Replacing the middle defender (beagle in this case) with a strong AoE guard works fairly well. Means you don't have to worry about swapping the intial guard out (since they're the one that stays there) and saves some DP in the long run (higher inital cost though). If it's blaze you can also wait until her skill has charged and she can help protect the person charging the other gramaphone (gravel, etc)
If you have an E2 Nightingale, use her instead of Perfumer. Her S2 arts shield is great there. S2 Ejya instead of Steward is much better so your defender isn't overwhelmed.
@@veinartwear4820 Kyo's guides aren't meant to be taken literally. It's about the roles. Not everyone has the same units leveled up or does not want to use them. That's why I'm recommending substitutes.
@@Shijaru64 they didnt take those literally, theyre pointing out the thing everyone shouldve known, captain obvious. If theres something else to replace like blaze in the beagle spot or something different that might help. Your ideas are just replace 3* with better operators
I used Siege instead of midnight to gain more dp cz my squad is high cost then I altered some of the deployment order and I still did it first try. Thanks man. Always a lifesaver! Looking forward for more big brain guides from you kyo!

To those who have Ifrit. The part where Kyo said you can't deploy a caster is where you can place Ifrit. Just put a medic defender where you put Midnight, then a healer in Steward's position. Ifrit can tank the exploding guys.
So glad I finally finished this stage, I gave up on EX-8 after about 30 failed practice runs, but this one is at least fun, although I absolutely despise whoever thought of the Blood Magister enemy.
I thought all the Myrtle activations were overkill, but I activated her every time I could remember to, definitely missed some, and ended at 40 DP! Haha
I understand why you put silverash in there. I swapped him for my lvl 80 lappland, skill 2 m3, never had a problem with the casters. She took care of them all and never leaked one. Great guide though, helped me through it. So simple once you know.

If you're following KyoStinV's strat here, but wanna use higher tier operators, I would recommend using a vanguard as your staller, preferably one with DP generation over time. Zima would be best since she saves you DP. The reason for this is that relying only on Myrtle for DP generation will slow down the deployment speed significantly, especially when using higher tier operators with their correspondingly higher costs. This will cause problems in catching the first suicide bomber on the top lane.
Dunno dude, I'm using 9 6* with Myrtle Bagpipe as vanguard and didn't got any issue and could probably replace Perfumer for Nightingale to make a total of 10 6* without any problem. Well I didn't use this strat because well...my team is way more stronger.
I find it really difficult to replicate this since I don't have both Myrtle and Silverash. I tried with Texas instead of Myrtle, but it's impossible to deploy everyone on time, especially since other units are more expensive too. Thank you anyway for the ideas! I'll probably try with Eyja instead of Silverash, hopefully it can work.
i deployed nightingale (perfumer spot) and later returned to her dying. then i redeploy her again right when the caster/hammer caster guy appeared and she frickin died not even 10 seconds after deployment :)
Good map to flex your Blaze Saria Angelina and stuff. Other challenges were kinda "ok Gravel, here we go again". Nice ending to the event tbh. Alas, good map will go away.
I love your videos! If it's not too much work, would it be possible to include some important things to consider (maybe with screenshots) at the beginning of the video. That way I can get some pointers and maybe think about something I was missing, and can try again with my own strategy.
using Blaze S2 on Beagle spot (1st spot) facing down really help the bottom lane clearing the mobs fast without the need of caster on Steward spot (i use Ptilopsis on his spot). if only i have her tho XD almost run out of refresh to find Blaze on support... PS: i also change my vanguard from Myrtle to Texas S1 (any vanguard with auto proc skill will do tho) just so i can focus on other place while she can regenerate DP without the need of attention.
Do you have a Patreon or something? I can't imagine the amount of testing you do without being paid. I personally would be happy to drop 20 bucks after completing most of the Twilight of Wolumonde event solely because of your minimal operator guides
I like how it says "It's not essential to follow the steps perfectly." in the description so I completely skipped deploying a defender to a tile in 3:55 and went straight for a tile in 4:32 instead.
Because in 3:55 he placed it wrong lol. A more accurate representation of that would be, the second defender in 2:12 can be replaced with just Gravel if you’re using Amiya as the ST Caster lol. Not placing anything there and retake that gramophone later also works - it’s pretty forgiving

All that i can say is just change Gummy into Matterhorn he is more durable to tank arts explosion, and if you want you can use Thorns instead of SA

In a stroke of madness, I used this plan (With an extra slow support for a quick replacement and 2 more defenders to body block) To clear normal mode.
