Remember how you needed to use a channel lock plier to loosen the filter because you could not loosen it by hand? Yeah, that's how tight it should be. Get the correct oil filter socket that perfectly fits the end of filter, which is why it has flats, (like $8) at any auto parts store, just snug the filter by hand, then go additional 2/3rd of a turn with wrench as instructed! I do my own valve clearance checks and oil changes and have 20,500 miles on. Oil capacity is 3+ quarts, but I've found it takes only about 2.5 at changes. You will love that socket!!!!! Enjoy :)

I used to use rockbox as a kid, can report its beyond solid. If anything it makes transferring files way easier because computers just read it like a usb hard drive. ✌️

One is hand made, resolable, repairable, and made to last decades. The other is cheap, glued together, might last a few years at best. Not comparable at all

I stopped using iFlash Quads because it was unreliable. I started using mSATA boards because it was cheaper and was less problematic. I highly recommend those. I used to get 2TB cards for $109 for the whole board for the iPod.

sounds like head gasket seal leak or pcv issue. you did spark plug and coil maintenance already. throttle body cleaning and mass airflow and oxygen sensor was cleaned already too you said right? have you inspected the cylinders and checked your fuel injectors? only other thing I can think of is would be egr issue. also the adhesive you need is red or black rtv adhesive. stuff is cheap. 10 bucks a big tube. one last thing I would try is cleaning the wiring connectors with some QD spray then throw on some die electric on all the harnesses. it's a fairly old car so every little tweak at this point counts.

Just did one of these mods with 7th generation classic with iquad flash using 1tb samsung Evo. Using Rockbox exclusively bypasses storage limitation, also flac works. You can get themes that simulate the stock os. Putting music on is drag and drop.😊

in toddays economy especially here in southern cali, these margins are extremely important, especially since 80-90% of the population here lived paycheck to paycheck. An example. i dont have gas left and i have two more days till payday. Okay it takes around 16 gallons to fill up my tank. Current price at sams club 3.77$ . i use $60.32 i only had 67$ in my bank account. Shit i'm hungry, 7$ can get me thru today and tmr. A couple soups, maybe even a mcchicken. and with the mcdonalds app free fries? its crazy out here but even 7$ can get you far

I've had mine for about 5 months and despite being hesitant about bringing outdoors out of fear of permanently losing the eraser head (since it was coming off) for a couple weeks it's been everywhere with me, dropped on numerous surfaces without deforming, used it to cut or pierce in a pinch and it's just generally been fun to hold and fiddle with. It's occasionally useful to write with when a proper pen is lacking. On the whole it's a solid investment on my end, 10/10.

I also have never waited that long at costco. They open at 5:30 am and there is no one is there. I want to say the longest I have waited is 10 min.

Great video. Made me as a Gen-X search for an iPod Classic with the goal to "disconnect" from the online life now and then. BTW, 30GB has 32MB of RAM, 60GB+ has 64MB. If you start with 2x 512GB memory and you run out, can you just add 2 formatted memory cards and they will be recognized or do you have to reformat?

your claim of requiring an internet connection to use itunes content is invalid, i've been using iTunes since 2004 and have always been able to burn purchased music to cd, I've been freely able to convert between formats to compress down original files etc, point is, offline itunes usage is fact.

Yes the costco gas is cheaper but the car doesnt feel like it has as much power and fuel economy is worse. When you go to bp or shell the power is back and the fuel economy is 2 to 3 mpg higher so is that cheaper gas really worth it? No your spending the same money its just slide of hand

The 7th gen is the best to modify because it has the maximum amount of ram. Dankpods shows why it is and shuffle works the best for those who love using that feature. 512GB is the sweet spot for it but it will go to a terabyte. This is what I did with mine but I also don’t use modified audio. The majority of all my music is iTunes purchased and imported from disc using Losless. So it works for me being somewhat of an audiophile but not too anal of one. As long as it sounds clear and not muffled, or not low quality I can be easily satisfied.

Nice video.. looking into getting a (probably pre made to save time) 5.5 gen 256gb to most likely run Rockbox to run flacs and wavs. I hear with the 5.5s the higher storage boards had more ram which helps stuttering on the larger uncompressed files. I do alot with music, running a sound system and having made music and DJ'd for years now.. it would be nice to have something to refresh listening to all kinds of music away from a streaming service (of which i now pay for none)

I had a Gen 3 with the 4 Buttons atop of the Click Wheel, a Gen 4, Gen 4 Photo, and 2 Gen 5/Video Now called Classics. I really want another one, I sold mine years back when I was P00r, I cant stand listening to Music on my phone. The iPod was Glorious, I Also had to 1st Gen Dell DJs, They were Awesome, I have 2 non-working Gen 2's still, but they aren't as nice

I think you are missing this boot’s capability as a hiker. There are some hunters and guides using these in the mountains for archery elk. Definitely a solid boot for hiking. Wouldn’t take it into the high mountains but there is no boot that can do absolutely everything.
