Proto25 - 130g 2.5 Inch Long Range FPV Quad Mods and Review, Part 2
So we completed the build in the last episode, and the mediocre RC link and GPS performance kept the P25 from getting what it was meant to be - a long range ripper. What can we do to get it straight? Time to throw out the official manual and start modifying.
In this episode we will overhaul the Proto25's setup by reducing as much internal interference as possible. Different antenna mounting options are experimented, while re-wiring components here and there. Let's troubleshoot together and see if we can go from ZERO to HERO. Please tell me about your idea by leaving a comment, thank you!

Our wishlist of a quad is long. We want power, long range, crash proof, race ready, freestyle, GPS rescue, LED, buzzer, HD streaming and 4K stabilized recording; all of the above to fit into the smallest package possible for the 250g limit. Mission impossible? In this video, we explore the build and review of the Proto25 FPV quad from Protofpv. We assess various criteria including GPS signal pe...

Betafpv Pavo Pico Toothpico lost ELRS antenna mid-flight! Japan FPV trip 2024 Ep3 Mt. Aso

Welcome back to the episode 3 of my Japan FPV trip 2024. In this episode we are heading to Mt. Aso from Fukuoka, passed by a very pretty rest area or "roadside station" called Mizube-no-Sato, which features excellent views of cherry blossoms and a valley in Oyamamachi. Furthermore, the museum of Attack on Titan is right next to it. Whipped out my sub100g drone and captured the sweet scenes in h...

Travel is fun, while packing is not for most people. There is always a dilemma of packing too much and too little. This is especially true for us FPV pilots. In addition, everything in the bag has to go through security at ...

Should you bother? Betafpv SuperG Nano TX Module for Regular ELRS and Built-in Receivers, Lipo tips.

We sometimes overlook 2 of the most important pieces of equipment that keep us in the air: the ELRS transmitter (module) and the lipo. Betafpv came up with the SuperG Nano TX ELRS module, and I have been using it for a few months. For those who usually fly with micro (or nano) FPV quads, Gemini capable receivers are usually not found in all in one flight controllers; or if you still have standa...
Build a Cinematic Toothpick FPV Quad - Toothpico Sub 100g 2" with DJI O3 Airunit

Last year I built my first sub 100g FPV quad O3. It is time again to build a new one for my upcoming trip to Japan during the sakura season. I always enjoy flying my Betafpv Pavo Pico and Pavo20. It is a shame that sub 100g is too difficult if not impossible to achieve with the Pavo20. This leaves the Pavo Pico on the table. Having learned from my last trip and the experience with the O3 75mm a...

DJI O3 Air Unit Antenna is 5.8GHz/2.4GHz Dual Band UFL Antenna - LHCP. I am not too sure if Rush Cherry 2 is dual band though, I suppose it doesn't matter as long as you don't use the 2.4ghz band (e.g. Dji Remote Controller 2) and you get the LHCP model.

Thanks for watching and your comment! I assume that you were referring to the RSSI and LQ readings. RSSI tell us the strength of the signal at a given time LQ indicates the Link Quality of the connection between the radio and the receiver. In general, LQ is more useful. 100 being the best while you don't want it to dip below 60. The arrow next to the voltage is the home arrow. It's only active when the goggles is connected to a compatible DJI drone e.g. Avata. Hope that answered your questions, welcome to the FPV world and happy flying!

Wow all those beautiful and incredible shots - just amazing especially 4:20 with Cheery Blossoms in the foreground and Mt Fuji above the clouds in the background. Your choice of music is also right on. Must have been a perfect vacation - doing the things you love and enjoy.

You may see how I mounted the camera in Part One of my Pavo20 build. The key is to make the camera sits higher rather than lower. Thanks for watching and your comment!
