and gruesome (they aren't all horror stories)
Flowers in the Attic is waaaaaaay better than Audrina. You’ve got awesome picks for the month. Enjoy!!
Audrina had some messed up scenes that I loved, but too much other shit I couldn't get past. We needed a drinking game for everytime someone fell down that staircase
@@Kritz_Reads haha so true! We’d be smashed. 🍺
Good luck with your reading! I am taking part in Garbaugust!
I am hanging on to the heat! I like all the fall things but it leads to cold weather which I don't function well in! 🦡🦕
Yay for GarbAugust! Sorry to hear that about the cooler weather. It seems to effect a lot of people like that. :(
Great to see you participating in GarbAugust.
of course! I had a great time last year with it!
Hope you enjoy whatever you end up reading! I quite enjoyed My Sweet Audrina but I think Flowers in the Attic is much better. Yay for Garth Marenghi!
Do you have to read those Marenghi books in any kind of order? I enjoyed a lot of scenes in Audrina, but hated how they spoke about one character CONSTANTLY
@@Kritz_Reads I think in the second book they do reference things from the first one so I'd read them in order! (Sorry for the late reply!!)
✨📚🖤
Always good to see you, Melissa! thanks for watching/hanging out
Toby No Bone trying to weasel his way back in. If you end up enjoying Flowers in the Attic, you will probably like Heaven by her as well. Her books are so taboo and fun. Ohh I recommended The Seas. I hope you like it. I used your Aardvark code to order The Bright Sword for this month..so thank you for that! 🐭🦖🦝
Well I listened to you and immediately requested it from my library, but forgot why. Sorry about that! I hope I like Flowers in the attic so I can check out some of her other stories. Thanks for using my code! I had to go for Bury your Gays this month - but I want to hear what you think of the Bright sword!
