Good vid mate.wonder if insignia seats wld fit....
Just about any seat will fit. If you watch the other seat video, I did it was a little harder to fit, the seat was too high, Just Check the bolt centre, to see how much off set they might be,
Well done! I have a very nice jig and a mag drill for these! Works nicely. 😂 the problem with that sort of force is the head is softer than the injector so the risk is breaking that first.
Mag drill, that's a good idea 👍 I've got to, way a feel with it, mite drill hole straight tho it! 🤣
What an epic series mate ! amazing determination, amazing ideas ^^ loved it.
@mev1080 Cheers mate 👍 and thank you 3 more to go fingers crossed they come 👍
Thanks a million Mark!
@mraducostin No worries, mate. Hopefully, its helped you out in some way 👍👍
Do I have to lower the tank to replace fuel lines?
No mate There's a join just under drivers side rail in the conner
@@tinker-time Is this a clip connection (a latch with O-rings inside) or do you need to heat the wire with a blowtorch? Can I replace this hose with a rubber pump myself without tools, or do I have to go to a car mechanic's workshop? Thank you for your answer and best regards 🙂🚐
@jjcale1976 Yes, red and green for flow and tank return, push the connector together to pop the apart If you want the the connector of the pipe then can gently cut the pipe off the fitting if you swapping then rubber pipes DONT USE HEAT if the pipes are on the van they could have fuel still in them 👍
when you turnded it over i did not see tension puly need move good job mate
please I need help , please give me your opinion . I have the code P219A in a 2016 Honda , I already did electrical testing on MAF , MAP , Coils , spark plugs have only 7,000 miles , I removed them and they look clean , I removed the EGR and I cleaned it , I removed the injectors and did electrical test and cleaned them , I can’t find the problem. A mechanic told me it is a leak . Apart from the check engine light the engine has less power, and when I accelerate I feel the engine stalling a little bit, when the car is parked with the engine ON I hear a weird noise in the muffler like a leak . A mechanic told me it was a leak . So today I bought a smoke machine and the EGR has like vents and is leaking smoke from there , is that normal ? Should I buy a new EGR ? Thanks 🙏
Hi mate, No, you should have any leaks come out of the egr, that will cause boost pressure problems, as well If you have cleaned the injectiors? You can buy a leak Off kit online and see if they are passing to much , 20 to 25ml is ok for an injector I hope this helps you in some way Let me know,
@@tinker-time thanks for the advice I’m going to buy the kit because yeah I read that it might be a leaking injector but I didn’t know how to check for that . Thanks again. New subscriber here .
@Michael-iu1gv I got mine from amazon about £30
@@tinker-time I think I ordered it the same one , $29.00 😀 thanks again my friend.
I was hiding behind a chair watching this well done🤣🤣
I was worried when I saw the steel table bending a bit; the jack flew off 🤣 aswell
You know you have a stuck injector when you need two 20 tonne bottle jacks. 😂
It just mad. Don't think my weld would hold you at 40tons. I love to fit a gauge to see what pressure it all taking. I still have 3 more to go as well 👍
Bloody hell, I was looking at quotes between £4-600 to have one fitted. I can just do this myself🤣 Where did you tap the wiring into?
How much ! 🤦♂️, I use the rear light wiring, and tap into them, video soon on wiring these up, to come Mine 09 2.0lt
@@tinker-time I know, that’s what I thought! I’ve just found it, there’s a spare empty plug and connector on the loom, n/s. Did you tap into that?
There are a few different ones on these vans, You could use a muti meter to test the plug you have
@@tinker-time I have a 16 vivaro, I’ll have a look and see what’s what. Thank you dude!
You can get proper wiring kit for these vans, on line
Well done Sir!
cheers mate,
A mate had the same problem and it drove him mad, he did manage in the end but it was a week and three good mechanics. Good luck.
Yer I hope the other 3 come out the same way fingers crossed 🤞 it just rust it unbelievable how these are stuck in like this Thanks for watching and subscribing 👍
Super 👍
take an engine from the car, swap the cam and away you go
Great helpful video mark 👍. Feel your pain with stuff not going right, did my bottom ball joint on my primastar last week it was so tight getting the new one in trying to prize the arm down enough, when i finally got it in noticed id split the rubber on the new one 🤬. So tempted to try a bit of superglue its only a little slit rather than do the job again!.
