Thank You Chris. I started texting a reason why l was taking a break on the group but kept deleting it because it kept sounding fake and like a garbage excuse to leave. Once things calm down l may come back on social media. Right now l just really dont like the providers forcing a narrative , and then if you dont agree with that narrative you are censored, reported or cancelled. Feels like something from cold war russia to me. Something is not right in 2024. And l cant be a part of that. Maybe if some common sense comes back to the G7 l will..the inflation and economy have to be looked after first. D.e.i. is fine...but without an economy or money there will be no working class societies anymore. Just poor countries. That is totally the beginning of the end. Yes, l will get better, and you stay strong! Yo Joe!

Yes, I am recovering health wise. Walking more and more each day until top strength I hope! Thank you for asking Goji. I am putting out a video tonight explaining why I left Insta. It was not making me feel good. I didn't agree with so many things the provider was forcing to see, censored when I went against their narrative and I think there is way to much going on in America/Canada that is not cool and it is hard for me to not say anything...and if I do, I feel like I am often pigeon holed into someone dumb or an extremist. Which I am not. Anyway, yeah. we can communicate through comments on here or maybe once things cool off I will come back on social media.

Its now mid July, over 90° outside and I am missing the snow months. Time to revisit this great video and pretend I'm back at the G.I. Joe "winter outpost" as the original Polar Battle Bear commercial called it.
The OG13 never gets old. Everytime I see them on a video it takes me straight back to that first year. The Night Raven opening was rad!

Joes was my first addiction 😂 unfortunately I didn't earn allowance until 1986 so the 83-85 Joes was like unreachable treasures I couldn't find anywhere. Thrift Stores and Yardsales was my best bet and I actually did find a few and I treated them like holy grails. I didn't find out that they was still available for a few years until the late 90s. I was devastated because I remember being 6 and begging my Mom to call Hasbro and ask if the had a Shipwreck or Firefly laying around. Now it's 2024 and I'm trying to start collecting these pieces of gold from my youth. I have about 20 figures but the stars still elude me because unfortunately I'm half way blind and my ability to earn money is really small scale and I'd never make enough for my Mount Rushmore of Joes: SHIPWRECK SPIRIT STORMSHADOW ZARTAN but watching your video sure brings me joy. Thank you

My favorite feature of this was the pack and how it all broke down to be carried in it. I thought that was so cool. When I was in high school I went windsurfing and you better believe I was thinking of the MANTA while I was on it! Great video, Dave C.

Hi Dave C, hope you are doing well. I wanted a MANTA when I was a kid. I remember seeing it in the mail away pamphlet but for whatever reason I never got one. Which is weird because I had a swimming pool in my backyard and I tended to get a lot of water related Joe stuff. Thanks for posting.

My parents weren't rich, but they really hooked me up with Joe stuff when I was a kid. I didn't get the Flagg though, lol.

I recently got this version of Sgt. Slaughter to have all 4 versions of him. The Warthog is very cool. I wasn't playing with joes in 88 anymore but I remember seeing it back then and saying Joes are still cool. lol.
I still need the 89 marauders one. Yes 1988 was still kick ass - l remember my mom saying l was too old for gi.joes now 😅.. by 1990 at 15 l had bought my last one. I like how you still thought they were cool in 88. What was your last year ? 1987?
With the 80s army green vehicles you can't go wrong. Enjoyed the size comparisons at the start seeing all those Gijoe beauties next to each other and to find that photo with the Whale is always priceless.

That sucks. I had a similar thing happen with the 1982 membership fan club send away. We did not recieve anything for 8 months , my dad was ticked. 4 months later we finally got something in the mail. I think Hasbro really under estimated the popularity/supply of these mail aways. As a young'n, I remember sending away for the hooded Commander. I was hurt and angry because it never showed up after weeks and months of excitement. Reached out to the company. They did not care. They, probably, couldn't have fixed it if they wanted to. It was limited. Man, that burned deep. lol I was SO bent.
