This is my son in law. Savannah is my daughter. Kenleigh my granddaughter. & now baby Jonothan, born on 2-22-22. He will.never get to know his dad. Savannah and Jonothan were happy, had planned their baby, had their whole future ahead of them. Young,happy, and in love. When suddenly their future snacthed away, by a murderer. The boy who killed him, was in his own platoon. His name is jaden rohlfs. He is from florida. They were just doing a walk thru of the building they were to train at the next morning. They said all marines know the rules of their weapons, never point at, nor tahe off safety, nor pull the trigger, unless ur life is in immediate danger. Well this murderer did all that pointed his gun at his fellow marine, took the safety off, along with pulling the trigger. Resulting in the death of Jonothan. Therefore he straight out murdered him. The weapons had already been checked and cleared that night, yet rolphs had a live round in his gun, plus another live round in his pocket, the testimony in the court room was that they heard live fire, so as they ran into the building(the ones that hadnt entered yet) rolphs after shooting Jonothan, had thrown his gun down, ran outta the room and to the end of a hallway, where he slid down against the wall, took the live round outta his pocket and attempted hiding it in the sand. While declaring "f*** this s***. So not only did the marine core fail Jonothan they totally did him injustice. All they did to this murderer was give him a dishonoable discharge and 24 months in the brig !! And to make matters worse, they realeased him after serving only 18 months. It was a slap in our face ! 18 months was all Jonothans life was to them. I no longer have any respect for our military nor our government. For his fellow marines i have respect to the ones who really cared for him. RIP Lance Corporal Jonothan Franklin Barnette U are loved and will forever be missed. Losing Jonothan altered our lives forever. Our family wheel is now broken....

When I came in the navy in 1984 you had beards at the end of 1984 beards were phased out because LPO 's, CPO's and division officers were not repeat not doing inspections on their sailors and the beards were outrageous and it is true if the beard is so big you will not get a good seal on your scba mask every sailor is a firefighter at the end of the day every morning you have quarters muster instruction and inspection and the inspection part wasn't being done the mask thing is not a dumb argument if you find yourself in a main space fire

The military should bring these guys and their platoon in to help develop better ways to lower suicide rates in the armed forces. I do think the host slightly missed the point they made about how they actively make a priority to check in on each other and not just wait for someone to reach out, is the biggest key to why they have had no suicides from there group. With severe depression reaching out can feel pointless or being a burden, and that's why their whole platoons commitment to checking on each other and not judging is so important. I would love to interview red platoon and talk about building resilience through the group.

From what I'm seeing and hearing, the SEAL's have colectively become "persona non grata" among other units/branches in the American Special Operations community, and SOCOM because of this, and other incidents.

Loved the movie even though there were some liberties taken. For 1 a Fletcher class destroyer wouldn't have been on convoy escort in the Atlantic. Second U Boats didn't have radios capable of voice (TBS) transmissions. I doubt a U Boat would willingly try to slug it out on the surface with any class of surface warship. Even a Flower class corvette seriously out gunned a U Boat.

Navy Seabee Vet here. Any of you young guys and gals that want to learn a usable skill, and travel the world making some freinds for life? The Seabees are for you. It's tough at times, sometimes dangerous, but you also have the best gear and training and want for nothing. I went to Nam, and even to the South Pole. Great home bases at Port Hueneme, and Gulfport. Loved every minute thru thick and thin. Once a Seabee, you will always be a Seabee. Can Do!

10th Group is a active duty unit unless National Guard Soldiers serve in active duty units .If she is National Guard she should belong to either the 19th or 20th Special Forces Group which are both National Guard SF units.If she is a National Guard Soldier she is mostly a civilian unless on duty.
