Decathlon Speedsuit/Aerosuit: Incredibly Good Value for Money
Origninally I thought speedsuits are only for very andvanced cyclist, who need every little aero gain they can get.
However, for me as a very mediocre cyclist the Decathlon speedsuit is a very comfortable outfit for not a huge amount of money.

    I must alway remove air from my tires. Ok maybe 25 mm tires could be fit but 28 mm + no chance. I have the same brakes they are awesome. I think the better stiff/strong brake performance comes from the solid built. All parts are cnc machined....

    I bought a used Nuroad Race FE 2021 last year, and here's the results: The bike that I have looks exactly like the one in the video. The guy I bought it from almost didn't ride it at all because of COVID, so it arrived in pristine, almost brand new condition. It didn't come with the mudguards or the pannier carrier, but I didn't even need it since I wanted to make it more sportier. For now, I put Deore XT flat/SPD pedals, and new handlebar tapes. Everything else works just fine. Since I like to have space for supplements, water and other equipment, I have put a small bag above the top tube, just behind the stem, and a very large, custom made bag below the top tube, going from the head tube all the way to the seat tube, and because I ordered it custom for my bike, the shape fits perfectly. As for the groupset, my bike comes with the GRX 8000 series, which works perfectly. I am honestly not sure if the brakes are mechanical or hydraulic, but I think they're hydraulic. The only thing I might not be very happy with are the brakes. The GRX disc brakes are pretty good by all means, but for my style of riding, they are slacking a bit too much. When I pull the brake lever, it feels like they are engaged for only about 70%, it feels like they can brake more. It might be the fact that both I, and the previous owner, have never done a brake bleed, but I still think thst they can do better. I am considering going for stronger brakes. I've driven a Gran Fondo, and the bike performed better than I expected in every way possible. I am planning on attending a gravel race soon, and I think it'll all be okay. Overall: 10/10 bike, I absolutely love it. There are small issues with the brakes being underpowered, but It's really nothing serious. Both beginner and pro friendly, I think it can pair some of the best gravel bikes on the market, but only with slight personal adjustments.

    Try slackening your cable adjusters to open the brake arms thereby allowing you to remove the tyre. This works on my road bike with rim brakes (Shimano BR 650s) and 32 mm tyres. It’s easy enough to re-adjust the pad/rim clearance using the large adjustment screw once you have re-installed the wheel. Good video! Cheers.

My non crank pannier interferes with the brake disk when empty. With items in it is fine. Crank side pannier also rests on the derailleur. 3. I like the hub dynamo and the always on lights. 4. Mechanical brakes are not great. still looking for a solution to this. Might upgrade to C550 dual calipers

    This bike was really easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.

  • @sb9e
    @sb9e Год назад

    I’m enjoying the bike so far ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.

    I purchased this bike in the middle of covid times. In the shop, they promised it was super high quality, and after 2 years of riding, I'm super disappointed... 1.8k€ for such a low quality... multiple reparations of the shifting mechanism for gears, brakes, unscrewed bolts lost during the rides, not enough space between the tyres and the mudguards, so a lot of muddy stocks there, narrow wheels (impossible to go for wider ones and forget about to take more gravelish tracks)... it's like a gravel bike that wants to be touring and commuting and the same time a bit of racing...at the end , it's nothing of that...

      I have the feeling the bike IS rather good component wise, but indeed both me and my colleague ( '23 and '22 model respectably ) have encountered stripped seatpost bolts and loosening bolts from the mudguards. Quality controll is lacking que ( I think ) long wait times during and post covid. I had to wait 18 months to get mine. Function-wise the bike performs well in Flanders.

I didnt care if it was "cheap" for the quality, I just dont think that worth the investmente when for just a little more money you can get much higher and better assembled bike on a more reputable brand. The bottom bracket is very low quality, the cubes also and the brakes are very poor. The assembly of the bike is horrible, I´ve had to disassembly almost everything and mount almost every piece again... the cubes were so tight from factory that the wheels almost didn´t spin... All the other bolts torques were so loose that for a normal consumer would probably have an acident because of how loose they were. I do not recommend this bike and brand. The only positive points of this bike is the frame and the microshift, which are good, but the rest is garbage.
