It's not essential to follow the steps perfectly.
Adjust the strategies a little bit for yourself to suit your own team comp better.

Thank you for not leaving Arknights
seriously, idk where i'd be without him :') thank you so much kyo
Eckogen: Am i a joke to you ?
@@KoaKoara2702
I have thanked him in Facebook
I second that! Thanks for staying with us and thanks for this guide. I was so tired if this event and just wanted the last Mission to be over with -.-'
Thank you for not leaving Arknights and being a whiny b*tch about quitting
2:22 "I don't wanna talk about them anymore"
That's all right, nobody wants them in the event either
I thought I was being big brain by bringing Lappland along, then found out the hard way that they can't be silenced to stop the explosion...
This event just doesn't want you to have fun
@@cillafawn281 and after the event they throw you CC1 right away
Not even coin is Easy to grind because amount coin we got is small amount base sanity.
And the quest force us to spend 4000 Coin. This literally Killing F2P Player.
Kyo in the end : "Anyway......"
**the video ends*
Me : ANYWAY WHAT? TELL ME
He probably rush to Genshin
>finished the last map of the event
ANYWAY
Anyway.. Lets go back to genshin
Oh no
I dont need sleep. I need answers
When you thought you finished the level but then you realized you were playing on normal mode......
OMG I did this lol. Used 10 ops, just about won and realised I didn’t click challenge mode. Now I keep failing...
Wow! I did it!!! It felt even eaasy.... wait a Minute!
@@JB-pu3oj Yup happens/happened to all of us.. "It's working this time.. all that practice is paying off! My underleveled ops are actually outperforming kyo's... ..."
your avatar fits your comment so well
@@peyerspatch "....outperforming Kyo's...wait! But thats impossible!" And thats when you knew, you fucked up.
You know what, I cried. Cried of happiness that I beat this hell with the help of this guide. At first I thought that Hateful Avengers are the worst enemy units, but no, Mudrock, her golems and suicide bombers are the SSS combo of the worst enemies
To round everything up, Eyjafjalla is the MVP of the event.
And Gravel. Gravel saved the day in most EX stages for me.
Huh? eyjafjalla?? Maybe we should ask gramophone-chan first
Yup it's gramophone
Nah. It was Gravel the MVP.
@@nurmahmudi6108 gramophone-chan is the biggest traitor of the event. One moment she supports you and next moment some random caster says some mumbojumbo and she starts attacking you.
Not the kind of MVP I'd vote for :p
I absolutely despise those exploding red enemies ahhhh
Wow I was on this level for hours and did a strat completely different from yours. Now you show how simple and easy it is to help everyone else who will get stuck on this level
actually this strat might be difficult to follow, as it needs quite tight micro management
I finished this level on a completely different strat too
@@hikkikomori915 which one
@@weberxctationcupcake8938 well, I find my own strat using eyja and ifrit s3 combo, with nian hold Mudrock and red as*hole in place
@@hikkikomori915
I followed this strategy with only 2 ops from the guide!
Gravel and Eya E2 45 S2M1
Courier = E2 45 Texas S2M3
Scavenger = E2 45 Siege S2 -7
Myrh = E1 80 Shining S2 -7
Melantha = E2 45 Bagpipe S2
Coura = E2 Blaze S2M3
Orchid = Angelina E2 45 S1M2
Cardiagan = Saria E2 45 S3 -7
Plume = Vigna E2 45 S2 M1
Timing is really tight, especially when you need put Eya down! I need to use Gravel 1st then tank, Saria down
@@XPuntar Yeah, this guide definitely doable,
it's just that I really am terrible at timing (my istina, which replace orchid just keep dying, lol) make me really frustrated
eventually I gave up, and fck it I'm gonna wreck those red bastards with brute force.
Note: SilverAsh S3 works in place of the "best defender".
Face him up and use his S3 to assure Mudrock dies quickly.
No need to block 4 with him, he will kill the last enemies very easily.
Use the 1block vanguard where you deployed it at battle start to bait the casters into attacking it.
Bless up for your comment, I had tried many times and failed, but with SA added and some finessing due to timings I got it. Thanks a lot
thanks you very much, one try with sa and clear,
I will try with thorns?
