- In this video, we feature two amazing cases from Phone Rebel that literally takes protection to the next level. If you guys know about everythingapplepro, he basically did hundreds of drop tests to finally come up with these cases that are durable as hell.
Now who says transparent cases can only be fancy and great for showing off your expensive phone? The Gen 2 crystal case is amazing because it looks incredible, and comes with great protective features are well. We would say the case is better described as elegant with a rugged twist.
On the other hand, the second generation rebel case is not one to mess with. Its back is made of one of the strongest kind of fibers around, the Aramid Fibre. Our previous videos on the Pitaka Air case explained in detail the uniques features of the Aramid fiber and its applications. Having the Aramid Fiber on its back makes the gen 2 rebel case one of the toughest iPhone case around.
What we also love about this case is the fact that it has the strongest magsafe on its back! This is great news if you intend to mount the phone on cars and other magnetic accessories. Nice vid! Is the rebel aramid version a lot more protective than the crystal? I like the look of the crystal more but if the aramid is way more protective may have to go with that one...
Hi thank you for the kind words! Tbh, we feel that the Aramid version is definitely more protective than the crystal one. This is mainly due to the rock solid back. However, if the looks of the crystal case is what attracts you, then you should know that the case possesses amazing protective features as well. @@TheCaseTheory is the back of the this case and the Aramid version smooth or textured? I want to put a kickstand on it and need a smooth surface.

The back of the aramid version is lightly textured, but smooth enough for you to install a kickstand.
We got this during pre-order, so it took a while. Best if you check with them directly for more accurate shipping estimate.

which is a better case between the phone rebel crystal gen 2 and the casetify ultra impact
Hi Danny, it totaly depends on your preference. The phone rebel Crystal gen 2 looks really nice for a transparent protective case. On the other hand, Casetify’s ultra impact is more stylish in appearance i would say. Personally, i prefer the ultra impact coz its got the bumpers around the corners which looks really cool. However, if what you really care about is the ultimate drop protective case that provides the best protection, then its definitely the rebel case. Although the design is not much. Hope that helps! Hows the side grip with completely dry hands?
it is fairly grippy. but if you’re looking for the ultimate grip, you may want to consider dbrand’s grip case, or Smartish’s gripmunk case.

Hi I’m really trying to see if it’s possible but would this gen crystal 2 case fit a 13 pro max?
the Iphone 13 has the same size as the Iphone 12 as far as I know. So if u buy the iPhone 12 version u should be fine !
Do you think either of these cases would work with an edge-to-edge screen protector? Or do you think the lip comes too far over the edge? I know it comes with the Flolab one but am still curious. Thanks!
Hi there! We are using edge to edge screen protector from whitestone as seen in the video and it works perfectly fine! Hope that helps!:)
@@TheCaseTheory Thank you! I just looked at a video of that screen protector, and it looks like while it is bigger than the average one, it still leaves some space around the edges. I'm worried a true edge-to-edge may be too big?
Currently we have another iphone with casetify's edge to edge screen protector as well. So far looks like there isn't any issues. Can't wait to check out Rebel's Gen 3 cases for the iPhone 13!

I would say the Rebel case. dbrand's grip case has a sand-like texture which is more grippy, but less comfortable to hold as compared to the Rebel case.

How heavy is this case? I’m looking at this and the rhino shield solidsuit which is 30g in weight
it's about 50g for each case. Never had the chance to try the solidsuit. But if I'm not wrong, everythingapplepro did a drop test video comparing these 2 cases. You may want to check out that vid.

UAG Plasma for more grip, and the Crystal if you want a quality clear case.

There's a sceen protector already installed on the phone in this video. Plus the case itself comes with a Flolab screen protector.

The dust issue is a bummer, but it's hard not to recommend the rebel case. I mean, have you watched EAP's drop test video? 😁
