Updating/Repairing the brakes on a 1971 Ford F-500. Putting another old truck back to work.
I pulled this old medium duty truck from the woods of northern Michigan a few months ago. I drove it home full of mice and bees with no brakes and i'm finally getting around to giving it some attention. In this video we'll install a Battle Born Brakes retrofit kit, install all new copper nickel brake lines using an amazon flaring tool, and take the ol' girl on her maiden voyage.

Running an Auger with a Chinese Mini Excavator. Landhero 12.

Putting the chinese mini excavator to work with an auger. I'm going to be building a sauna and this is the site prep for the foundation. Its going to be 12'x8' and have a total of 12 footings. Still a little green operating the ol' landhero, but fun to get some seat time. Thanks for watching!

I pulled this 2005 Ski-doo Summit Adrenaline 800HO from deep in the woods of Michigan's Upper Peninsula last summer. It supposedly had an altercation with a tree and it was left for dead. I've got it back at the shop now, and we're going to disassemble the ol' girl and find out just how much work she'll need to see snow once again. It may take some doing, but i think we can handle it. Personally The Turbo Kit (because it has low compression) - It would have V8 Power under boost, and 6cyl economy at cruise. - I would make sure the oak is dry 2 years, then paint with a brush or industrial sprayer (like weed sprayer) several coats used oil...FYI loosen your bolts holding the wood down prior to painting or the wood will snap the bolts upon expansion (soaking up the oil - Ask me how I know!)....I have several trailers and a fence painted with used oil....The one trailer has been stored outside for 50 years....wood is still good (also rough cut oak)

@northwoodsnoise hey there. I have the same tractor bought it about a week back. Only 474 hours on it. Great shape minus the paint and hoses. Can I pick your brain on the hoses? What size are they 3/8 I have the exact same loader. My hoses are just showing the steel braid at this point. And the rear two hoses for the rock shaft one leaks. Only leak I have on the tractor luckily did you replace those? Do you have any tractor supply parts numbers? I went there the other day all the hoses mine carried were male x male hose ends and looks like some of mine are female. Also can I get a better look at your hose routing as mine has the optional grill guard and that hits the bucket hoses and wear them out. Kind of a crappy design. And did you know of the company who does make a quick attach for this? What about a 3rd function add a line for the bucket? I’m looking at adding hydraulics for the 3 point or just having them incase I can ever find a backhoe for mine. Great tractors. Bullet proof. You see how simple and amazing these machines are. Thanks for videoing. I’ll be looking for your reply as I want to replace my hoses soon. Do you recall how much they were for the whole loader? $200-300?

Hi @NorthwoodsNoise thanks for your video series on this truck. I have a 1979 F150 351m that I have been throwing a lot of parts at the last couple years. Currently rebuilding the engine since I also found bearing material in the pan when I dropped that to replace oil pan and timing cover gaskets as well as the front seal. I ended up pulling the engine a couple weeks ago and tearing it down for further inspection. The front cam bearing and either 3rd or 4th one back ended up being the culprits. Since the crank required grinding I am swapping for a 400 crank with higher compression pistons from Tim Meyer, a mild cam, weiand intake, holley double pumper and inside the frame headers. Of course various other doodad's too. Anyway, my reason for comment is regarding the bleeding of the p/s system. Last summer I swapped out steering boxes for a Red Head, used the same steering shaft as you and also converted to hydroboost for power brakes. Battleborn brakes supplied the brackets to mount a h/b unit from a 99-05 super duty to the firewall. I used the 99-05 master cylinder due to rear disc conversion and changed proportioning valve. Front calipers were swapped for calipers off a '79 T-Bird. It was an absolute nightmare getting the p/s system bled and tried numerous tricks to get it done. I ended up grabbing a Mityvac MVA662 Ford Power Steering Bleeder Adapter from amazon and bled the system using that. Also had to take apart the pump and unstick the valve that is located where the pressure hose hooks up to the pump. After fixing the stuck valve (it stuck due to way too much air the system when I first fired it up) and bleeding with a vacuum pump I have not had any issues since. That adapter cap was worth every cent! Thought I would let you know and good luck with your on-going project.

I have the same model. I moved my throttle cable from where it was (about 1.5 inch from pivot point) to the outside by the choke on/off control. I used the same clamp holding the choke cable, conduit to hold my throttle cable, conduit. (Choke on the bottom and the throttle on top) and drilled a hole in the throttle lever (B&S 13.5 hp). I added (not really needed but felt better doing so) a spring from an old lawnmower carb, for a help on return. I now have about 2/3 (instead of 3/4 of a inch) of my control changing the speed and can control the unit better.