Cheers mate, 👍, It just one job after another. Some jobs are just frustrating to do,i often leave them and come back to them, try a 2 pack contact glue that might work
Great vlogs , very handy . Have a great holiday .
Cheers mate 👍, and thank you 😊
Don't forget to Bleed .
Yes, mate, got the wife to help me 👍
You got there in the end 👍
Yer mate , another mess up nearly, could job I've a few spare 🤣🤦♂️ I'll be back on them injector soon, 👍
Oddly whilst sorting a cv boot on mine I noticed the brake pads are getting low. So I’ll be swapping them and the discs next. Well timed video to use a rough guide. Thanks
Yer just felt the brakes a soft and slow to react when I slowing down , all sorted now tho 👍
Well done,
Cheers pal 👍
Nice job
Cheers mate 👍, 3 more to go ! 👍
mate, had same issues with injectors on Renault Trafic. My mechanic had to take off engine head, cut bottom of injectors and from down he succeed to extract them wit excessive force. Don't forget to fix water issue under windshield, seal around tray has to be replaced, or sikaflex glued. In my case, there was so much water on engine that it destroyed injectors el.connectors so they were loosing contacts and new injectors burned after 3000km. It took me 2 years and a ton of money and time wasted on mechanics. On the end i did by myself whole electric and repair job.
Sounds like mine water been on the injectors for years, under cover, and are rusted in soiled. I hope the other 3 arent as bad 🫤
@@tinker-time Yea, it is most common issue withe Trafic\Vivaro\Primastar, water killed a lot of engines due to construction flaws. Hope too, wish you all the best mate! 😀
1st time watching ur vids this is the 1st 1. Iv always been lucky with my diesel as the injectors came out pretty easy.. i do unfortunately deal with alot of rusty bolts siezed into alloy though moto x shock bolts etc that go streight through a swingarm usually never touched or maintained in the last 10-15yr i find wurth inject crack does a really good job along with some some heat.. if you habe the luxury of time you could spray a penetrant leave it to soak a day or 2 then apply heat.
Had a jammed injector. Wouldnt move. Undid the retaining bolt and plate. Started the engine. Revved the nuts off the engine. It blew the injector straight out.
These are rusted to bits, it unreal that they are just rust holding them in, I hope the other 3 come out fingers crossed 🤞
I nearly wet my trousers when the injector let go. Quite a scare.
The other video worse, they flew on that one! These jack are 12kg each aswell Think I need to make some fly leads for them to stop fly off lol
Congratulations. That was the most enjoyable and quality bit of RUclips I’ve watch all month. Subscribed and best regards 👍
Cheers mate 👍 glad you liked it and have subscribed 👍 Let hope the other 3 want to come out next
Common stop talking shit get on with the job bla bla bla
Found it was the injectior pipe un- seated on the injectior just un did the pipe a nipped it back up 👍 Wasn't as bad as I thought in the end
Great vid by a true Yorkshireman 🤭If only the factory would use anti seize compound on these, this would never be a problem. Locktite 8151 to be precise. This stuff is absolutely foolproof and can be used one exhaust studs. They always come out years later if required ⚠️
Cheers, pal. I've got some stuff for the injectior. If these ever come out, that is, fingers crossed, the other 3 will come out now 👍
Just put an engine in the twat
Got to admire your persistence. Good luck with the rest👍
Well done that's a right result I'm well chuffed for you
Cheers, more to go ! Fingers crossed 🤞
I couldn't help but engage my safety squints watching this video..
Yer that's twice now, these jack have flown off, there about 15kg each aswell Might have to make some safe chains some how for them 🙄
It's steel in aluminium... Warm it up. Would be interesting to work out the clamping force of a 100°C temperature change.
Had a few saying warm it up, I not doing that could warp the head, mite knackered now anyway with all the force going though it 🫤
I hope you are charging at least £60 per hour + vat for your labour.
I wish mate, Don't think I could do these for a living. They are nightmare A full injectior removal kit would be 5k worth, it take some patience and time to get these out,
Very good mark keep them coming 👍👍👍👍👍🤗
Nice work Mark, just like my channel, straight talking, and upfront, refreshing change , good work Gary
Thanks mate, just seen this comment, sorry it late reply 👍
@@tinker-time No probs...
Nice one. Love the home made platform for the jacks, that looks like the effort to build the tool will pay off nicely 👌 I love it when a plan comes together! ❤😂
Cheers, it is holding up, the platform, with the pressure it having to take, 👍👍
Sword in stone kind of stuff! 👌
Yer, I think I'd have more of ago to get the sword out than these 👍
Is this a 1.9 ? ...
