The only time I've ever seen these used in real life, is an old b&w movie called red star. Great vid anyway.

Pity about the horizontal stabilizers having that fabric effect (should be metal skinned) which the Hobbyboss kit was plagued with.

Would you stain the wood deck or was the actual deck that light?

Looks really impressive as a kit Paul, my late dad had a thing for the motorcycles given he used to drive one, so seeing this kit is really fantastic for me to be seeing. I've seen German ww2 motorbikes and sidecars over and over again many times in the great classic war movies, even seen one at a 40s weekend. This looks very well moulded and sculpted so this should be a fantastic piece of art when you complete this. Happy New Year 2025 to you and Sue, stay safe and happy modelling mate 👍

Utterly awesome work Paul, the HMS Exeter is looking like a truly magnificent vessel, the Sea Hawk is looking utterly beautiful and amazing.. and thar Panzer tank looks menacing and fantastic.. like the real thing shrunk down to miniature size. Hope you and Sue had a truly excellent and happy Christmas and a wonderful New year celebration together. I wanted to save this until it was done but I've started an ambitious project of a 1/48 Sukhoi 33 from Kenetic kits, however it's not going to be the same on the box. It's going to be an Ace Combat jet, if you ever fancy a fictional livery change of mind to jet fighter models I highly recommend you look at the liveries for the aircraft of the Ace Combat series - well worth the experiment and VERY fun. It's a fighter of Yellow Squadron - if you want to see what they look like, just type the words into Google and bingo. That motorbike and sidecar looks great, that'd be a fantastic addition indeed. I've just built this model.The undercarriage and "mudguard" installation within is very time consuming to get it right.The rear wheel is also a nightmare to install correctly.Another problem are the landing wheels that simply do not connect correctly and "flap about".My solution was to drill through the wheel supports and install part of a cocktail stick glued in place as an alternative .Cut sanded and painted I believe it better than the original design.Overall not a bad kit but essential to read instructions properly.

Paul, I've been impressed by your small-figures painting abilities. Between my aging eyesight and sometimes my inability to make the hands/fingers do the fine detail work, I suspect that is something that is now beyond me. Beautiful work! Take care and stay safe and well.

Awesome work Paul, that photo-etch work on the HMS Exeter is looking truly excellent, that is true masterful work, I think I'd struggle badly on a 1/350 vessel with that type of etch work, mind you I had fun with the etch on Gneisenau so.. you never know. The work on the Sea Hawk helicopter is looking utterly incredible, personally speaking I think the door being open would look truly excellent. Watching your masterful handiwork has me convinced.. yes.. I'm definitely getting the MH60L Black Hawk next year. The panzer 4 tank is looking great, as are the miniatures for the war games, if your interested in getting involved in tabletop wargames, there's great RUclips channels that show them. You just need to get a good group of troops and some gentlemen of class and some dice, it'd be a good hobby I think. Either way your doing an utterly amazing job, looks really ace.
