I honestly wish they’d bring back Game Guy’s space. Mostly because I watched a stream of some friends playing 3, and one of them ended up repeatedly gambling on the 50/50 chest mini game and won like 300 coins, and I’ve been chasing the high of watching him win that since.

The lucky spaces in 8 vs in Superstars are about as different as left and right. They have the same name, but the design is completely different, one being blue with a clover and the other gold with a music note, and one nets you a star in the next one or two turns, while the other can give an item or a few coins. They really should have been ranked separately

This video really opened my eyes to which spaces are bad and which are good, basically the bad ones are the single player ones where you watch someone else play a minigame for themself whereas the spaces that involve everyone are engaging because there’s usually something to gain or lose depending on how well you did, then there’s funny quirky spaces like the Mushroom Space where you can roll another dice in the same turn or be a sitting duck for next turn, Game Guy which forces you to gamble and if you win, you win big, lose and you lose everything. They could bring back DK spaces in the form of Funky Kong, that would so sick!

But in the original you don't have to not warp to get the 8 stars to get A through D levels, you only have to not warp to get to World 9!! You CAN essentially beat worlds 1 through 8 without not warping… Also, arigatou is Japanese for "Thank You!"… I knew that though even back when "All-Stars" came out originally… and I mean back then I knew what Arigatou meant, not about the Famicom Disk System version 8 plays requirements, I know that because I have the OG Famicom Disk System and I beaten it completely…

I have never deliberately landed on a Battle Space in my life and usually go out of my way to avoid them.

How about a quick list of best spaces you can't land on? Shops, Boo, Bowser in some maps, Star spaces, things like that

A small correction, but in Mario Party Superstars, beginning in the latter half of the board, Bowser Spaces can actually take stars from you. Because it's at a time where there isn't much time left, that actually raises the stakes even higher. So I disagree on the front that Bowser can't take stars from you in Superstars.

I will not tolerate this Mario Party 7 slander. That said, great video on an underappreciated topic! I have recently been playing Mario Party 3 and i can see the Battle space spam being a little unhinged. I do like that the Gamecube entries from 5 onward made it random as it made battles feel really special, but they're almost a bit too rare. I wish there were some sort of middle ground
