    Finding balance is challenging sometimes, but making it a priority I think is even harder. No one necessarily holds us outwardly accountable for doing things the feed our soul and help us stay balanced. We have to do that solely for ourselves. Work will hold us outwardly accountable, meetings with others, court-ordered obligations, our family or friends even will hold us accountable for showing up or cancelling on them constantly. That is the part I find the most challenging. Being less flexible about making or keeping plans that feed my soul. I think it's cool that you named it. Because I think giving it a "title" sort of helps us take it more seriously as something we NEED to do to maintain our overall health (not just physical health) vs something that we want to do. It's the Cowboy Side Quest! Of course you NEED to go visit the farm frequently! Great example of taking care of your whole health! Great work, Jesse! So glad it is nourishing you!

    I got my dream job doing that at a horse rescue in Texas. Six days a week it was just me & the horses. Miss it every day, even in the freezing rain, up to my knees in mud, & the 100°+ blistering sun, I’d trade the rest of my days for one more week there.

    It’s interesting to me that you did this video as I’m a JCO. This is exactly how we’re taught to do searches that it’s from groin bone to tail bone in what I call a credit card swipe. And we’re supposed to swipe the inside of the groin on both sides as we’re searching the legs. This is to make sure nothing is tucked or hidden. It makes everyone extremely uncomfortable. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with a false algorithm.

    It’s totally inappropriate the way they behave, it happens in other places too. I have a central line in my chest so I can do IV nutrition and I have had people at the courthouse like putting their hands on my chest, not a female, asking me to pull my shirt down far enough to see the line. I had already allows them to search my backpack, which has a little pump in it and an IV full of nutrition. It has medical labels, doctor’s names, phone number to the infusion company, and still I’m told to pull my shot down far enough for them to see and touch. It was horrible. There has to be a better way. I have a friend that was taken in back by TSA because she had a catheter in and they claimed they needed to see it.

At the same time you actually get how others can't. How someone of color could be incarcerated for embezzlement and never be believed. That awareness is, and what you do for the community with that awareness is priceless

    I totally get this. However, a lot of times it is human nature. We are psychologically and physically wired to detect danger and protect ourselves from danger. And I understand that certain things shouldn't be seen as a danger and society has deemed them as dangerous. But if you look back at statistics, certain people who commit crimes look a certain way or act, a certain way or talk a certain way and are psyche is just wired to protect ourselves from that. And I'm not saying you shouldn't give people a chance.However, it's easier to be more swayed to stay away from people like that.And you understood this so you took steps to not look a certain way to not talk a certain way or act a certain way and others have that same choice as well.

    There are alot of varuables here and i some what agree as long as its seprate from race based assumptions, because a lot of people can take "prejudice" at face and value and assume thats the case in relation to that sort of discrimination which is not a good way too look at things especially as nuanced and complicated as arrest and justice system confrontations, im just saying 🤷‍♂️

      An airplane engineer gives an airplane an inspection. He takes a look, says "it doesn't look like it will blow up" and sends it on it's way without looking into it any further That plane's engine explodes and crashes. It is rebuilt and this time doesn't explode. WAS IT INTUITION THAT THE ENGINEER KNEW IT WOULDN'T BLOW UP AFTER IT HAD BEEN REBUILT??? OR WAS IT PREJUDICE BECAUSE HE ASSUMED IT WOULD NEVER BLOW UP BECAUSE IT LOOKED FINE???

    • @MFbingle
      @MFbingle 2 дня назад

      This is prejudice based on appearance, you both aren’t really applying it to anything- APPLICABLE. At the end of the day we don’t (very much Shouldnt.) objectify people’s appearances, rather their actions and words. Just as he put it, with captions. Using an airplane for an analogy isn’t plausible because an engineer CAN LOOK at those problems. We don’t apply this to people in a courtroom otherwise all notions of justice that we currently know might as well be made up and internalized. NO At the end of the day we hate the sin, we love the sinner. laws to prevent transgression, and people who need to be seen for who they are and their crimes finally made sense of before them in a courtroom.

    • @gungle2595
      @gungle2595 2 дня назад

      @@MFbingle it's meant to be a simplified analogy because both the engineer looking at the shell of the plane and looking inside the engine are physically looking, but one is meant to represent deciding at a glance whether they could commit a violent crime and one is meant to represent asking. There's surely a mildly better analogy but I think mine get's the point across

    • @gungle2595
      @gungle2595 День назад

      @@MFbingle I don't know how to get it any simpler, the gist is just that the first comment was silly because you are wrong when you think someone wouldn't do a violent crime because they wouldn't do it a second time. they did it the first time which goes directly against your "intuition". (not you specifically obv)

    I think when I was younger I was guilty of passing judgment on people. As grew up and got more life experience I realized that any human could be one or two bad decision away of finding themselves behind bars. It doesn’t take much, driving drunk and killing someone, make the choice to try frigid like meth and it takes over your life, the list goes on. I’ve worked very hard to remind myself that I don’t know what that person is going through, I’m not going to pass snap judgment, and just going to make the choice to be kind.

    Where my ex husband was they institutional movie channel along with being able to watch regular shows when they had a tv of their own. That movie channel would show all the popular movies out at the time, they would change the movie daily I believe, but he was able to watch stuff that hadn’t even hit the steaming services yet. It was the same problem where he was, the fight over what to watch. He was so grateful when I helped him get a tv because he said he was so done with all the drama. I guess they would all watch the news in the morning and then it would start. A group would want BET another group would want CMT like you said, and for some crazy reason (I’m assuming the butts) a bunch of the guys wanted to watch Keeping up with the Kardashians, and Rachel Ray was a fave in the morning. I can’t imagine having so many different personalities always clashing. One thing that my ex struggled with was how loud it was, he got migraines that triggered seizures. He said that a lot of the older guys and people with long sentences tended to be more respectful towards one another, and it was the younger guys who wouldn’t come in mouthing off and trying to act like they were someone important.

    I don't know how you feel but I believe that anyone who sentences anybody that has a non-"corpus delicti" offense to jail must themselves have spent a minimum of 30 days living under the same conditions. I served my time as a level 2b in maximum security prisons with no prior record and like so many with no injured party, I didn't even have a felony and like too many got railroaded. How do you feel about this? I think our justice system and society would be a lot better if they didn't use a hammer for every person that isn't a nail. Thanks 🙈🙉🙊