Woah didn't expect this to blow up on a years old video haha. You're welcome, guys.
Also yeah, @ConwaysQuest, Thorns definitely work because while he doesn't burst as high as SA, he will have higher sustained DPS once his S3 gets going.
@@gavinyip4680 The fun part of this is that I also failed two times in a row while using a defender, then went "screw it, I need an Elite 2 for the support so I'll just use SilverAsh" and it worked.
The sanity I lost for retrying this challenge stage hurt my soul
Code of Brawl flash backs here....
same here.. i mind tells me to stop playing right now
@@Levariatine Its bad for f2p since we need to maximize sanity spent but retrying is a waste of sanity
A year later in the rerun, I have m3'd all meta 6 stars and this stage still took me 3 hours to complete. Kyo has such big brain.
The micromanaging in this stage is just pure BS
Yeah.
I still managed with above guide it but so much improvising because Angelina died by that 1 pixel too much to the right. FFS
That "red bomber" was actually already in the stairs. Do "red" ones have greater range or what?
And then I lost also the left gramophone, because next bomber died here. At least no op died. Thank you RNGjesus!
I lost Saria, but at least Eya and both Siege and Bagipe secured the area succesfuly.
So hectic only because of Ange downfall
@@XPuntar IKR, i have the exact question. I have lost count how many times those red bombers killed my slow supporters in the bottom right. I always make sure to let it die right before it enter the stairs the nornal one doesnt even damage my op, yet red one reached and kills my op like how the frick?
I've busted 4 sanity pot just to run this cm
And plot twist
I still haven't cleared it .-.
The Blood Shamans are really a pain in the ass.
You can't kill them too quick or they'll blow up in the bottom lane Gramophone and/or kill your ranged tiles. You can't kill them too slow or they'll blow up in the top lane Gramophone and make you defenseless against Mudrock. All of your concentration is devoted to where to put their graves.
Took me three tries but I managed to finally clear this stage using your guide. Thanks so much!!!
The pain of that red bomb is real. Even the master KyoStinV is having nightmare
After several times of repeating, trying to get the right timing and correct deployment position, and who operators comes next, I finally heccin' did it and I swear I am about to cry~ ;w;
I wish this level had a physical existence so I could throw a hatchet in its face. I followed this guide for the standard mode thinking 'may as well just learn how to do it with the 10 operate limit for challenge mode'. Cleared it first time following this. 3 days later and I can't seem to get past the damn challenge mode!!
All enemies in Challenge Mode stages are buffed slightly, even if it doesn't say so in the description. The buffs are usually 5-20% extra ATK, DEF, etc. That probably explains why you can't beat the CM version even though the standard version works.
Thank you so much for this. Your strategy literally saved me during last minute of the event.
The pain when you don't have Eyja and your only friend with Eyja as support rarely appear ;;
and when she did appear, she is using s2 so its useless for this map ahhhhhh
Ejya- E2 Lvl.90, Skill- Ignition.
And then you start removing your less-useful friends so that she appears slightly more often because the event is about to end and you still haven’t cleared that stage.
… No no, I mean, it was just hypothetical. It’s not like I have any firsthand experience with that situation or anything.
@@Fuzen. No shame in it bruh. There are no eternal friends, only eternal benefits.
Are you even human bro, lol... I've try like 20x and fail here
if you have saria just use her s3 for eyja to debuff mudrock
@@CinnamonBreadBun thank you very much the tips is very useful
He probably tried a lot of times, suffering like us :’)
@@CinnamonBreadBun thank youu, that was the tiny little push i needed !!
Thank you for not leaving!!! I cleared everything, you deserve the medal! 👑
Thank you god kyo. took me a lot of tries and modifications to fit my squad but in the end it was a success thanks!
:)
Your strategy is the one that worked for me!
Thanks Kyo
THank you so so very much for the guide, this one was hard
Tip: Use Saria with Skill 3 instead of Cuora so you can decrease Mudrock's Res and melt the health bar.
Thanks! My Eyja was just slightly lacking attack, so Mudrock would retrieve the shield and the whole strat go in vain. Thanks to Saria's s3 this isn't a problem anymore.
