Nope, not my now Exhusband from Mauritania. He NEVER made time for me, he never remembered ANYTHING about me, other than trying to SCAM me for his own personal gain of U.S citizenship . And he left Mauritania because of WARRANTY for his ARREST in Mauritania. He's been EXPOSED .

Salams Fuad - I really appreciate your channel as a Canadian woman getting to know an Arab man. He has asked if I am prepared to submit to him when/if he forbids me from doing something. I've asked him for examples of areas where he anticipates this happening between us or based on what he's observed growing up and he's not been able to come up with any. From your end, can you think of times when a husband might forbid his wife from doing something she really wants to do? He and I have already discussed clothing/ modesty but aside from that, what other specific situations could arise in theory? I'm a Muslim revert so am western but also doing my best to learn about and practice Islam properly. Maybe I'm naive but I feel like if he and I both follow Islam, there shouldn't be many, if any situations where he as husband would forbid me to do things, since we would be aligned from the get go, inshaAllah.

He was asking the other guys who were Arab who is this woman she acts different from the other women who come here. They say ahhh that’s nice woman . He made his acquaintance with me. And we started hanging out , we had sex, he was romantic, he was protective of me. Jealous , drove me , he seemed like a guy I could spend the rest of my life with. Until he kept me hidden, only called when he wanted me sexually, disappeared a lot, he was in Egypt family emergency allegedly. Tell me be patient before we move to next level… marriage never happened. I had to disconnect myself totally from him. Wat a waste of time and regret even giving him power over me like that. As a someone who’s going through this right now I can say the following: This mentality is discrimination, it goes against Islam, against Allah, against God himself. My husband was threatened with getting disowned, distanced, written off from the family if he married me as If I was some kind monster, embarrassing human being. His mom faked sickness to try to put pressure on him, which worked for a couple of years until FINALLY they had no choice but to accept it. He wasn’t going to leave me… so all their drama went downhill eventually. For anyone reading this: It’s better to find someone with different YOUR same mentality, someone who’s family has been abroad and had contact with other cultures, not Arab… you’ll go through hell. Safe yourself some wrinkles and simply look for someone else. I love my husband, as a couple we’re very happy but there’s always that tension, uncomfortable situations you’ll be involved in and all you can do is to step away and let them talk. Totally unnecessary and a real nightmare at times. I wish I knew all this before falling in love with him. Learn from me, look elsewhere and don’t waste time and tears. It’s no joke! Their mentality made me not like their culture, made me hate their traditions and close minded unsupported ideas.

I'm glad to hear about your opinion as an arab man. Here in Quebec, Canada, we have a lot of immigration and usually as women are very open with communicating their feelings and desires since the feminist progress of the last 40 years and with arab men that are curious and want to explore, the dating life goes well, with respect and consent. It's more difficult as french-canadian men that might want to get with arab women. There is also many online support group to discuss about what we experience. It's almost like we start to feel like we are cousins or distant relatives. Sadly our cultural history is very charged as some french-canadians might descend from the northmen that fought against muslims in Spain. Even if it's not well known. It's also quite common to people arab or muslim without knowing if there is a sad reason they had to migrate and it's difficult to offer hospitality. Also, they might want to meet indigenous people men or women instead. Some feel the pressure to be model minorities and buy expansive clothing brands. Others do well in the academy or culture field. We also build vegan solidarity and appreciate the delicious arab food. In this political context there is sadly also some xenophobia that is expressed by the less educated. For others, we truly want the people that want to radicalize against the west to know that poorer classes in the west also oppose their exonomical oppressors. Class solidarity was repressed in most arab countries and muslims might not want support from atheists, but we don't want them to experience pain and to die in war. We try to oppose weapon traffick and keep mobilising. War is such a complex theme. And love at war is incredibly difficult. We hope that arabs and muslims could also help us to deescalate the ungoing conflicts and to resolve their own conflicts with former antagonists. The collaboration on ending enslavement and the support of workers is important. Love to all couples struggling through it all. May peace find your families.

The old family relatives don’t like me for being a non Muslim. But the rest of the family don’t care, saying as long as he love me and that I’m good woman, okay. About the food, I learned to cook Arab food, tagine, molokhia and others and it became our food everyday. I eat my local food from time to time because honestly their food is better and healthier than my home country food. 😂 about language barrier, he is a Moroccan, he speak English, French, Arabic and English but his English is not so fluent like mine. When we have misunderstandings, I realized that our argument will become bigger and bigger if I talk fast and in English language. He said when I talk fast in English and in angry manner, he thinks I’m a Russian machine gun, that he wants to say many things but if in English he can’t fight back 😂 But our misunderstandings will not become big everytime I use translator. So imagine us having misunderstandings and I pull English to Arabic translator and he also pull his Arabic to English translator from our phones and we talk through this manner. It takes time- we learned to type fast 😂 it’s funny in a way. But love though not easy but will conquer all. By the way everyday he talks to me about Quran and the stories of the prophets. Even watch videos or movies of these prophets on TikTok or RUclips. I’m a pastors kid and a born again Christian, I lost my father 2 months before I met him, I used to talk to my father about biblical subjects, now I have him and I get to see Islam’s perspective. Christian’s perspective from my father. So with him, it’s like I have a brother, a father, and lover in one.

Non Arab women must not married an Arab men period. It never work.

The man I met is in his late 40s and only been in my country for 4 yrs. I am white and he falls in love with my eyes. He has been very respectful to me the whole time we became friends and like one another. I believe he is learning how expensive it is here and realized we must break up so he can focus on his financial stability. He has an ex-wife from Egypt and 4 daughters. He also pays to take care of them over there , as he should. We were never physical and talked about that for marriage. We had a nice short time together and I met his family , we were both working and never had much time to spend together bc it’s so expensive to live here. We realize it would not work like this.

Yeah, I stay far away from all my haters and negative energy from envious people. I don’t like drama.

I have done all that. When I used to be married. I worked full time 14 hours and still come home do my duties as a wife/mom. Because that’s my job as a wife is to take care of things in the house. It’s all common sense. And we don’t think like that we are slaves when we do house chores. That’s my responsibility to do the house work even if I have a full time job. Well, you made 50 year old woman they are old. I turn 50 this year and I really don’t look like a 50 year old. I look more I’m in my early 30. And the reason why I only get approached by younger men. And I am very honest with them about my age so that way they can make their own decision. Because I am not a cougar 😂😂😂😂.
