Very nice. Like those bars. I’ve gone alt bars also on my 26 inch former MTB converted to commuter road bike. Those are 700c road carbon forks right? What’s the brand? I searched high and low a couple years back for carbon forks with a disk brake mount, no joy, all I could find was 700c road bike forks with no disc caliper mounts, and no fender or rack eyelets.

Love love this bike. I’m a big old school GT fan and the carbon fork really makes this bike. Love to see old MTBs get a “modern restoration”. Keep up the great work!😊

Glad it already fell, now you have the excuse to not treat her with silk gloves anymore ;) Jokes aside, the frame looked awesome, with all these new components I would have mistaken that for a brand new one

Great build! I wasn't a fan of 2000s MTB frames because of the look, but some of these GT frames from that time are not bad at all. Maybe an alternative for new resto mods, because good, affordable vintage bikes from the 90s are slowly becoming scarce in my area (Germany).

You could convert 28" hybrid to affordable gravel bike (handlebars + shifters)

Nice build. I put a suspension corrected rigid steel fork on a 26er build myself and after several months I really don't notice the axle to crown length.

Buddy just GAVE Ha me for 30 gave him 40 cuz met me at a wallys exact in blue exact condition. Hope its big enough tires were flat so couldn't test but Im 55 keeping it low key rides

jai une fourche rockshox judy sl de 1996 vous la connaissez ? je crois qu'il ya une cartouche a huile qui sers a régler le rebond . je crois que les cartouche sont sceller ? si c'est le cas je peux utiliser la fourche rien que en changeant les élastomères ? je pourrai pas régler le rebond juste c'est sa ? la fourche devrai fonctionner comme une fourche a élastomère simple non ? merci

The finished product is awesome as well! I haven't yet but I just might experiment with the 1x9 or 10 conversion. Still a hard no as far as the forks are concerned. For me, it would go from awesome to absolutely mesmerizing with rigid forks instead. Still love it though. Keep up the good work. I greatly enjoy watching and learning.❤️🙏🏾

I'm a rigid fork guy though. I've never been a fan of any suspension anywhere on my bikes. Hard-Tail Rigid lover for life!😁

MAN! I'd LOVE to have this RockHopper AS IS! I've got 2 but they're both MUCH smaller. 17 inch frames. I've also got 2 HUGE GT's, about this size, that I absolutely adore. I'd give up BOTH of my RockHoppers for this one. Absolutely stunning bike in my opinion. I appreciate your work and content. Please, by all means, continue.❤️🙏🏾

I bought a stumpjumper comp new with that xtr roady shifter! It felt on another level from my previous bike. I used it for years, then threw it away like an idiot. This video genuinely took me back to that bike. happy days.

In addition to the semi-incompatible cross-branding freewheel, I believe the S-1 requires a full 1.5x wind of cable to magnify pull….i think

That turned out really nice! I don't know why, but I've always wanted to do an orange dropbar restoration with brown walls. It has a great look to it.

Some use Red and tacky grease on the coaster brakes.