@@TheFilipppok Yeah, it was necessary for me too, but I saw it on Reddit and wanted to pass it along. Glad to hear it worked!
THANK YOU
Your tip helped me finally beat it and i leveled up to lvl 84 so i got all my sanity back too :)
Thank you so much. Im struggling in killing mudrock too. But after watching Kyo's video and reading ur comment, i can make it, way easier.
Once again, thanks.
THANKYOU SO MUCH LORD Kyostinv. i cleared this CM mode in just 2 day. i will keep supporting whatever content u make. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you your guides are really helpful
Normally I watch your vids after I clear a map, but this event changed everything. Thank you Master KyoStinV
I was pretty busy with my uni exams so your guides helped a lot. As always, thanks Kyo :)
Mmm also, after seeing some comments, I want to let you know to not worry if you feel like taking a break if you need to, you deserve it. Play Arknights or not, it's your choice, and just like Tectone, you have a choice. We like your videos for your personality, like Horror Nights is really funny, so we'll support you regardless of whatever content you want to make.
Maan! Thats Fantastic! Thank you!
This level just took all my sanity IG and IRL. Now i want to sleep
Massive respect KyostinV
Kudos to you
Kyo... I thank you from the bottom of my heart
thanks Kyo, if it wasn't for your guides i don't think i would had finish the ex on time.
Just some counting with Orchid S6 and Gravel E1 Max S7:
Basic bottom booms ( or whatever the name is ): stall for 2 orchid hits then retreat
Red Var with skill: stall for 4 orchid hits
Red Var without skill: stall for around 5 hits, a bit tanky at the end so it will travel quite far. Absolutely 5 hits if after mudrock skill
Welp, we need Talulah fight now at low end squad :)
@@andrewwijaya5845 there's already one made tho. Altho it's not kyo lol
For some reason, I found this easier than the normal mode strategy, lol. I actually used this strategy to just clear both.
Thanks KyoStinV. I was really struggling with this one. You make it look so easy, lol.
if your sniper in the bottom is strong enough you can get fked by the suicide bomber because they will die and take both of the bottom turret, maybe thats the issue
@@MefoWho Yep. Had to replace exu for this reason.
Im still using Exu but with S1 to simulate lower tier Snipers. Exu still gives the advantage of her stat buff.
@@tsf9600 My exu was e2 so she at one point nuked both machines. I changed her position and now it seems to be fine.
after dozens of trial and error plays, even while using this guide, i finally cleared it
bless you kyostinv
Thank you for the positioning on blocking Mudrock, I kept barely managing to take her down and losing the left tower, but once I checked where you were stopping her everything fell into place!
Thanks for the guide ^^
Did ex-8 normal with a bunch of 6* and buffs to spawncamp mudrock, but for CM had to take a peek at this video and STILL used up all my practice plans, succeeded at the very last. Thank you Kyo ^_^
The man is a living legend. Thanks for saving some of my real life sanity, or whatever that's left.
You can use Silverash instead of Melantha so redeployment time is reduced by 10%
The idea of this guides is making them as more f2p as possible so using a 6* that not everybody has for a little optimization is kind of out of the question
Good tip, probably with S2 so he can survive for a bit longer? I used project red instead of melantha.
@@mauroramondo5855 Note that I said you can, not should.
@@henkki1000 He preferably can be placed behind the defender at the bottom so he can use S3 to help kill Mudrock with Eyjafjalla
My god, Thank you for the guideeeee
Thank you Kyo, for some reason was not able to find eya, this strategy also works with ceobe instead of eya and blaze on place of cuora.
Ty. Replacing Cuora with Blaze.
@@alexl1178 hey, you don't need brain when you have blaze
Thank you very very much :)
Thanks Kyo i really love you
Thank you so much!!!!!!!
man I've searched for so long trying different strats but yours only works lol
atleast for the squad that I built
If this guide didn't exist, I could never pass that stage. Thanks Kyo!
if you're having a hard time delaying you can try using spectre with s2 with silence to spot heal her
Trying to do this without eyja is just ridiculous
Edit: It is straight up impossible, I tried Magallan, Angelina and Mostima, guess I'll just miss out on the originite prime
Some people have succeeded, but for most people, yeah.
