Honey Sweetened Banana Pudding with Homemade Vanilla Wafers
Honey Sweetened Banana Pudding
1/3 c organic cornstarch (or at least non GMO)
2 Tbsp plain flour
1/4 tsp salt
3 c milk
1/2 c great quality honey
3 whole eggs OR 5-7 egg yolks
1 Tbsp butter
2 tsp vanilla
Homemade Honey Sweetened Vanilla Wafers
ripe bananas (I used 2 but feel free to overindulge)
In a medium saucepan (ideally with a heavy bottom surface, to prevent scorching) combine the cornstarch, flour and salt. Turn cooktop burner to medium low to begin heating the saucepan. Slowly add a small amount of milk to the flour mixture; just enough to make a liquidy (I made that word up, pretty sure) paste. Mix until all the flour and starch lumps are gone and it’s completely smooth. Add eggs and honey a...

Recipes vary all over the Middle East, but no matter how it's made, it sooooo good! Served with some humus and pita! My recipe was shared by a young Israeli man who runs a little cafe in Costa Rice, so mine is made like he made it. And you are right. It's great for a crowd. why don't you use the fat? fat's flavor! maybe health issues are a concern? incidentally, semolina pasta can be cooked quickly by soaking it first; cooking pasta is a two step process, water absorption and cooking the starch, the former can be accomplished by soaking the pasta in cold water overnight which reduces the starch cooking time significantly, just put the soaked pasta in cold, seasoned water, bring to a boil, boil a couple of minutes more and it's done

@@shesatitagain234 unless I just in the moment have a spontaneous craving for pasta, I always presoak it over night in the fridge; in fact, I've got some in there right now that needs to be drained then stored in an air tight container; boiling dried pasta, particularly the longer varieties like linguini or spaghetti, requires a wide pot so the pasta ends that extend beyond the edge of the pot don't burn; presoaked pasta is soft so fits easily into even a small pot, needs much less water, just enough to cover the pasta, and cooks much faster; I learned this technique from J. Loved this video and the way you tell exactly how to make the dough and put the pizza together…especially the info about the 2 cheeses. Thank you!!

Great video but then you lost me when you scraped the toppings out from under your fingernails and wiped them on the dough.

@@SunshineSkully Ha! I can see there that might make one question my reputation. Let me assure you, before I start preparing ANYTHING I make sure my hands ( under my nails, and my wrists too) are clean and ready to roll. I used to be an orthodontic assistant and I’m all too aware of germs and how to clean your hands to avoid contamination. But I’m glad you have a sharp eye and caught that! People like you and myself are the ones who are afraid to eat in restaurants; I’ve seen enough and I’m just too scared. 😄. Sorry I lost ya! Maybe you can just watch my videos with gardening hacks or art projects. 😂

If your object was to make a video where people watched you, and listened to you, then you succeeded. You might notice that the most successful food videos concentrate on the food. 28 minutes is awfully long for what you're doing.

@@pudnbug my object is to show new recipes that are better choices but thank you for your comment. I’d love to condense many of these videos but then I get people asking “WHY SO SHORT?!”. Sorry it’s too long for you but there’s always a recipe in the description you can hop over to if you’d rather.

I sure did ENJOY and LEARN from your video here! You made it look simple enough for me to try making one from scratch. I have never made pizza dough but going to try your method…and I have some dish towels just like that I found on Amazon.
