Hands down the best video i've seen on installing the torsion keys, i was confused about doing this part by myself but now that i understand how it works i'm not afraid to try it! thanks again
Genius! Or as the british say; Brilliant!. FYI on trucks such as the S-10 the torsion bars remove easier when the torsion bar crossmember is unbolted due to the binding angle from the crossmember to the control arms. Learned this the hard way til it got easier. Thanks suspension MAXX for these torsion bar cams.
The differential spacers will help to extend the life of the front CV axles by preventing the boots from rubbing and keeping the angels closer to stock. It is recommended to use them for the best results of the kit.
I agree. CV axles bind and extreme angle and become damaged. In some scenarios there is damage to the front differential without a differential drop. There are companies who make differential drops for lifts higher than these. However for this application the suspension Maxx differential drop neccessary and sufficient. Speaking from experience.
You said that we could go back and adjust the bolt that goes into locking mechanism holding the torsion bar key any time we wanted to, but why would we want to? and also, it looks like the bolt is hanging down past the cross member.....is there any chance of it hitting a rock or something underneath?? great video btw
You can adjust the bolt at any time as a fine tuning tool to make sure your truck is level and at the height you want. As for the bolt hanging past the cross member you normally will run that almost flush to the cross member, also there is a possibility that at any point stock or otherwise that you have a chance of hitting one of those bolts with a rock.
Maybe it just looked like it was sticking out past the cross member more than it was, but it seemed it would be closer to flush ideally. Excellent video and response. Subscribed! And buying the part and tool as soon as the tax money comes 💪@@Truckspring
@@TruckspringAlso, when I searched the part online it didn't say it came with the differential spacer which is what sold me on the kit. Does the kit (I have a 2016 2500HD) come with the diff spacer?
Do you need the 2-4 control arms after do this,or does this fix the angle of the control arms also,I have a lift, and don't have the 2-4 arms or diff drop, and if I hit some bumps it shakes violently until I slow down
Lifted control arms are not required with this kit since it maxes out at 2.5" of lift. Around the 3" area is when lifted control arms will become necessary for suspension travel and camber. The differential drop portion of this kit will help with CV axle wear by reducing their operating angles. The most common causes of front end shake / bump steer is loose steering or suspension components and incorrect alignment.
@@myguitaryourface5160 On this chassis it is common for the upper control arms to end up close to the frame with any kind of lift. Moving to a lifted style control arm will change the control arm angles and restore some of the clearance.
This video does not address the much more difficult part of adding the differential spacers. The written installation guide addresses the install, but you need to know the install is more difficult than presented here. Read through the installation guide link listed with each product and know what you will be dealing with before installing yourself. Great product and highly recommend, but the install is not for your average DIY'r

If I select b2 for example while calibrating, does the B side on both cams need to face forward towards the engine?
Are those differential spacers really necessary seeing as no other company offers them??

Wondering if same kit can be installed on 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD LT Flex fuel 6.0 L
Flex fuel does not affect the suspension kit. Depending if it is a 2wd the kit number is SMX-MC32WD and if it is a 4wd then the kit number is SMX-MC5.
I have 7.5 inch lift kit on my 2500hd its safe adding this to a my lift kit?

Yes, it does come with a differential spacer. @@abdulfatah8283
Good job !
God bless you 🙏
Does it cause wear on cv joints an bind them up ?
With the included differential spacers in this kit there should be no binding or extra wear of CV joints for the front axles.
Do you need to change out the shocks.
No, just shock extensions.
Is there a link to buy this ?

Does it need an alignment after the leveling kit?
Yes, an alignment should be performed after installation of this kit to prevent tire wear.

Is a front end alignment necessary after the kit is installed?
Yes, when changing ride height an alignment should always be performed afterwards to avoid tire wear or a pull.
Did you need spacers for the skid plate under the front diff afterwards?
Skid plate spacers are not required. The differential will not be low enough to hit the skid plate