I have personally burned through so much sanity to refresh support units after I exhausted all my free refreshes because I couldn’t get Eyja with Volcano. I went as far as removing most of my friends that didn’t offer useful units to reduce the pool of support units.
Tried SA, Blaze, Ifrit and so on as core units, without success. Eyja with Volcano ? First try without the slightest issue.
@@Fuzen. Yeah, the mini annihilation was easier than this one, I did finally manage to get an Eyja in my support list. Kinda regret not buying her when she was available in the certificate store earlier heh
@@YongkangJR Yeah same. I knew that she was extremely useful, just like SA but… I didn’t know that she was basically a get out a jail card.
Dude many thanks. Timing was really shit tight
Thank you Kyo, was able to use this strat after upgrading Orchid, my Angelina hit too hard. Even after accidentally exploding my Orchid while focusing on bursting Mudrock, I managed to stall the bombers with Gravel+Red long enough for the towers to kill them, and got Orchid back before the end.
Ugh. Well, at least this guide saved me. I almost end up wasting every single sanity i could have for the rest of the event. I was even trying to use Kyangi's strategy with using my own Blaze and borrowing Bagpipe, but i still managed to end up clearing TW-EX-8 CM in a similar way to this. However, i did keep a little bit note from Kyangi's strategy as i didn't put my slowing supporter (In this case, Angelina) on the right, due to the risk of being killed. I put her to charge the bottom left tower, and the medic (Silence) to the left. As for the right tower, i charged it by using fast-redeploys (Gravel and Projekt Red) - I won't forget how many sanity i wasted attempting to do this that gets ruined because any of the bottom towers get captured by the enemies.
The Kamikaze indeed pain in the a$$, I need Saria, Angelina and Red for Brainfriendly way lol
Thank you for creating this video, as I was drowning in a rage trying to figure out how to break through Mudrock with Ifrit, Mostima, Eyjafjalla, Saria and Silverash S3, just to kill her, which only failed.
Hello Kyo! Thank you for the strat. With your advice about putting Gravel before medic defender to kill the wolves, I manage to complete this challenge mode.
This looks heeeeellish lmao. Those exploding casters are such BS. High health, high weight, unsilence-able, high damage explosion AND attacks, AND with the device switching... Like come on who designed these dudes
You forgot high speed
Imagine if they dont drop health over time
@@wjsim You also can't stun the red ones.
makes your life easier if you replace orchid with Angelina. she can tank the hit so just let them explode at the bottom
@@osuryan3585 No she can't, my E2 Angelina retreat instantly after 1 explosion from the red dude. She can handle the normal, but F for red. Take me lot sanity to timing it
Just realized defeating mudrock on the left side instead of trying to spawnkilling her immediately reduce the dps requirement greatly. And yes those stabby creeper are annoying but luckily i managed to find a really consistent way of stalling those enemies by moving my slow supporter to the left side and activating the right tower with fast redeploy instead.
As always thanks for the guide
I always liked your detailed guide! But this stage is really a pain...the exploding idiots always seem to die too fast or too slow, and have to micro manage the stage with them at the bottom left and the golem/Murdock on the top right. Even with a higher rarity set of operators it’s still a pain...
Thank you for this!
forget Eya all hail the Doggo goddess of Mudrock slaying Ceobe. also thanks for all the help this event those last 3 CM stages were absolutely brutal.
After spending all the battle plan, my real life sanity and in game sanity finally i beat this challenge map. Texas's stun really save my life. Thank you for the guide Kyo.
The volcanic goat's level appears critical. Curora had a leak, which I improved fixing but, she barely failed to kill mudrock.
Though the defender spot held once I used Hoshiguma S2 instead.
Then since I didn't need to patch the leak I was able to do that body dump on Mudrock for the kill.
Thanks for the strategy. Had to repeat a lot from from the explodey guys.
THANK YOU FOR MY LIFE
many thanks
that was HARDEST map i ever did finaly done after 5 hours of trying thanks Kyostin
I played three hours. Finally I pass it. Thank you so much.
Thank you all guide guy.
