I sold off my bionicle collection in 2017, but in the past 2 years i have been buying it back, sometimes at three or four times the price. Lesson learned: you boyght it for a reason, you wanted it once and you will wamt it again. Dont sell, gove it to a friend to take care of or leave it at your parents place. Selling can be a huge mistake

I want to read, not collect, so the best start would be IDW Collection? I want to start from the black and white ones.

I struggled with more than just the addiction, I have the spiritual side of it in mind but still I can relate to all that. Life became so comfortable that it just became easy to put on our focus on things that we normally wouldn't.

Usually when a company is charging more, than others it's bc of the accessories. There's S7 ultimates thundercats that's $35.00 it's bc they took out a lot of accessories. Also put them on card.

I hope we get Venus in the toon line. I liked her back in the day. Venus was in a live action series or the crossover episode with the MMPR. And the action figure of course. I'm probably in the minority of fans who liked her. There's a reason, why? we haven't gotten any, Venus figures or Venus added to any other TMNT media since then. At least to my knowledge.

My favorite, thing about the original cartoon, is they were aware they were a cartoon. Breaking the fourth wall, talking to us. Or just straight up, using words like episode or series.

I get it. There's figures for, various reasons I didn't get till, after the original release date. I just bought Leonardo vs Shredder two pack. Even though they released in 2019, I'm counting the cartoon Shredder as my top figure of 2024. I know Neca is releasing, a shredder in the ultimates line, however I don't have that one yet. I like the cameo your cat made.

I believe the reason why Neca call them pizza club is legal reasons. Bc they don't have the rights to use the burger king name. If they got the, right to use the name, I'm sure it would be super expensive. Idk what season those punk heads were in, the only episode they were in was an episode that only aired in the U.K. for some reason. I never heard of that episode, till sdcc where this 4 pack punk disguise Tmnt was being displayed.

I'm probably late to the party, but I'm one of those new readers. I started with the Mirage run in May. I bought the first two hardcover compendiums, and then waited until September to get the third compendium. Minus a few issues, this is the most complete snapshot of volume 1. So good. Then for Volume 2, i used Kindle Unlimited to read them digitally, but it will be collected in a hardcover "Mirage Years 1993-1995" collection in Feb 2025. Its worth reading for sure. Then for Volume 3, I grabbed the TMNT Urban Legends TPB collections. Crazy and wacky, but a fun read. I also found issues online in order to read Volume 4. Yeah, its not finished. I really wish it was, because it was a good story arc and I'd love to see how it ends. And this is the REAL Volume 3, since Laird has deemed the image run to be not canon. Both are worth reading though. Then i moved on to the IDW run. Currently on the third collected volume. I also snuck in both Last Ronin arcs when i was waiting for one of the collected volumes to come in the mail. It's been very expensive, but such a great comic series.

It's definitely, a great time to be alive, for a collector. Maybe not for our bank accounts, but we're getting figures we've wanted as kids.

I wish it would come back. I don't have any figures for it. Bc i was focusing on the toon line more. Now I'm almost caught up with the toon line, I'd love to start collecting this line. Since they're discontinued, for right now, I'd probably have to pay up for them. I don't wanna do that. Hopefully Neca will get back to this line.

First thing Michaelangelo looks like Slash's younger brother scary. Second thing Deadpool, with the TMNT weapons just fits with his character. Not only is Deadpool an assassin, and a ninja type character. which in the comics that's what the TMNT were and are. Deadpool's a character that's aware that everyone in marvel comics are characters. Also Deadpool is aware of other IP outside of marvel comics.

The black,white and red versions, of these figures were Michaelangelo based. I say that Bc their wrists hold nun chucks. I believe the black,white and red variants were sketched by Kevin. And the color variants sketched by Peter.

The figures based off the first comic books from Kevin and Peter aren't for me. Bc I was two when the comics first debuted. So I never read them. For me my collection is mostly IP I grew up with. I either read or watched on tv.

I still haven’t come across the 88 style ones in the wild yet. I’m still on the fence about getting them. But I think if I see them in person they will be hard to resist. They definitely have issues, but for $12, they look pretty sweet.

Playmates loves making the weirdest, most nonsensical choices. Updating the vintage line is such an obvious lay up for them and they still couldn't figure it out lol

Not for me, sadly. If they would've given us updated versions of the original line with updated articulation in the same way of the Playmates Last Ronin figure, with bending elbows and knees, MAYBE I'd feel that way. But what they did give us is most definitely not what Im looking for. I was able to find a set of each but passed.

Nice review. I love love love the music. But it's a bit distracting while listening to you talk. Again I listen to metal constantly and have heard the song. Just figured a bit of constructive criticism. Mirage line is very annoying. Now there coming out with single pack turtles that have more accessories then the 4 pack. Mousers and shit. Am I the only one bummed a bit I got the 4 pack?

I don't get that ppl complain about these not turtles figures sizes. in every single TMNT comics cartoons video games action figures they all are different sizes.

I get why S7 changed the number from 23-84. It's bc the comics first debut in '84. Idk if you can own the rights to a number. If you can, it probably would be expensive to use MJ number 23.

These Toy Companies just decided to hit us with so much Nostalgia all at once that I think it over whelmed us. Marvel Legends, Star Wars the Black Series doing movie figures on retro cards celebrating annv. dates like Empire Strikes Back and Jedi, GiJoe Classifieds, Motu Origins, Masterverse, TMNT classics hitting the shelves again on retro cards and DC Multiverse. Preorders are a nightmare because you don't know when they are going to come. Hasbro raising prices. Store Exclusives being a pain and your store telling you that they only got one in etc. I have come to the realization after messing with my old Star Wars vintage figures from the 80s and Super Powers from back then that I just really only care for the stuff I had when I was a kid. I have canceled my pre-orders on some future purchases and wrapping up my Joes with Retro Cobra Commander. Thats pretty much it for me.