@@tonythorrington3740 No mate, it nightmare 2.0 , some 1.9 aren't that bad, and can come out with a good slide hammer kit,
@@tinker-timethank u ....i got 75ml across the board on a leak back test and am contemplating changing mine ...i got a 05 1.9
Think the max is 25ml for a good injector. You check with the dealer, maybe, I need to buy a 1.9 van next 👍 had one years ago. Great van, these 2.0 are not as good,
I drilled one out once, after that job i bought the hydraulic puller kit and the majority came out easy with it, the tell tale was if it didn’t creak on the second pump of the ram it was a snapper, i got tired of them in the end and refused to take them on 😂
I need a pincher kit, really but at 3,5k and not doing it as a job, just trying stuff that we all can get hold of, I've got a air puller but that did nothing, I seem to able to get the one with thread on the top out, ok done 5 now on my videos but these are well welded in with rust 🫤👍
@@tinker-time I couldn’t get anyone to sell me a pichler kit at the time but darwin diesels do a kit made by Tesam and they were nice enough to sell me one with all the trimmings for tapping the snapped bits and still getting them out, i think i gave £1100 ish for the lot and it never failed
It’s a great feeling when you’ve been stuck with a job that starts to get you down. Been there many times.
Yer runing out of options on this one nightmare. It was good to see pop out, but did take some force, tho 👍
I want to do the egg delete on my tragic but I am not mechanical any recommendation where I can get it done like yours mark
@@Dean_tat2 I'm not sure there's anyone that does it really all the gaskets I made myself and the blanking plates I did a video on the blue van where I show how I did the EGR it's just a couple of blanking plates I then drilled and tapped where the spindle shaft went, ripped out the motor
😮😢 Always something to do on this kind of van...
Well done 👍👍
After destroying my brand new injector removal kit off Ebay 2 days ago, i realised my egr cooler had completely corroded 😅, i may do what you have done but it's all dependent on weather or not i can get these injectors out as i have a stuck exhaust valve 😅! Im no mechanic, but im becoming a vivaro master tech this last year, lol.
@hammyzgod Them kits aren't the best. In one of my videos I did, I smashed it to, ended up welding it up,
@tinker-time Yeah, I saw mate 😅 I watched the full saga 😂🤣😂 and loved every minute of it, but it's put the fear of life in me. Now I know what I have to do 😅.
And Hello to your Lovely wife 😊😊
Bet you could take these apart blindfolded, haha.
Should make these vans with quick release clips ! 🤣🤣
@@tinker-time 🤣
Did you soak them with penetrating fluid?
No mate, nothing getting down the side to help them out, rock soiled, some said drill some small hole then push some wd40 or something like that, to help, Some people warm them up aswell to pull them out, but mine are welded in with rust 🫤
I know what them injectors are like but more to the point that is some decent welding there 😊
Cherrs mate, 👍👍 thanks
What size tap did you use on the injector?
M16x2mm pitch 👍
Mark quick question if you don't mind pal, I have a 2.0 Vivaro M9R on an 11 plate, I was changing both front wheel bearings and the drive shaft must've pulled out a little and dropped gearbox oil while I was fitting the new bearings, Not a problem I thought just top it up but it has to be a certain amount and have no idea how much leaked. Have you done any gearboxes or know how much it needs from empty? Btw love the vids and have learned so much about my van watching your vids, Thankyou.
Just remove the filler plug at the top and top the oil slowly until it starts to run out through the hole , when it does it’s at the right level and just put your plug back in…. It’s the same procedure on any FWD gearbox really I’ve always done mine this way and never had any issues… On the M9r the gearbox takes 2.7 l If you’re unsure about doing it there are a few vids on the tube…👍
thanks lot 👍👍hope I've helped you in some way, check with a motor factors on the oil speck, think it 75w-80 it takes about 2.6 litres. But there is a drain fill and an overfill on the side of the gearbox. so it cant be over filled, like this other lads mentioned in his comment, make sure the bearing in the right way lol if you need me to do a gearbox oil top up or re fil let me know 👍
@@yensabi Really appreciate the replies and Thanks but the overflow as far as I've researched is higher than the oil quantity required to fill the gearbox and overfills if you fill till it trickles out, Looks like I'll just drain the box and add in a measured amount of fluid. Looks like it's 2.7L Thanks. 👍