Hohoho... So that's how you did it huh.... I did my regular one by smacking Mudrock with a bunch of fire power before she could claim the first tower (I'm talking about deploying SA, Eyja, Suzuran, Skadi, and Texas stun to gang up Mudrock). The problem is, I used 13 Operators in total lol. Maybe a bit overkill, but I'm too paranoid. And the CM only let me to use 10... That's why I have to give up on my brute force strategy and look for a guide from youtube... Salute to this stage for breaking my record of "not looking for a guide video except for CC". The last time I seek a help from your guide was when chapter 5 released. Lastly, your guide is good as always sir!
Why all my friends pick 2 skill on Eyja :/
ty mr kyostinv
Wow this stage really drain my sanity my head hurts
I had to hop back here for the cm version, my real life sanity was almost at zero
This worked when I swapped orchid to charge left tower, early gravel to charge right tower bot. It makes the bombers much easier because the timing is far more lenient. I swapped Eyja for my E2 Ceobe S2, no mastery on her. Just popped them hot sexy knives as soon as Mudrock was in range and watched her melt. If you can get a S2M3 Ceobe, it'll be even better I bet. This stage gave me conniptions for a while...
Did it!!
Thank you Thank you Thank You thank you!
This look so simple.. meanwhile I spend alot of time to defeat this lmao..
This took soooo looong! Even with this strat :(
phew. made it just in time. thank you. these are especially a godsend for people like me who dont have time so i can get rewards too lol
good amount of plume action in this event i see
I think I can barely manage with the bombers at the bottom but I cannot get the timing right with Eyja, also the only Eyja I can borrow is level 50 S3M0 so that does not help. My only other dps option is Schwartz but there aren't any tiles to put her in, I have skalter but idk if her skill 3 can deal some damage also I don't have Saria to reduce her defense. Mudrock always ends up with like 40-30% health.
Edit: Literally did it next try, skalter s3 really helped, and I also put mudrock with s3 in the tile in front of my cuora, she stunned the enemy mudrock and was able to land the last hit.
If you had problem stalling Mudrock try to use Frostleaf face top on Cuora position so you can slow her. Also we actually can use Melantha to stall Mudrock when she about to activate gramophone so Gravel can still do the job stalling the suicide bomb guy
Kyo's normal tw-ex-08 strat can be repurposed to the challenge mode with certain ops by not using the long range guard at all and using Silence's drone to heal the duelist top left at the start (so that you don't need the second medic). It does add an extra bit of sweatiness in terms of timing the heal drone but it isn't that difficult.
I do have a fairly strong team though, Hoshiguma, Nian etc. But maybe this is useful advice to someone still, as these levels are sweaty af even with strong ops.
Just ask if y'all need any details.
If you find difficult with timing and your slow supporter is dying you can replace with manticore with s1 and she will have safe distance from explosion. Haven't tried with ethan, probably can work too
Thx lord kyo XD
I just want to say the timing of Eyja is too hard to get right... like many, I could deal with those suicide bombers but I couldn't kill mudrock before she gets another shield up. After 60 practice tickets and maybe 50 sanity? I lost real sanity and swapped out low cost medic for Shining, low cost guard for Silverdaddy and kicked Cuora away and brought in support Hoshiguma. Managed to tackle the initial DP requirements by using Myrtle instead of courier and only let her tank 1 doggo. As mudrock rounds the corner like the US is on covid, volcano, schwing schwing and Hoshiguma's spinning thing. Shining's S3 allowed Hoshiguma to tank one mudrock hit. Finally I can rest in peace...
Thanks for the great guides as always!
Thanks for sharing your strategy! This helped me a lot. My Eyja(m3) can't kill Mudrock no matter how many times I tried. Eyja Skill and SilverAsh schwing schwing kill her so fast.
@@Yazawa-Nico I tried so many variants to block Mudrock but the shield kept coming up! I'm glad it was helpful.
Finally I implemented this... after what, 20 tries? And on normal mode, since I wasted almost two hours on this map trying to do "normal" guide and I never succeeded. I don't even want to start thinking about actually trying this on CM, since the timings in this goddamn map are hellish, and my Eyja is only e2 lv.20 lv.7 and she barely got it in time to kill Mudrock. Fun fact: you can actually let your Orchid die (and she will survive after a hit from normal kamikaze, but not the red one).
