Love seeing people discover Linda Ronstadt now! Subbed to see more of your reactions! She was one of my dad’s favorite singers and I don’t recall a time when I wasn’t hearing her beautiful, powerful voice. My parents even had recording a of me singing “White Rhythm and Blues” when I was maybe 4(?) 😂 I think her catalogue would be fun for you to dive into, as a quick look at your videos suggests you appreciate many different types of music. She has sung ‘70’s rock to pop ballads, latin music to light opera, and more. Some of my favorite songs by her are “Prisoner in Disguise”, “You’re No Good”, “Desperado”, “Somewhere Out There”… Sadly, she does not perform anymore due to a degenerative disease she has.

Louis Johnson aka Thunder Thumbs was 70s/80s bass innovator, along with Larry Graham and Marcus Miller. He's the bassist on Get On The Floor (great ear). The artists are literally Louis and brother George aka Lightning Licks. I'm not sure whether they had a set band membership. They got their start as session musicians with Quincy Jones, who helped transition them as recording artists. I'll Be Good To You, Get The Funk Out Of My Face, Blam, Ride-O-Rocket, Strawberry Letter 23, Q, Love Is. Like most songs back then, I first heard it on the radio. I believe it was a summer song and was blasted everywhere. BTW, the clear, distinctive voice in the background is Barry White. Quincy's classic r&b albums, Body Heat, Stuff Like That & The Dude, are basically collections of the baddest musicians around. You should explore those albums.

Just subscribed. I like your style. Way better than most reactors. You talk about the music construction, lyrics and emotional response concisely. Music is a bit too low. Try turning it up a notch or two. Zep reactions drew me in. Your style kept me on board. Led Zep favorite band since heard them when 16 in 1973. Led Zeppelin’s catalog is so deep, hard to know what to request: blues do When the Levee Breaks, softer side the beautiful Rain Song, personal favorite In the Light, is progressive. Love your reactions!

Although Billy did not serve in Vietnam, many of his friends did, and asked BJ to write a song about it. He was reluctant to write such a song, not wanting to step on the valor of the vets that did fight and die in the biggest event in our world during the 60s and early 70s. I hope that no American youth ever has to fight in an "elective" war again, to be sacrificed for an unnecessary conflict that America should never have been involved in.

Their first album was financed by Jimmy Page and took 36 hours to complete. All four were in tbeir early 20s. Album 1 was perfection and the others that followed as good and netter. They are and forever will be the greatest band ever.

Also I remember hearing the song by Led Zepp " In My Time of Dyin " during my drug years and made me think about death and Jesus. Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and a good question to ask yourself if you were to die today would you go to heaven ? And if yes why ? To find out more please read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on RUclips. 😀

You know, I've never heard anyone say a bad word about this song. It just invites you in and it's glorious. Brad Delp was the lead singer. Amazing voice. Sadly, he suffered from depression, and eventually he took his own life. Such a loss. Another thing: everyone who knew him said he was a great person: friendly, kind, gentle, down to earth, a regular guy and a great neighbor (for example, helping people mow their lawns). When he died, the band's website said "We just lost the nicest guy in rock and roll."

I hope you decide to dive deeper into Led Zeppelin, every song of so many genres are amazing. They always give their music love & passion, they really love/loved what they were doing. Yes they made a lot of money, really they deserved even more then they actually got. They achieved fame so quick, quicker then they or anyone really expected, but because they were the greatest. They toured so much,& were selling out stadiums everywhere, sometimes needing to add an extra day to a city. They’ve written several masterpieces, it’s hard to pick your favorite Led Zeppelin song, for most it’s which ever one you’re listening to. Thank you for your reaction, I hope to see many more Led Zeppelin reactions from you.

Love this song, glad that you enjoyed it! This is from their 1975 Earls Court concert. They did a 3-song acoustic set, the other two being "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" and "That's the Way", also terrific. Oh, that's a mandolin, not a banjo, that Jones was playing. Best rock band in history, imo. You can't go wrong going down that rabbit hole. :) Band members: Jimmy Page - guitarist, producer Robert Plant - vocalist, lyricist John Paul Jones - bass, keys John Bonham - drummer/percussion Edit: The drummer was there, just didn't play during this particular song.

Page and Jones can both play a variety of instruments but the ones I listed are the ones they played as their main function in the band. Edit: If we listed every instrument each of them can play, it would be quite long. Very talented musicians! :)
