@@antipsikiyatriKizi I’m about to drink my glass now (just like I do every day)! Thanks for watching.
@@shesatitagain234 I'm following suit. It's certainly too delicious ☕💗
One of my favorite dishes. My recipe is a little different than yours, and has only tomato, onion, green pepper, garlic and cumin and of course salt and pepper to taste. Recipes vary all over the Middle East, but no matter how it's made, it sooooo good! Served with some humus and pita! My recipe was shared by a young Israeli man who runs a little cafe in Costa Rice, so mine is made like he made it. And you are right. It's great for a crowd. I assembled the whole thing, and then added the eggs after my guests arrived and it baked while we chatted. .
@@MHarenArt ooh yeah, hummus would be a great accompaniment to it! Don’t you agree it kinda looks disgusting BUT it’s just so stinkin good?!
Friends….you will be SHOCKED at how delicious this is. Lemme know what you think after you try it!
Great idea! Thanks for sharing! Please make one extra to cut open for the big TaDAAA!
@@karenbrooks-z7w oh SHOOT! I should have! Great idea!
Thanks for the recipe! Was searching high and low for clean breakfast sausage without breaking my grocery budget. Have been slowly removing highly processed foods from my family’s diet. I always had stomach issues eating breakfast sausage but now I’m thinking it was MSG all along 😅
Are so welcome! I think this will be exactly what you’ve been searching for AND the bonus of the fact that there’s such minimal waste (because the marketable sausage in stores has SO much fat incorporated into them, which equals higher profit margin). You’ll be searching out more recipes which use Saudi sage now that you’ve found this….so feel free to check out my other videos like Sausage Cheddar Muffins, Sausage Sauerkraut Casserole, and others. Enjoy!
I love this!
@@sarahjanec1085 it’s pretty delicious!
Yumm!!! I am going to try this.
This looks fabulous! Can this recipe be canned and made shelf stable? Thank you for sharing this!
@@Bee_Thankful great question! Since I’m not a seasoned canner I just do not know the answer. Because it has ingredients in it that are questionable as far as the canning world goes (from what I’ve heard), it would be worth researching. I’d love to know if you find out the answer and maybe it would be of benefit to others!
That was informative. I would have thought the flower needed to be drier almost dead for the seed to be mature enough. And , I would have thought the cone center contained the seed dah. So glad I watched this. I was thinking you were shipping seeds out to followers is what drew me in :) No worries, I'm going to know how to save seed for the next season!
@@madmecyr best comment ever! And THIS is why we have this channel; simply for information to help! I will gladly share my seeds with you but if you have some zinnias growing now then you likely will have plenty of seeds for next season. I sat on the patio yesterday deseeding some dried flowers and I’m sure I did at least a gallon of seeds. It’s crazy how many we think of that we’ve discarded in the past when we could have saved them. Have a fabulous day!
Did not know how beneficial it was to soak oats before consuming, thank you
@@TritónSeaShips you’re so welcome! We NEVER did that when I was younger but, if nothing else, it cooks faster! Enjoy!

@@melissajonas3263 thanks! That thing gets used A LOT!
Wouldn't using raw honey still be better since you wouldn't be cooking as much as the benefits out of it? If not, there has to be a way of cooking to at least keep some benefits.
@@LaceyHayward it’s always an option to use it; I just felt like I was being a better steward of my resources because of the heat. If you have raw honey in abundance then by all means, yes, use that.

@@isof1341 ooh it IS so good! It made enough to fill that large bowl but none went to waste. We shared with friends and finished it off; I wasn’t even upset when there were leftovers for me to enjoy! I hope you enjoy it as much!
why don't you use the fat? fat's flavor! maybe health issues are a concern? incidentally, semolina pasta can be cooked quickly by soaking it first; cooking pasta is a two step process, water absorption and cooking the starch, the former can be accomplished by soaking the pasta in cold water overnight which reduces the starch cooking time significantly, just put the soaked pasta in cold, seasoned water, bring to a boil, boil a couple of minutes more and it's done
@@johnHofweber great question AND great information; thank you! Honestly, if this were grass fed/grass finished organic beef, id just stir that fat right on in there BUT it wasn’t. 🙁. We are limited here on the variety of beef cuts we can purchase in GREAT QUALITY beef. I’m grateful for what I can find but the fat on that wasn’t high on my priority list to mix in. I’ve never heard of anybody soaking their pasta but that’s super helpful! I sometimes make my pasta fresh but not the tube kind. Thanks for your comments and I hope you’re enjoying our content. 😊
@@shesatitagain234 unless I just in the moment have a spontaneous craving for pasta, I always presoak it over night in the fridge; in fact, I've got some in there right now that needs to be drained then stored in an air tight container; boiling dried pasta, particularly the longer varieties like linguini or spaghetti, requires a wide pot so the pasta ends that extend beyond the edge of the pot don't burn; presoaked pasta is soft so fits easily into even a small pot, needs much less water, just enough to cover the pasta, and cooks much faster; I learned this technique from J. Kenjy Lopez-Alt, a prolific and very inventive food writer who I think is worth consulting now and then
@@johnHofweber great info! I would have thought it would turn into wallpaper paste if left to soak. 😄. I’ll have to try that!

@@gloskindredkitchen5305 hey WELCOME and thanks for the comment! You’re correct on all three areas; it is EASY, HEALTHY and DELICIOUS! With very few exceptions, you’ll find that almost all my recipes are what I call BETTER CHOICES as far as being better than so many other options we have in our diets and yes, I do try to make as many things from scratch as I possibly can. Hi there, your channel showed up on my feed. Glad it did 😊. My mother made her rice in the oven and so do I. I agree, it is the best way. We call it oven rice too. Thank you for sharing😊❤🥰
Mine were burnt in oven at 10 minutes. I am not sure what went wrong, any thoughts? Have you made any further tweaks to the recipe since you posted this?
Ah man, that stinks! I’m so sorry! I’ve never had mine burn at all but then I always have my baking rack in the middle to lower middle position. I’m always tinkering with my saltines recipe (including oyster crackers); recently been using my sourdough discard to make them. I’d say reduce the temp in your oven and make SURE you’re using a shiny baking pan (not a dark metal baking pan; those are not good for baking many things I can think of). I hope this helps! If you come up with a better resolve I’d love to hear about it. Sorry the first batch was ruined (I hate waste)!

In Sweden, we usually pan fry potato to make "pyttipanna" ("small pieces in pan"). Traditionally with sausage, or minced meat, of course with onion, or whatever we have left from earlier. It is free-styling. I will incorporate this technique.
@@marna_li I bet it is delicious as well! Love the name of it (even though I’m SURE I’d pronounce it incorrectly 🤭)!
@@shesatitagain234 Haha. It has nothing to do with that. The "y" in Swedish is hard to describe. It is more like "y" at the end of the name "Terry". Rounded lips. "Pyttipanna" is often also traditionally accompanied by a fried egg and some pickles (usually red beets or cucumber). But you can also stew the "pytt" in cream sauce. Spice it up, seasoning it the way you want.
