To be fair, in the restaurant industry, there are tons of managers mhch younger that the crew workers, and Ive had like 5 managers younger than me already. Plus when I resume collehe, wome teachers will be younger than me too.

Glover Texeira win a UFC title at 42, ao you can definitely join theilutary after 30, and be successful. This is why theyve increased age limits. Interestingly, Glover win LHW title at 42. Whats the new age limit for Mavy and AF? 42. Coincidence.

I joined in the summer of 1998. At the age of 23, I was middle aged. Everybody was 18. We had some 30 somethings as well. We had one soldier that was 29, going on his third time trying to join the military. He got kicked out of the navy for punching an officer. For grabbing his tushie. He then got kicked out of the army cause his recruiter hid his navy discharge. When I met him he was squared away, but suffered an injury. He went to rehab. When you are over 21, you are seen as old. But you may buy beer.

Tried for full active back in 08 but the recruiter wasn't thrilled about my age so he suggested the reserve. So I joined the ARNG at 32 19K, did OSUT at FT Knox. Then at age 34 did a tour in Iraq OIF 09-10. So hats off to you Victor and to all who are joining later in life. It's a challenge but it's a honor to become a soldier and being at veteran. Remember only 1% of the population signs that dotted line. God bless USA and for anyone joining later in life.

I'm loving all these comments of people joining in their 30+. The only con I'm seeing is having to deal with younger minds. In which case I feel younger minds have new thoughts and Ideas as a tradeoff. I'd do anything to protect my younger soldiers. Protect the Future 🫡

I’ve always regretted not giving my service to our country. I’m 30 and know there is still time to. How do I take the jump? Push myself to follow through? It’s something that’s been growing on my mind and heart.

You just have to dig really deep for your reason. It’s like jumping off a building, with birds flying by, and a few people that will jump with you fall, the ground is there and you determine what it’s made of. If you’re going to do it, you’ve got to be ready to commit, it’s nonstop for 2-4 years at least. It will be the most mentally challenging, life changing, amazing, and memorable thing you’ll ever do.

If you told your recruiter about old arrests and gave him paperwork but everything was expunged and sealed and it didn’t come up on their background check . So I don’t think he said anything to big army about them. Will they find it once I’m in especially if i need a security clearance ever ?

Returning to say thank you. I am 31 and was laying in bed not sure where my life is going and am a single dad in an expensive city. I found your video first when I was wondering about 30+ joining. I did wildland firefighting and do cross fit so I feel I'm in better shape then I was when I was 18. My crew boss fighting fire was retired special forces so he trained us in a way that he did or learned in the forces. Today I feel I am better equipped for the military mentally and physically. My reason joining was for a house for my daughter. Now I see I can get even better career, set my daughter up for better opportunities and show her what a good man is.
