There is no mention of opening the blue lock that keeps the cartridge in place. Had to go to Canon for that small, but important detail. Pop the blue switch UP before removing old cartridge, down to lock new new cartridge.

Great tips. Especially taking your bike in for a check over. I have had great luck so far with the tubeless set up. However, I have not had much luck with getting those mondo tires on and off. It takes a special kind of person and tools to do it. Good luck with those tires and your ride. Century rides are a great accomplishment, especially solo.

What was the first software you used? And did you take photos as raw file or jpeg?

You got this, I did my first organized century in my late 50's a year after recovering from cancer. The only thing I would say is you should have probably done one on your own just to get it out of your head. That same year I did three organized century's and the next year I did the STP which is Seattle to Portland, 202. miles over two days. We are constantly amazed at what we can do if we put our minds to it. Good luck! and reminder it's just a hill get over it

I would very much like to get into astro photography in the UK and I came across your video. Very well paced, clear, not tech heavy and well spoken. Subscribed. I’m hoping to get a Lumix S5ii in the January sales (I know it’s a hybrid camera but that suits me) then get out into the darkness. Do you have any videos for simpletons on editing? I don’t want to spend hours editing and I like that the LUMIX allows in camera LUTS as for just social media and my own prints, I don’t require hours of complex editing. That would be great! Great video! Thanks! I have had my Pro-1000 for about 4 months now and the only thing driving me crazy is the ink. When should you put a new cartridge in? When the exclamation mark pops up? It seems like there is a lot of life left when this comes on. If you are in the middle of a print and a cartridge runs out of ink, what happens? I for the life of me I cannot find an answer to this. I kinda got the feeling from one video that I watched that the exclamation turns to a red X and the printer stops so you can change the cartridge. Does anyone know if that is the case? I have a BIG pano that I want to print but am afraid to go with it but don't want to just change cartridges if I don't need to. Like I said... this is the only thing that is causing me heartburn!! 😁😁😁

In yr 4x6 example how did you calculate the cost of ink per sheet? Ie vol of ink used per sheet? hence cost per sheet. If volume of ink is based on area sheet. This assumes equal colour usage which isn’t so. If the 4x6 print has a height of ink 0.75mm I can get your number. I assume it is a number provided by cannon? Those pics at 4:10, with the clouds of stars...are those views visible to the naked eye, or did your high tech camera capture them? I'll be at Big Bend NP in a week, and look forward to seeing the night sky there.

Thank you for the solution! As for your scuff from the Q2 drop, here is what I do when the inevitable edge abrasion happens. Use a 7 way nail buffer. It will smooth the sharp edges and depending on how deep the scuff is, you can get it pretty good looking. You’ll have a bright edge, but it’s smoothed.

4x6 prints cost 8 Cent per piece her in germany. It is not comparable in quality which you can achieve with a canon printer if you print it with good paper. Thats two different things...

How do you find out how much ink it costs to do a print? We got a PRO 300, and the software doesn't estimate any usage (unlike other printers or so we've heard).

How do you expose for the 600 images you took? looks like the first images were dark, but when you stacked all 600 images the final result was alot brighter?

That Milky Way photograph might be the best photograph I've ever witnessed in my entire life. If anyone is giving you a hard time about that image, they are jealous. Also thank you so much for this video, it's incredibly informative