KyoStinV, thank you from the bottom of my heart... and whoever designed this map and these kamikazes, $#@% you very much...
Replaced healing defender with Saria S3 and Eyja S3 with Ifrit S3 worked like a charm xD
Had Cuora die on me before Mudrock could even get near her; was able to salvage the fight and somehow got this run down in one attempt compared to failing the normal version of this one 8 times. Borrowing a Eyja S3M3 really saved the run towards the end cause I ran out of units to stall.
I feel that. It took me 3 days to make it past normal 8. Finally managed to borrow an Eyja S3M3 and finish it. Hoping to borrow her again for the challenge.
Out of all guides only this one had timings generous enough. I did replace Single block vanguard with S2 Red to give myself some more leeway on the Shamans
even if your slow support dies from the explosion your turret will survive anyways and it's just a matter of stalling with gravel + vanguards.
source: me who got earthspirit killed 3 times and never got to use her active skill lmao
e2-50 m1 Ceobe also works, but I am not sure if she will work w/o atkspd buff from Angelina.
:D great guide! Love it, amazing, tried 16 different times to replicate it without everything being E2, 16 times failed...
Love wasting 100+ sanity for these plates, I just can’t clear it, I some how pull it off in practice but that cheese never ends
The idea to kill the boomers on that exact spot is brilliant. Thanks a lot! Got the idea from this video, and this was what enabled me to actually do this CM. Before that, they always killed my slower in the Orchid spot - I didn't realize they would still be hit if you let them move that far!
bro I so misunderstood this when I saw "boomers"
Nice guide, but I found it literally impossible since I don't own Eyja and I was out of daily refreshes (last day of event).
I had 3 10 pulls left and I wanted to just blow them and quit the game once my monthly card expires. On the last 10 pull I got Ceobe.
Crazy idea came to my mind, I went and spent all my money to get her to E1 lvl80. I put her where Eyja was supposed to be and used Saria's 3rd skill together with SA. It worked beautifully and I got this done on first try!
Here is some suggestion. I've just pass this stage. I used Myrtle to replace Courier position. Placed Saria with skill3 at Cuora position. At the first wave I used Gravel and Projekt Red to clear them. This one required less timing. I found this strategy on another YT vid. Hope it can help those who is not good at timing like me to get it.
Normal and CM stages combined I did around 60 runs for this map.
I neither have real life sanity nor game sanity left.
This tactic with a bit of changing did it for me and I am so thankful.
I changed Melantha to Mayer and Plume to Myrtle, the other roles stayed the same.
I did all these tries with Earthspirit as Supporter and it didn't work. Then I just said fuck it and raised Orchid from Lvl 1 to E1 60 and I beat it on the first try with her.
I don't know whats going on. Mudrock just isn't dying fast enough. She keeps managing to put her shield back up even after stalling 3 times. My eyja is L90E2 and her 3rd skill is lv7m1. Man I'm really garbage at this game lol
Edit: Ok I beat it. Turns out my timing is just ultra bad lol
I had a similar issue, i'm not sure if im going to early or to late though
@@XenithShadow My issue came down to trust so to offset it I had to spend my entire stockpile on getting Eyja to 90. That was on normal mode without skill mastery tho
same, but i finally cleared it using Saria S3
Same, I had similiar Eyja, you do realize you don't have to let her solo Mudrock when you can deploy extra two more characters. I just add silver ash and manticore and throw entire kitchen sink at mudrock. -2 char at start doesn't meant they reduce your deployment limit.
@@Al-ng2wn You kinda do need to have her solo mudrock, since if you follow the deployment in the video the only operator you could have switched to allow you to bring silver ashes would be melantha, or potenitally plume. That being said even if you swap out melantha for ethan with low trust on efyjalla she cant killed mudrock on normal at e2 90 m3 volcano with ethans help.
Thanks for the guide 😁you are the savior of last minute lazy people like me 😂
if you have skadi and Nightingale both e2, they make for an easy way to deal with enraged. just put them both on bot (make sure skadi is in range of both towers so she gets more healing), use skadi s3 as soon as the first red enraged appears, Nightingale s3 shortly after it wears off, then skadi skill again when it's ready. my skadi is maxed out but lower level should work too, maybe lv40 or higher
